And Browns fans for that matter as well.

Browns-Bengals blacked out in Cincinnati

Sad state of affairs when your team is doing well and cannot sell out to prevent a blackout. The fact that the game is in Ohio and it's a Browns/Bengals game makes it even worse in my mind.

I'm surprised that there aren't more fair-weather Cincy fans going to the game.

I mean, their team looks promising and they're against a Browns team that's somehow won 4 games. I guess the Red Rifle isn't enough of an attraction yet.

It IS pretty sad that it is the Battle of Ohio and they can't sell enough tickets to prevent a blackout. Does that mean between them Cincy and the Browns don't have enough fans to fill a stadium?

Could be the state of the economy. Ohio is one the states that is suffering the worst. Or it could be lackadaisical fans.

It is pretty sad and I don't find it funny, but I guess if they keep winning, it shouldn't be a problem going forward. I don't understand why the fair-weather fans thing always comes up, every fan base has them. I guess some fans are just too stubborn and don't want to give Mike Brown anymore money, I don't know. There's no excuse for it, should be out there supporting the team.

Seems a little unfair to take a shot at a fan base like Cincinnati’s in a season like this. Last year’s Bengal team was awful (as were 3 of their last four teams), then came Mike Brown’s announcement the coaching staff would return intact, then Palmer demanded a trade, and then came the lockout. The entire country wasn’t just predicting the Bengals would be bad in 2011, they said the Bengals were the worst organization in all of sports in the middle of the worst off season in the history of sports. 2012 Andrew Luck comments were being made even before the 2011 draft had started.
And then came those notices for season ticket renewal from the Bengals, along with a dandy little statement about how season ticket holders would be S.o.L. in the event of canceled or scab games. Cincinnati probably entered 2011 with fewer sold season tickets than at any time since Paul Brown Stadium opened.
Now, they’re exceeding all expectations, everyone’s remaining disposable income is earmarked for the holidays, and the stadium has far more tickets to sell than in previous years.
How about if everyone enjoys their own team, has a great holiday, and lays off a Cincinnati fan base stuck behind the blackout eight ball?
