Anyone Else Worried About The Bengals?

38 posts in this topic

best case scenario is we have the division and number one seed wrapped up and we can rest everyone and that game does not matter worse case is we are tied and we have to risk injury to play everyone but I believe we win either way.

Admitting that the Bengals are good is a tough tough thing to do, but I will. This reminds me of the Ravens-Steelers over the past few years. The Ravens went into 08 with a rookie QB, an unknown HC, and OC that went 1-15 at Miami and a defense that was still strong from previous years. The Ravens surprised a lot of people that year by going 11-5..they were a good team yet the Steelers were the Super Bowl caliber team, they were savy enough to be able to turn every ravens mistake into points on the scoreboard and that always wound up being the difference between the two.
I see this as much of the same, the Ravens are the more talented veteran team with all of the pieces in place to make a Super Bowl run RIGHT NOW, but if the Ravens don't draft well, filling holes created by some of the older vets leaving it could be the Ravens who are eclipsed a few years from now much like the Steelers have been.

As for this season though, Cincy is good but the Ravens are a step above them. Do they worry me? Sure, they have just as much chance to beat us as Seattle or Jacksonville did..but if the Ravens can take care of business up until that game it might not even have any divisional implications whatsoever.

Little late on making this thread but i have some extra time tonight. I was very, and i mean very impressed by how the bengals played against us, it was my first time watching them play this year. Dalton is going to be a very good qb, add in green and you have a very dangerous combo. Im not sure how much more benson will do for them so im guessin they draft a rb next year for replacement unless they think scott ist he answer, i dont. Add in them getting those draft picks from the raiders, the bengals have a great foundation to become a very good team, hell they already are. Im honestly a little worried about seeing them in the playoffs and the last game of the season, they should have greeen back and that will give us problems. anyone else been thinking this

I am a bit, but this up coming game this sunday is a win , win for us Bengals @ Stealers. Even though i want cinncy to win but i wont be butt hurt if they lose. Stealers need to lose atleast one of these games coming up, im hoping we win out but i think we are going to lose atleast one game.

LOL i think they have a better chance of beating us than Seattle and Jacksonville, lol. Its embarrassing i know but those two teams are just down right horrid. The Seattle game wouldnt even be close if Reed didnt fumbe 2 times at their own 20yds line.

The great news is that by our next match-up we will have Ray back, and he will be reading Dalton as easily as he would a children's book.

But do we know Ray will be back for that game? I heard John said Ray will be back this season.
I hope that is true and not just a smokescreen.
