Im not sure why we pounced on Emanuel Cook so quickly after the Jets cut him... looks like another special teamer.

The fixation people have on Josh Bynes blows my mind. Saw someone on the front page suggest we cut Chris Carr for him....

I like the kid, he had that one monster preseason game, and I hope he gets back on the practice squad but the FO clearly doesn't see anything special with him.

The one area we have absolutely zero 'game' on is our KR/PR. Ladarius Webb ( our #1 CB atm) is returning kicks right now. Zibi, Carr, Laquan shown no gains ever. Only real playmaker we had was David Reed. But of course he sinle handedly lost us a seattle game by himself. So..onto experimenting KR/PR till playoffs.

Im sure cooks isnt the guy. But it doesnt hurt to see what he has got to be in active roster i suppose.

Yeah this was disappointing... Josh showed real potential in the preseason... Cook had the huge play on special teams last week for the Jets, but other than that no idea what is seen in him... Must be for special teams... Dunno... "In Ozzie we trust"? Gotta admit he knows more about player potential than I ever will....

Now that's just nuts. I separate myself from that school of thought. If Bynes was on the team, he'd be a bottom-feeder for sure. You don't cut an upper tier player to make space for a bottom-feeding rookie.

I don't get this signing either.... maybe because Zibby and Haruki have a penchant for getting injured. You never know and we have depth at linebacker.

I feel for this kid Bynes though. I read he had a job and we called him back for like the second time? This can't keep going on for the guy. Getting his hopes up and down like this just isn't right IMO. He needs to get serious about his future. Not have it jostled around by the Ravens.

If I were him I would say thanks, but no thanks enough is enough

Not being signed isn't necessarily a precursor to the amount of skill a player possesses. It's happened before plenty of times where a player gets cut isn't signed for something like a year and then breaks out later on in his career once given a real chance. I'm not saying Bynes will be great, just that he does have potential and it has happened before.

You're joking, right? He was on our TC roster. He got reps in TC and in the PS games. But, you're right. He didn't get a "real" chance. Really? He got just as much chance as McPhee, Torrey, etc did.
