12 posts in this topic

I did most of my shopping on amazon, I wanted to get a ps3 but completely missed out on the deal(was stuck at work) so i ended up buying some games. I picked up dead island, Madden 12, Sims 3, Batman arkham city, dues human revolutions, and i got Fast Five, all for around 130 dollars.. so did anybody get anything interesting?

Agreed. Before I did my Black Friday shopping on Amazon too but before that, me, my brother and my mom went up to Wal-Mart and it was absolutely crazy! People were arguing and ripping through the plastic before they were allowed to shop for certain items and a couple of people even started fighting. All we wanted was a Kinect and to look for some movies but it was not worth staying there. We went home and got on Amazon and got the Kinect for the exact same price in Wal-Mart and I bought Battlefield 3 and we went back to Wal-Mart to clean up leftovers on movies the next morning. I ended up getting Inception, Devil, Book of Eli, Unleashed, and a couple of other movies. Much more convenient.

Just refurbed a 360 so I needed to build the game library. I picked up Borderlands: Game of the Year edition for $20 at Gamestop, and Dance Central 2, plus I took advantage of their buy 2 get 1 free on used games to buy Red Dead Redemption (with Undead Nightmare), Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Assassins Creed, Assassins Creed 2, and Dead Space. Also found the Mega Man X collection for GameCube and grabbed that.

I missed out on a lot of good games deals, but Cyber Monday tomorrow should make up for it. I picked up Battlefield 3 for my best friend, and I'll be picking up a few more things for him and myself.

I already made sure to take care of my parents before Black Friday -- they're easy to shop for, and I now have more cash to spend online as a result. :)

I went to Best Buy and they still had an excellent selection of games left. Picked up Dance Central 2 also for 24.99. Just waiting for my Kinect to come in from Amazon.

For everything that you're getting, that's an excellent, excellent deal. Most 3D Blu-Ray players retail in stores for $150-200, depending on features. Glasses can run you $100 a pop unless you recycle the ones you get from the movies or buy them online. And yes, the cheapest 3D HDTVs at that size run you anywhere from $1500-2000 or more. And full 1080p, at that? Nice job!

I was able to get a pretty sweet pc (HP HPE h8-1120) for about $780. Not as beefy graphics wise as my old one, but I got the processor and RAM I was looking for. Retails usually for about $900. It's soooo nice being able to play Fallout New Vegas without the PC crashing. I also got the wife a decent ring. She was upset when I told it cost us about $1700, retail $2500. After showing her friends, she's ok with it now.
