IDK, for one thing, until a QB/team wins a SB it is reasonable for a commentator to question whether they can. But personally, I see the Ravens getting a lot of love on ESPN, I almost think you have to be in the "they disrespect us" mode to miss it. The Ravens D is definitely respected, I think people still have some doubts about Flacco's ability to take a team to the promised land. Again, not a completely whacked out question to have. Just today on ESPN I heard Ravens called, "the most complete team in the AFC."
If you're referring to Michael Wilbon on PTI saying that the Ravens are the most complete team in the AFC right now, he said that immediately after saying that the Steelers and Patriots are better than the Ravens. So really a backhanded compliment.

Hah yeah we're all having fun here. But really, we'll see you in the playoffs. Still a lot of changes that will happen before that time for both teams.

Ya, gonna be crazy...but for me personally, this is why I watch sports...cant get more awesome than this. IMHO its either Baltimore or Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl....so the best rivalry in the NFL is only gonna get hotter!

I agree. The Texans are solid even with Yates, but against our defenses it would just be one-sided. The winner from the West and 2nd wild card shouldn't be able to beat either of our teams, and the Pats are a lot worse than people realize (offense isn't what it usually is, easier schedule, already got handled by Steelers). It's Ravens/Steelers for the title.

On a side note, if it comes down to it, I hope you Steeler fans wouldn't mind watching the Ravens in the Super Bowl, because I would HATE watching the Steelers in the SB again. I would be fine with it if you didn't make the Super Bowl so much. We need one to keep pace.

I think as Ravens fans, you all know that we hardly ever get any kind of media attention. The only way that happens is if we play flawless football and we haven't this season and probably never will. We're not the kinda team that can struggle and we're still considered a top tier team in the NFL. GB or PIT can struggle and it was a rough patch. We struggle and our whole team is at the back end of everyones minds.

I have learned to glance at Power Rankings and Power Polls and look over the media when we're in the negative light and I'm sure you guys have to.

Fact is this, Power Rankings do not matter. We win out, we get home field advantage, number one seed. We just gotta keep winning and that's all I care about!

All everyone complains about is how we get no respect. Who the hell cares? What is everyone gonna complain about when the day comes when everyone fawns all around our ankles? It'll never come by the way. But my point remains. Embrace it. We are The Ravens. Haters will always hate. Let 'em. Let's go hit them all in the mouth and win out until November. Then let's talk power rankings.

That's the best part about being a fan. You get to dislike everyone who you feel doesn't give your team credit. It's satisfying when the analysts give the Ravens the credit that I feel they're do, but it feels much better to feel indignation when they don't give them the credit I feel they are due.

What would this forum be without Skip Bayless, after all?
If the Ravens make it to the Super Bowl by beating the Steelers and earning it I would have no problem at all coming on here and giving the you the Ravens fans and their team major props and respect and wishing you the best of luck in the Super Bowl. I came on here after the Ravens won in Pittsburgh on November 6th and gave the Ravens credit and said they were the better team, if they happen to meet the Steelers in the playoffs and beat them I will do the exact samething as painful as it might be...

It shouldn't be as painful for you guys to watch us in the SB as it is for us to watch you guys. We haven't been there in 11 years. I don't think once every 11 years is that bad for a team that has 6 already.

So what you are saying is that if the Ravens & Steelers do not meet in the playoffs and the Ravens win the Super Bowl it will be tainted?

No I didnt mean it that way at all...I think they will meet in the playoffs though unless there is a major major upset...The way the seeding and such is setting up right now I'd say at this point there is a 80-85 percent chance that there is going to be a 3rd meeting come playoff time...I said in November that these two teams were not done with one another yet this season and I truly believed that...

Houston is an overated one and done playoff team. I really think Tennesse gets the last wildcard spot because I hate the Jets with a passion. I like it more when the Jets lose than the Stealers. Lets hope that the Chargers somehow win the division because they are the only team besides the ravens that will beat Pittsburgh

Early on i did not think there would be a third meeting but as the weeks have passed there is a really good chance they will meet. I think the Ravens defense is a lot better than the game in Pittsburgh so if the Ravens do win the third time then all the sweeter and then the last monkey will be off their backs.

It's going to be an all out battle to see who gets that last wildcard playoff spot in the AFC. I think right now the Jets will get it over both Cincy and Tennessee. Their schedule is more favorable then both the Titans and Bengals but lets also not forget about either the Raiders or the Broncos potentially getting one of those last spots whichever one doesnt win the AFC West...

I don't understand why everyone thinks it's a big trend that the Ravens always lose to the Steelers in the playoffs. It's only happened three times. I'm not expecting you to root for the Ravens, just don't root against us.

Hahaha the funnist thing about this is:

"Just because Team A beats Team B does not make it better. Pittsburgh beat New England, but the Steelers also have been more consistent, despite so many injuries. While Ravens fans will yell and scream about twice beating the Steelers, they fail to mention losing to the Titans, Seahawks and Jags. If Baltimore's fans are correct, and their team is the second best in the NFL, then Pittsburgh's three losses are far more palatable (Ravens, Texans, Ravens) than the aforementioned Ravens' losses."

Does anybody else think this is a ridiculous argument? The Steelers three losses are to the RAVENS, Texans, and RAVENS...That makes them better than us hahaha

Actually, we have 7.

58 and 59 NFL Championship, Superbowl 5, 1985 USFL Championship (Baltimore Stars), 1995 Grey Cup (CFL - Baltimore Stallions)), Superbowl 35, and the 2010 AIFA Championship (Baltimore Mariners).

Got seven? :P

No, the team that has those titles now resides in Indiana.

lol I know right? I want to send an email and try to explain how flawed his logic is here. So. Pittsburgh's losses are more palatable because they lost to the Ravens' twice but...they are better than the Ravens so ergo they must have been beaten by a team that they should have beaten because well, they are better than them yes? What a vicious circle it becomes! lol

Three times. The Steelers have won all three times. Just like the Ravens have won both times this year. It's a good thing the Ravens are playing in the present and not in the past when we used to lose to you guys!

Uh correct me if I'm wrong, but the last two times we played, the first game was with a rookie quarterback and Derrick Mason, Mark Clayton, and Demetrius Williams (who was on IR). The second time we played was last year, and we were up 21-7 at the half. Still lost, but it wasn't a total blow out. Both times in Pittsburgh. If both teams win out, the game will be in Baltimore, and the Ravens will have had a bye week. Just saying, last year is not this year.

We still won them here in Baltimore. The BALTIMORE Colts won those championships. And if you don't like that, you can get out!
