Just popped in to congradulate the Ravens and give props to you fans for backing your team. It was a clean game with both teams dealing with injured players and your team's backups really stepped up to dominate the line of scrimmage.

The Ravens have an AWESOME defense!!! I couldn't believe they sacked Alex 9 TIMES! Damn. Unbelievable. How they've managed to lose three games to weak opponents is truly perplexing. You're much better than your record indicates.

The game went pretty much as I predicted it would... except we lost.
Lots of field goals and few, in this case one, TD. I was proud of my Niners for holding up our streak of not allowing a rushing TD. And not allowing a TD in the first half for 5 games now. I was STOKED to see Alex throw a 75 yard TD pass play to Ted Ginn. Even more stoked to see Ginn actually catch it. Both things are beyond rare. Bummer that the chop block penalty negated it but it was the right call. Niner fans shouldn't be complaining about it.

Good luck in your playoff run. Maybe the Niners can help by beating the Steelers for you. And MAYBE we can meet again in the Superbowl.

So again, props to you guys. On that day, the best team won. And thank you for being such gracious hosts to a visitor.

Nothing like a nights sleep with a mouth full of crow. See ya'll next time you're on our schedule.

Respectful post....you have a pretty nasty team, we just happen to be the better team last night. Could have gone either way!

Like I said, I can now be a 9ers fans for the rest of the season.... maybe a rematch in the BIG GAME!?

I'll be honest though. Many teams try to come into the bank and be the "Tougher Team" it never happens. The more wise gameplan would have been to take more chances, though I guess that would have been hard with Smith getting beaten all night.

Best of luck to your team. I love watching the 49ers play football. I think Alex Smith is too conservative and that is ultimately what hurt you guys last night, not enough chances being taken imo. With your WRs and TEs, no matter how inconsistent they are, I think you have to stretch the field more. Run game was pretty good, and the defense was pretty good too. I think once your pass game gets better that running game will take off.

49ers have a strong run game with a stout defense and solid special teams. The development of the QB (be it Smith or Kapernick) will keep them on a solid path of contention. Just like John Harbaugh is older than his brother Jim, his team has a more veteran and battle tested group. Niners are some youngins who will make strides and get better.

Now go beat the Steelers for us.

Thanks for the posts and respect. I've seen a lot of Niners fans making excuses and complaining about some of the calls, but I'm glad you agree that all the calls were right. (Especially the interference call.) Good luck in the playoffs!

And please beat the Steelers.

Now this is a class act post!

If you can take the Steelers out, then we'll definitely owe you a rematch in the SB. I will be looking forward to watching the SF 49'ers against the Packers...I hope SF gets the change to destroy GB!

Yeah, I hope you guys can hang an 'L' on the Steelers. Won't it be wild if we meet again in the Superbowl. Both teams have a lot of work left to make that happen.

Would have posted some comments about how your team played well (especially on defense) on your forums but for whatever reason.. your mods have it locked down like Fort Knox. What is it.. like a 30 day registration process + acceptance letter w/ approval in order to post? Jeez..

Anyway, go slaughter the Steelers for us! Ravens Nation will be rooting for ya'll that day!

Nice post, it was a very well played game. Lots of respect to you for coming in here and taking your chops. The Niners have a great team, but it was really a bad situation to come in on a short week. Your defense is legit, and despite taking 9 sacks Alex Smith actually didnt play that poorly. He could have easily gone down 3-4 more times but he got out and made some plays. I would love to see you guys again in the SB, now go beat Pittsburgh for us!

This is a 9'er fan i can respect. It was a good game, your team just needs more time. But you guys have the recipe for sucess, the NFC isn't ready for you guys. go tear it up.

Honestly wasn't expecting Alex Smith to make half those throws he completed. If Jim can instill some confidence in that guy (which im assuming is almost non-existent after Singletary) he'll be fine. Right now, he just seems reluctant to throw into tight windows even though he seems capable of doing so. A lot of those sacks weren't completely on him, either.. obviously :)

Thanks for the kind words my friend, the 49ers are good and are only going to get better, I personally am looking forward to seeing Kaepernick in the future, when he and Dalton were drafted I said they would be the best QBs outta this draft. Alex Smith is an alright QB but its hard to get anything done against the constant pressure he was facing last night. The Niners didn't spend a 2nd rounder on him to have him ride the pine after this season.

Great game last night, congratulations Ravens. I do have a question though, how do you feel your matchup vs us compares to vs the Steelers and how do you feel we matchup against them?

Steelers have to travel across the mountains to the West, facing one of the toughest crowds. It's not easy for any team to beat the red hot 49ers at their home.

I smell Steelers defeat.....

Sweet, thanks.

Once again congratulations, you guys look like the favorite from the AFC in my opinion especially with flacco playing solid like he is.

very classy of you.

but, the Ravens didn't play up to their potential in their 3 losses to the subpar teams. and you cats can have that streak of not giving up a rushing TD (although we almost snatched that from ya!) just as long as our Ravens got the win to go 8-3. LOL! good luck to your boys the rest of the way and beat the steelers.
