Our "Free Agents" Aren't Faring So Well

McGahee is doing great, any time you can be a starter on a potential playoff team it's a good thing.

McClain probably hates himself for leaving

I just noticed after seeing Gaither get cut really none of our FA losses has prospered with the exception of Willis who is having a good season and should break 1,000 yds rushing. The other players have either had no impact, been hurt or just disappeared all together. Examples:

Gaither - Cut
Stallworth - One noteworthy catch against the Cowboys
Chester - Nothing
Wilson - Nothing, Zero picks
Mason - We all know his deal two teams since
Gregg - Not heard from
Heap - Injury bug has a grip on him
McClain - Same situation in KC (arguably worse)....

In hindsight what do you think about the decision to let these guys walk???? Once again Ozzie and Co. showed us why they control personnel and not us lol.

Gaither didn't fare too well his last year or so here either. Just a guy who seems prone to injury, and who also, from what I understand, doesn't work as hard as he should. Sad, because he has so much talent. Stallworth is the same, prone to injury, and also prone to drops. He had little going for him besides speed, and as he gets older that's diminishing. Chris Chester was a back up here, so it's not really unusual to think he'd be a backup somewhere else. I actually just posted a long paragraph about my thoughts on Mason, but to sum up, I love the guy but I really thought his stats the last year or two here were more a bi-product of how good Joe was and the fact that Joe had nobody but Mason, Heap, and Rice to throw to. Gregg is 35 years old; only absolutely freakish athletes like Ray, T.O., Jerry Rice, etc. can find a way from keeping their legs from going at that age, and leg/lower body strength is absolutely vital to the nose tackle position. Heap has been injured, and even when healthy it certainly can't be fun catching passes from Kevin Kolb and John Skelton - though I really, really, really miss him. I know it was time to move on and I love Ed and Dennis, but Todd is probably my all time favorite Ravens offensive player, at this point even over Joe. Todd was the Ravens' passing offense for a good 6-7 seasons, IMO. McClain's in a situation where he has no quarterback (and now no head coach).

Actually looking at it, a lot of these guys ended up on teams with a lot of problems - the Texans lost Schaub, the Chiefs lost Cassel, the Redskins have no idea who they are at all and have turned at times to Rex Grossman, and the Chargers are a complete mess, the most underachieving team by far this season.

Mcgahee (probably spelled wrong) is doing a nice job for Denver, but hes just doing what he did for us and Williams was way cheaper so I dont mind that loss, and all the others have done absolutely nothing for their teams, great job Ozzie!! Another job well done

True but he's having a 1,000 yard season which I don't think he would have accomplished here. They are definitely a run first team including the QB.
