Cowherd: Ravens Are Most Overrated Team In NFL

139 posts in this topic

Cowherd from Sports Nation just said the Baltimore Ravens are the most overrated team in the NFL. I know his excuse is going to be cause we lost to losing teams, but we dominate against winning teams. I personally think the Patriots, Steelers, and Texans are overrated. The Texans especially now because of their QB problems.

Thoughts?

I just heard a dud on espn (Monday night football game) say the Ravens are the biggest over-rated team in football?!!! Why would they say such a thing and make such a claim? Espn should stick to covering games and not prognosticating ad-nausea and vomiting out garbage like that. Suggs said it all on Thursday night after the game when he said the Ravens don't get respect they have to take it. GO RAVENS!!!!

Cowherd is funny and I feel he's actually better than most ESPN talking heads. He's wrong though, he's also a Pats fan. This is probably also going to get closed like the "why is this team ahead of ours" thread. This is sorta being talked about in why ESPN hates us.

Overrated teams don't beat 8-3 Pittsburgh twice, the 8-3 Texans, the 6-5 Jets, the 7-4 Bengals, and the 9-2 49ers

Yes. Make this post a sticky until the end of the season. Let's collect a list of names of all of the "experts" who make similar claims. After the season is over , we type up the comments of each , insert the typed page between a couple slices of bread , and mail to each one of them.

To show we want them to enjoy their meal , we can throw in some of those little packets of mustard and such.

We're overrated? Steelers and Patriots are getting all of the attention in the AFC, always being given free passes over the Ravens when we have the same record and we're overrated? How many analysts out there have really praised the Ravens for beating the Steelers, Texans, 49ers and Jets? Hardly anyone is giving us any respect, and yet we're overrated, okay gotcha terd.

No one's even talking about the Ravens, who are they overrated by?
Thank you, the Ravens don't even get attention. The Harb-Bowl suddenly didn't matter anymore after we won and that was the most hyped matchup of the week lol.

Colin and Skip Bayless are the same....they both go out on a limb and say something that nobody actually believes and that makes no sense whatsoever. They only do this so that if by the 1% chance they are right (like somehow we lose in the first round) they can claim they made this bold statement and they are brilliant. on the other hand there is really no loss for them, b/c at the end of the season if they were wrong (like when we win the super bowl) no one will remember that stupid prediction they made 3 months earlier.

How could anyone say that with the Steelers still being a team?

Ya the team doesn't usually play its best when getting praise. I hope they give the team a reason to play angry the rest of the season. Stuff like this builds team chemisty, especially when you're winning.

The Ravens are inconsistent, but overrated? By who? People still have us ranked below Pittsburgh, New England, etc.

And yes, it was too much lol.

It's a ridiculous and incorrect claim - but who cares? We'll show 'em all. I love being the underdog.

Also who cares what Colin Cowherd says. He's not on the Ravens, never played professionally, just a talking head, and I'm 98.3% sure that he would do sexual favors for Tom Brady to give him the attention that he seeks so much.

Cowheard makes some good points about other topics...but this guy also trusts sanchez more than flacco and makes sure the masses of fans are happy, ie pittsburg, new england, gb, and new york. Just like any analyst, he has pros and cons

Ill never forget the argument he made why ryan leaf failed and sanchez is doing good....because sanchez is a good looking guy...seriously, thats what he said

Not sure how the Ravens became overrated the only commentators that consistently talk positively about the Ravens are Deion Sanders and Chris Berman..... Everyone else constantly find some reason boldin is too slow, flacco isn't elite, defense has some older guys wutever else they say....
The Ravens are overrated, but The Patriots haven't won a playoff game in 3 yrs, were beat at home by Ravens... Steelers lose twice to Ravens but are talked about as if they are perfect like Packers.

For the Ravens to be overrated they would first have to be respected by the media....

Ravens beat Steelers barely got highlights of them shown, all the highlights were of Big Ben scrambling to throw the Td ( take their only lead of game ) but commentary would have one believe the Ravens were behind all game and rallied......
Ravens beat the 49ers who are suppose to be only team with makeup to beat Packers defensively and ball control offense, it's not even a story because the broncos keeping winning with Tebow!! Or Tony Romo didn't blow the game for Dallas.
Overrated would be the Falcons who many picked to be Super Bowl favorites and they have to finish strong to be a wild card

Seriously, Tebow wins games without even throwing the ball and experts are all over him. Joe Flacco wins games and "the defense carried him". I wish the playoffs were here so the Ravens can shut people up, because apparently the regular season wins against the best teams doesn't do it.

It's kind of sickening isn't it. Tebow is so pathetic, don't blitz him, sit back, make him throw. Honestly, he's getting all the credit in Denver, how bout their defense and Mcgahee. If Denver has to score 20 points with Tebow they won't be able too.

If Tebow made that awesome drive that Flacco made vs the 49ers we'd still be seeing highlights of it. But whatever, this is old news, we should all be used to it. And if Cowherd wants to talk about overrated, how bout Pittsburgh almost losing to Tyler Palko.
