He Has A Solid Chance , The Usual Qb's Of The AFC Are

1.Peyton Manning
2. Tom Brady
3. Phillip Rivers/Mat Schaub

But Since Manning Isnt Playing At The Moment , Matt Schaub On IR , Phillip Rivers Having A Off Year ,
With Only Brady Left Theres 2 Open Spots This Year , Im Assuming Rivers Gets The 2nd One , I Only See Flacco Having To Beat Out Big Ben And/Or Ryan Fitzpatrick For The 3rd Spot , And He Should Be The Top Alternate W/ No Competion At All
Have you actually been following the NFL this year Big Ben is all but guaranteed the #2 spot and Rivers will be lucky to make it as an alternate with how many ints he has thrown. I have Brady, Ben and either Flacco or Dalton (unless Rivers gets the popularity/respect for past accomplishments vote).

Espn is all for Tebow. Flacco needs to get there attention.
Everyone on this site should be required to vote.
Maybe if we all make sigs to vote for Joe!

Your right, but that is hard to do when you stink up all your prime-time games. He will make the Pro-Bowl this year, i guarantee it. Flacco loves playing against Cleveland.

My goodness, Joe Flacco is not even in the TOP 4 of Pro Bowl Votes in which has become a very depleted AFC. According to PFT, the Top 4 Quarterbacks in the AFC in Fan Voting, Tom Brady, Ben, Ryan Fitzpatrick and...... Tim Tebow!

Ryan Fitzpatrick has fallen off from the performances has was putting up earlier in the season, Brady and Ben are well Brady and Ben, and Tebow?? I believe in Tebow but he shouldn't be going to the Pro Bowl, especially over Flacco. That wasn't even a homer statement, that's the actual truth.

Only if he finishes the season strong. I think he can and will but if I were to be honest and not a homer. Joe hasn't been one of the top 3. He may be number 4 right now. But if he finishes strong I think he can. He may end up with a career high in yards though. I think Joe has 13 TDs and 8 Ints. Finishing these last 5 games, he cannot throw picks like that and he has to put the ball in the endzone more. It doesn't necessarily have to be passing TDs but they have to score TDs.

Flacco is a good quarterback. He has improved on his stats every year. But for Flacco to get to his 1st Pro Bowl he has to put up the yards and touchdowns. That is the only way he can show the nay-sayers(everyone outside of Baltimore). Its not so much his throwing percentage thats hurting his cause he just needs to throw more pass of 20+ yards AND connect on them. That will instantly get his yardage up and lead to me more touchdowns in the process.

Its all well and good that Flacco throws the ball to Rice. But Flacco does it a little too much. Im not saying stop throwing the ball to Rice, but call an offensive game plan similiar to the New Orleans Saints. Brees put up the yards and touchdowns AND his RB still get their carries and catches. Simply put if Flacco stops going to Rice after his first read is covered, but instead goes to his second and third THEN Rice, the Ravens will have a similiar offense approach as the Saints.

I don't think of Flacco as a Pro Bowler this year. He'll also never make it this year due to the media inexplicably making him their whipping boy this past off season. The general opinion among the masses is that Joe sucks and unfortunately he had enough poor games this season to perpetuate that theme. It's gonna take some gaudy season ending numbers as well as some serious postseason success for him to even be in the conversation - next year.

Flacco doesn't have the stats this year. However it really doesn't matter he plays for a team who's national idenity comes from the Defence.

I want to say something and I'm sorry I'm using this thread to do this, but it ties in to why i think that he will make his first Pro bowl.

First I want to say that i have been extremely hard on Flacco, and his level of growth throughout the years. After watching the tape on this guy, I am becoming more and more impressed with his ability to throw an accurate deep ball while taking a hit, and deliver the score to undersized receivers. Not really undersized, just not that big target, like say a Vincent Jackson and Megatron. 1/28/01, Scrock, Romo Ravens,rlh445, edreed20, fly,Franchise,Alexir are you ready for this. Im officially giving the franchise to Joe Flacco, he now has the keys to the Bentley.

This guy is the real deal and he will prove it down the stretch, mark my words. If he just takes what the defense gives him, and is patient, we will win the Super Bowl this year. Flacco is the best Quarterback in this division, and he will show you if you are still a non believer. I know some will say Big Ben, but i have examined every game at least twice, and he has all the tools in his game, and now with his new found confidence, and his stache, Flacco is one of the best in the league and will be for years to come.

I'll be pretty mad if Dalton goes.
Wouldn't be surprised if he does. There really aren't that many worthy AFC QBs other than Brady (and Tebow!)

I think the chances of Flacco making it are slim. He has been too inconsistent and unless you watch him every week like we do, the vast majority of the fans have seen Flacco during the nationally televised games and he has looked anything but good. Even the game on Thanksgiving, the word most used to describe him was "efficient" and the defense, deservedly so, took all the attention. You can't struggle against the Titans, Jags and Seahawks with the coverage those losses get and expect people to pick you.

Even if he cranks it up and the offense begins firing on all cylinders like they were to start the season, the only teams you have between now and when voting ends are Cleveland, Indy and San Diego. Lighting up any of those (with maybe the Browns being the exception) isn't really going to prove anything .. in fact, if he doesn't light up Indy and San Diego it will probably hurt even with wins.

I have just spent the last 15 minutes that would do justice to exactly how bad my jaw just dropped on the floor. Needless to say, I could find one good enough.

Every fan will replay that Jaguars game on Monday night in their mind, and not give the vote to Joe. Sorry but there will be no pro-bowl and Joe will not take an alternative. See 2008 when he was asked to be an alternate and refused.

If anything, Joe Flacco should have gotten the nod last year when the running game and O-line was horrid at best. For the Ravens to go 12-4 last year was a tribute to the defense and Joe. Heck every loss last year, the Ravens had a lead in the 4th Quarter.

Flacco can make it if he has good numbers and if we win the next five games. It will be tough to do I mean we have 3 division games the 0-11 Colts and one last look at Joe on national television against the slumping chargers. I think we can do it, but them Bengles will be tough with Aj Green(beast) . He should made it last year too over Matt Cassel.

It's just too bad that Joe has had one of the toughest defensive schedules in a long time. Look at the top defenses. He has to play all of them! By the end of the year he will have played the #1 passing D twice, #2, #3 twice, #4, #7, #8, #9, #11 twice, #13, #18, #19, #21, #25. That's 11 of 16 games against the top 11.

I've been saying that all season.

By PD ranking:

Here's Rodgers' schedule:

27, 16, 30, 17, 23, 8, 29, 9, 29, 28, 6, 26, 20, 12, 30, 6. Nobody in the top 5, and 7 games against teams in the bottom 7 of the league, 10 total games against teams in the bottom half of passing defense.

Here's Brady's schedule:

24, 9, 22, 20, 7, 15, 3 (a loss to the Steelers), 26 (a loss to the Giants), 7, 12, 14, 19, 10, 17, 24, 22. 1 top 5 team, a loss to a bottom 7 team, but overall 8 games against bottom half passing defenses.

Here's Brees' schedule:

31, 30, 2, 4, 16, 28, 19, 8, 28, 23, 26, 6, 13, 29, 23, 16. 2 teams in the top 5, 4 teams in the top 10, 12 games against teams ranked 16th or worse against the pass.

Now I'm by no means saying Flacco is anywhere near the level of these guys - yet. But I will say that he's had the much more difficult schedule, and he's the one playing with a rookie WR that had no offseason, a newly acquired wide receiver that missed almost half the season due to injury, two second year tight ends that had never started a game before this season, and an offensive line that had never played together before this season, had no offseason to work together, and has been reshuffled and without key pieces i.e. Grubbs, for a lot of games this season. But nobody besides Ravens fans care to look beyond his numbers and the fact that "he plays with a great defense, therefore he by rule must be a game manager."

Most definitely. Also look at the Strength of Schedule (SOS) and Strength of Victory (SOV) for the Ravens. So far in the AFC, the Ravens have the 3rd highest SOS in the conference (.541 just behind Denver and Jacksonville tied at .545) and the highest SOV at .591 with the next closest being .482 for Buffalo.
