Brady wasn't the starter when he got to college either. He was behind who? I don't know. Point taken.
Also, Aaron Rodgers had to go to a small Division II, maybe III school before transferring.

If we were playing the Chiefs, there would be Chiefs fans trying to tell us Palko is better.

Being a die hard Blue Hen fan, I just want to say Wannestedt is an idiot. He was upset at the fact Joe Flacco was leaving the Pitt program and didnt release him from his scholarship. Joe should have actually had another year experience under his belt at Delaware but Wannestedt was dumba$$. Just because you dont give the guy a legitmate shot at the starting job doesnt mean you should continue to screw Flacco again by not release him from his scholarship, when he can play elsewhere. Instead Joe Flacco had to sit out a year at Delaware.

Here's an article about it from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

Great read....put it this way....it had to happen the way it did for us to draft Joe. Otherwise, in that true pro style offense of Walt Harris he would have been a top pick in the draft and we'd never sniff him unless we jumped up in the draft. We all know Ozzie and Co. don't really roll like that. So its a blessing....thanks Delaware!

Being an NFL QB prospect is more than just being a really good college QB. Ken Dorsey, Troy Smith, Colt Brennen, all were great college QBs but their abilities didn't transition well to the NFL. Tyler Palko didn't have the skill sets to transition his game into the pros, Joe Flacco did and that's why they are in their current positions.

I doubt Joe cares about Palko. I am sure he has moved on as he has found quite a bit of success in Baltimore.

It is kind of like explaining past girlfirends to your wife/current girlfirend......that was a long time ago....
