Ravens Vs. Packers

I know it's early and all, but i'm sure all of us have thought about this. Do you think we could beat them if this happened? Is our secondary good enough for the Packers amazing WRs?

I think if we put up a great pass rush against there average line we can pressure Rodgers fast enough then Suggs & Co. get to hunt week 12 style. There defense doesn't scare me at all besides there corners, but by grinding out the minutes so there's less Rodgers and more 30th ranked D and playing mistake free do you think we can match points with the Packers? We all saw the Lions D contain the Packers, and we argueably have a much better D.

We've only given up 0.6 passing TDs per game so far , and our secondary is only getting better. I can easily see us holding Rodgers to one or two passing TDs , so it's not unreasonable to think we could beat them by only scoring 20-24 points or so. Since their average opponent has scored 21 against them , it seems doable to me.

Yes we are capable of beating them, and if we get there I think we match up pretty well with them. Need to get there first though. And there isn't even a guarantee they will make it themselves.

I like our chances. Since Jacksonville the offense, and more importantly Joe, seems to be coming together. Remember Joe should have had 3 TDs against Arizona that were all dropped, and that INT was off of a pass that Torrey Smith dropped, so if you take Joe's actual play into consideration, in the last 5 games he's "thrown" 10 TDs and only 2 picks. The last two games are his first games with a rating over 100 since week 3. Ray Rice, after having to suffer through those bone-headed Jacksonville and Seattle games, is finally getting his carries. It's no coincidence that when Rice touches the ball 15 times or more, even if he doesn't get the yards, we are 7 and 0, and in 2 of our three losses he had 8 and 5 carries. We have shown in the last few weeks that we can run a balanced offense, and that we have multiple rushing and receiving threats who will all be hard to cover. Defensively, we are second in points allowed, 3rd in total yards allowed, 6th in passing yards allowed and fifth in rushing yards allowed. The Packers may be first in offensive points, but they are 25th in rushing yards, and defensively are 31st in passing yards and 13th in rushing yards allowed, meaning they have a terrible passing defense and a solid but not spectacular run defense. I think a balanced offensive attack which can sustain drives and keep the defense fresh would give us an excellent chance in a game vs. the Packers.

It's early to talk about! But it would depend on which Cam Cameron shows up to the call game.... ( would it be pass happy Shoot out Cam or balanced attack to control Time Of Possession )

The difficulty I see with playing the Packers is that their offense is so dynamic it can quickly change the game. They have a lot of playmakers at WR and Aaron Rodgers is great at getting the ball to them, not to mention his athleticism allows him to extend plays where others would take the sack. This would require flexibility in the game plan, which I'm not sure Cam Cameron would be able to work in.

I think that when you look at the players we match up fairly well with our defense on their offense, considering that we have a few good corners to match up against their primary WRs and a strong pass rush to hurry Rodgers we could at least slow down their passing game. The Packers weakness is the porousness of their defense. While they haven't given up as many points as some teams, they hemorrhage yards constantly. If our red zone offense can execute then a game against Green Bay is definitely winnable.
