I just gained 25 pounds of muscle in the past 2 months and thats without nearly enough food and only hittin the gym 2-4 times a week. Im pretty sure someone with the money and resources that RR has they'd be able to do the same.
Im sorry but thats a bit hard to believe, i dont care who you are. Its just virtually impossible, thats over 3lbs of muscle in a week. Heck thats hard to do just gaining fat.

Somewhat agree but too many variables to really call out the poster. He could be regaining size from a hiatus for all I know...

Anyone notice that Rice is a bit slower now that he has put on what seems to look like 25 pounds of muscle compared to his rookie season.

makes sense were you get this theory

Ok im sorry for even mentioning the whole Steroid thing, geez, i honestly didnt think it piss everyone off, i really didnt. Stupid of me. Its just my opinion , sorry if i offended anyone.

I think Ray Rice is a beast and i hope he doesnt gain anymore Muscle , weight, whatever. He is fast and has great burst, if anything i think he should take off about 10pds and i think it would help him slipping through the holes and feel it would actually benefit him, the more you weigh, the more energy you use, its just my opinion.

Well if he said, a yr i would believe him but that would be hard too. Im not really trying to call him out, im just saying it virtually impossible. But 2 months, that pretty dam hard, heck even 10lbs of muscle in 2 months is hard. The only reason im saying it is because i know from first hand, like i said in my first post. When your working out 5 to 6 days a week its pretty hard to even keep weight that you have let alone gain it.

Not offended or pissed by it, it just shows ignorance on your part due to your wonderful reason that not only led to saying he was juiced but that he was slower for it.

one only has to look at olympic sprinters that broke records and later found to be juiced.

Also, no matter how much you like your own body your results are not indicative of whatd possible for other body types...

I gained 30lbs over an offseason due to a variety of changes in my routine most notably was the addition of a nutritionists.

I think he's fast enough, and to me acceleration through the hole matters more for an RB than top line speed does. I think his inconsistent blocking and offensive coordinator hold him back but we already know that story, no need to beat a dead horse here

I know its hard to believe, but its true, like Tiz said I just started working out agian. It took about 2-3 weeks to gain back 10 lbs I lost from not hitting the gym for 8-9 months then the next month and a half 15 more, this past month (Nov) only 5 more.

Like I said if I'm able to do it I'm positive Ray can without juice.

If Ray was half a step faster he'd be even more unstopable.

yeah, i just see it all the time, that if he was a step faster he'd have a 10 yard gain

Man when i read that, i thought of him Ducking and running out of the way when Harris. jumped, LOL Rice looked so Scared, i was pissed when i saw it though, i can look back now and be calm about it because we won the game but man i was p.o.ed when i saw it, actually dumb founded and shocked. R.Williams dosent block to well either but better than Rice.
I hope A.Allen starts to get some reps, we are going to end up losing him to another team and he going to end up blowing up. He reminds me of Rice just Taller. Actually he reminds me of R.Williams but the R.Williams 10 yrs ago when he played for the Dolphins. I used to love watching highlights of him, juking people and spin moving. It really did look like a video game.

Really? I can't believe this is a topic... Rice is very fast, but he's always been more quick than fast. I don't see this dramatic drop in speed...

He isn't slow by any means but he doesn't have elite speed either. Sometimes it's evident he doesn't believe in his speed because there are plenty of times he can bounce runs outside the tackles, but rarely does he do it.

Ray is not "jucing". If players do use steroids, its during the offseason, and they quit during the season due to testing policys. Im sure it only takes 30days to get juice out of your system, so players don't need a whole year to get it out of their system. LOL

Ray has prob. gained weight since his rookie year.. the man has unlimited time to train (workout). If I had the time that guy has to train,i'd be as big and strong as the best of them. but you, and I have jobs, and not unlimited time. I guarentee you didn't eat 5000 calories a day, and have a strick diet of mostly protein and some carbs like Rice does. You didnt have a personal trainer, a contract which makes you train hours a day.... there is no comparison between you and ray rice in regards to gaining muscle! lol

plus Rice has the bodytype which is fortunate to WANT to gain muscle, compared to the skinny body type. he is what you may call, a genetic freak. he was born for this.

When you gain weight your naturally going to get slower. Not that hard to comprehend he's a football player not a world class track star...
Not exactly true. It depends on how and what you are training for. As you mention track stars, they gain weight/mass and strength post college but get faster too.

Rice's speed isnt holding him back. Emmitt smith was slow for a rb but often outran people to the endzone

ROIDDDDSSSSS????? Don't crap on a mans ability to gain good lean muscle. He gained that muscle to be able to fight between the tackles. Rice was never fast he is quick. I'm as big as a Ray Rice and Im not on roids! Its called hard work and dedication and something called SUPPLEMENTS like protein to help me get where Im at today. You must be a lil fellow that always think someone bigger then you are on roids. You get a "C'mon Man" for this one!

i don´t thimk that he was talking about the blocking ability of ray rice. i think he was talking about the inconsitency of the oline, blocking for ray rice...ray rice is actually a prettty good pass blocking back in my eyes...

Ray has more body fat then in years past, hes not cut. Those 10lbs make a big difference on a guy his size.

What are you talking about? Not that I'm checking dudes out in the locker room but Ray isnt as defined as he used to be. He's got more fat on him this year then in the past. I reallt believe that. Either way, what could you say, do or prove to discredit it? So, basically were both speaking opinions...

Ridiculous thread.....Ray Rice is not a juicer and he's never been a speed back. He's consistent, back with a great burst, lateral agility, cuts that would break ankles and great soft hands (n/h). He's been this way since Rutgers. Yes I watched him in college too and was thrilled when we drafted him. Ridiculous premise to this thread though.

Anyone notice that Rice is a bit slower now that he has put on what seems to look like 25 pounds of muscle compared to his rookie season.

I hate to say this but is Ray on the Juice, I used to work out hard core and anyone who has, knows how hard it is to gain weight let alone muscle (didnt matter how much Ester and food i ate), I know he has professional help more than likely to keep weight and what not. I remember i was losing weight and it was very frustrating. (i may be wrong)

Anyways this isnt a post to talk about RICE on the Juice, im talking about Rice being slower now.

I came across this video and it confirmed it imo.

go to 1 30 , its the pats play off game, where Rice ran it in for a TD and man he looked fast as hell. Also look how much smaller he is, its very noticeable.

On a side note, i think alot, i mean ALOT of Star football players are on the Roids, thats why the Testing is being delayed so they have time to get it out of their system for next yr.

Mark my words, just watch how many Players lose weight next season.
If you look at the big runs Rice has had, it is important to point out at what time in the game those runs happened. In the Pats playoff game, and also on the called back run that started the Steelers week 9 game, Rice showed his speed and took it to the house. Both of those plays occured on the first play of the game, when Rice was fresh.

Many of the runs he has broken for big yardage came late in the game after he had been worn down by tough between-the-tackles running all game. It makes perfect sense to me that he would be faster on his first carry of the game than on his twentieth carry of the game.

That being said, Rice has speed, and its NOT due to steroids. That claim is absurd.
