With so many of our players hitting FA who do you think we'll keep? I know it's early

Matt Birk - He said he wanted to groom a successor so sign him to a 1 year contract or we let him go and get a C in FA, or sign Andre Guorde to a short term contract

Brendon Ayanbadjero - One of the unsung heros of our team, we keep him

Ben Grubbs - Keep him, Ozzie doesn't like letting key players and 1st rounders that haven't busted walk. Theres a reason so many of our guys have been ravens there whole career or the majority

Jarret Johnson - Don't resign, he's 31 and we got great depth behind him

Sergio Kindle - Sign him to a 1 year contract to see if he has a future in this league

Cory Redding - Don't resign and let McPhee take over or get Darnell Docket (i can wish)

Ray Rice - Franchise tag him and work out a long-term deal

Bryant McKinnie - Don't need him

We can save cap space by releasing Foxworth

edit: Got BRANDON McKinnie mixed with Bryant McKinnie. Def keep Mckinnie.

I agree with everything. I'd keep McKinnie though for at least one more year and see how he does.

Birk - Andre could probably take his spot if he wanted to retire
Ayanbadejo - Special teams ace and a promising D player keep him
Grubbs - Keep no doubt
JJ - I'm not sure he's been with us for awhile and he never gets hurt or misses games, can make plays
Kindle - If we don't see anything out of him this year, let him go
Redding - I like him he makes plays we need to keep
Ray Rice - Duh
McKinnie - keep, because we all know what happens when we change our O-line up.

Ayanbadejo- with mclellan being groomed and playing well against 49ers, probably dont need him...also he is 35

Birk- fan of the 1 year deal, would love for him to groom a guy, however i don't know if his knees can keep up and we have gurode

Grubbs- honestly besides rice, most important offensive player on our team imo, look at the stats this year with him and without him

JJ- I personally think we need to keep him, very good at what he does, maybe a fairly cheap 2-3 year contract...thing to keep in mind is we have that mcadoo guy on the IR, not sure where he fits into this

Rice- goes without saying

Redding- sign him to a 2-3 year contract if the price is right, mcphee is very effective yet how will he play as an every down end, plus redding has played outstanding this year

Mckinnie- think we need him for one or two more years, not sure if we're going to be able to get a good left tackle in the draft this year assuming we draft at 32

Bryant McKinnie isn't a free agent after this season. He was signed to a 2 yr, $7.5 million dollar deal.

Brandon McKinney is the free agent after this season.

Honestly I can see us keeping all of them.

Most important are obviously Rice and Grubbs.

Birk and McKinnie are both starters, and our O-Line is weak enough as it is. Keep them both if we can`t find any upgrades.

McPhee might become a starter next year. Still if the price is right Cory Redding is good enough to be in a rotation.

Jarrett Johnson should be kept if possible. His play has yet too suffer because of age. And he is versatile, just not a pass rusher. We need veterans, there is alot he can still teach the young guys.

Ayenbadejo - If possible, should atleast be invited to training camp.

The Jets will overpay for JJ... After the way Rex was gushing over him after our game with him I'm convinced he has his sights on #95.

I hope that all of them are back so we can compete next year. The young players are getting better but we still need veteran leadership on the field. Birk and McKinnie have done well. Oher is better on the right side. Grubbs is looking better every week. He's worth a long-term deal. Rice can name his price and get it. I really think that we'd be foolish to let JJ go. He is the unsung hero of the defense that quietly performs without complaint.

I don't like the idea of letting JJ or Redding go. Yes we have great backups, but that's just it. Their backups are our depth. We have it good in the front seven, no need to let two vets go and go back to having no depth. I doubt money will be a big issue next year.

However, we are gonna have a LOT of competition next year. Just think of all the young guys we picked up or promoted from the PS. McClellan, Gorrer, Bynes, McAdoo, Kris Wilson... Only McAdoo or possibly Bynes will be eligible for the PS next year, and the Ravens showed they don't want McAdoo to be picked up. We better trade up in the draft because there won't be room for 7 new faces.

I like Ayanbadejo but I liked Heap and Mason , too. At age 35 , we can't bust the budget trying to hang on to him. If he'll sign a 1-yr deal at the right price , that would be great.

With JJ it will involve the same sort of tradeoff - he might be worth too much more to another team , and his agent will know what that figure is. The hope is that he'd take less here because he wants to stay a Raven.

Birk and Gurode are sort of interchangible , but we need to get a long-term prospect at C onboard this offseason , as we do for LT.

Keep: Jameel, Redding, Grubbs, Ray Rice = a must.

Cut: Domonique Crapworth, JJ, and Carr. No reason to keep chris carr if he is a depth CB at #4,5 AT BEST for 6mill/yrear.

Maybe: Birk, Ellerbe, Gorrer, Cary Williams, Zibi, Haruki, Brandon.

From what I've seen anyone who leaves Ravens realize they are missing out : both financially and in winning. Just look at Jared gaither and leron mcclain. Jared I think gets players minimum and that is for only 1year.

I was thinking Matt Birk was going to retire this off-season.
Not sure he'll want to come back for another year

As for JJ, he'll get a payday that Ozzie won't match. Probably the Jets of course

We are not cutting Carr, we are not eating his remaing 3- years of his contract. We had to eat money from Gregg and McGahee this season and what are they doing for us. All the players Ravensstrike mentioned are restricted free agents, so that is a plus.

Matt Birk - He said he wanted to groom a successor so sign him to a 1 year contract or we let him go and get a C in FA, or sign Andre Guorde to a short term contract Agree

Brendon Ayanbadjero - One of the unsung heros of our team, we keep him Disagree entirely. He's 34 and he's really just a special teamer. Time to get younger. He doesn't offer that much on defense imo. I think we let him go.

Ben Grubbs - Keep him, Ozzie doesn't like letting key players and 1st rounders that haven't busted walk. Theres a reason so many of our guys have been ravens there whole career or the majority Agree. He's essential to the offense.

Jarret Johnson - Don't resign, he's 31 and we got great depth behind him Agree, hate to see him go but it is time to get younger (and faster)

Sergio Kindle - Sign him to a 1 year contract to see if he has a future in this league Agree

Cory Redding - Don't resign and let McPhee take over or get Darnell Docket (i can wish) Agree here, McPhee is a beast in the waiting.

Ray Rice - Franchise tag him and work out a long-term deal Definitely agree

Bryan[s]t[/s] McKinnie - Don't need him Agree. We'll be fine without him.

We can save cap space by releasing Foxworth

edit: Got BRYAN McKinnie mixed with Bryant McKinnie. Def keep Mckinnie. We need to find a LT of the future in this draft!

I think we keep Redding. I'm really starting to like this guy. He's become a mentor for all our young d-line. I also think if it comes down to money he'll take a little less to stay here. He was on the Lions team that wen 0-16.

I think we need McKinnie, he might only be an average player at this point in his career but it's better going into one offseason and trying to find replacements for a centre, possibly a left guard AND a left tackle.
