Have a safe trip!

You're about to get some warnings for Caps.... And keep searching for 9ers praise on a Ravens site....
Good to know about caps being a taboo here. Every NFL board is different.
I've seen boards where anything goes including vulgarities, personal attacks and nudie pics being the standard(Browns board)... to over-moderated jokes where a post can be deleted because a mod thinks it's stupid and not worthy(that would be the 49er boards).

"Searching for praise"... is that what I'm doing? I thought I was talking football. Silly me.

Nah, you're fine.

I always enjoy having the opposing teams fans view here anyway. Saves me from having to go through the annoying registration process on other forums!

.... this is the baltimore ravens here guys. the team where countless times and players have stated. they love being the under dog , under rated. flying under the radar exc. they love it, so what if we win, they wont give us recognition we fans want, who cares. reallty, i know the ravens and its people dont and wont ever care about this stat and that stat.

we thrive when the spotlight isnt on us anyway. so whoever thinks recognition is the greatest thing on eart, is mistaken. to me it just puts your head on a wanted poster, and every team out there points and screams im coming for you!.

in our history we never have been a team to love and want the exposure and the attention. we are a team that moves best without the eye on us. we dont want the light. we get that enough when the steelers are in town. and if that publicity isnt good enough for you to take in , then surely the publicity that has been established ever since the 49er-Ravens Game came up on thr schedule and the Brother vs brother, surely should be enough, especially in recent weeks, and now its almost upon us.

so just relax about the "ATTENTION .......WE NEED ATTENTION.... " teams respect us regardless of media.

Who cares about respect?

And teams that lost to Seattle, Jacksonville, and Tennessee don't deserve much respect anyways.

True, but if we played in the NFC West we would be 9-1 if not 10-0.
For the record, Baltimore has played 3 NFC West teams, so far the 49ers have only played 2. The NFC West will certainly help the 49ers get some wins at the end of the season, but their 9-1 record at this point is legitimate with a mixture of easy and hard games.

Only reason we not getting the respect we deserve is b/c of the quality teams we lost to and rightfully so. Hell, even some of our own fans are doubting the team b/c of those losses so it makes sense for them not to give us the respect we deserve. I like to be in the underdog class instead of the favorites class anyway. Another thread of someone saying we not getting the respect we deserve or Flacco is not getting the credit he deserve and I'm going to pull my hair out..... its like beating a dead horse with a stick!

Damn Straight. Who Cares? And frankly why should we get respect after we lose games against Seattle/Titans/Jags

If we win. I am happy with a win. I don't really care who has excuses for why we won. Don't need them to validate my opinions. If they need excuses its because we did something right, won.

And on top of that. When you have that sort of mentality. You only truly hear what you want to hear. (that we get no respect).
Yeah, the sweetest counterargument is a win. My Steelers buddy still tries to insist that they are better though. Just boggles my mind.

I for one am annoyed that people are still nagging on us for the three losses. Would you rather we lose to PIT, HOU and NYJ? I don't care what any doubters say, I feel as good about this Ravens team as I have any. Better than the 09 squad and 10 squad, I can almost feel something special on the horizon.

The Titans loss doesn't even bother me.

Only thing that bothers me is how we lost to Jax and Sea.. because we could have easily won both of those.

But.. coulda, woulda, shoulda!

I mean the loss to the Titans was at a team that hates us more than we know, against a squad that has matched up well with us ever since our exsistence, coming off a week 1 loss to Jacksonville and playing us for the first time since th 08 div. playoffs.

The loss to the Jags? Remember, our defense played extremely well and definitely showed up focused and prepared. The offense, as inexcusable as that performance was, I stand by my belief that it was a fluke.

The loss to the Seahawks actually surprised me the least, but I wasn't very surprised about the others either to be honest. The only things that surprised me was Davids fumbles and the defense getting owned by Marshawn. But other than that, it was at Qwest Field and a big, physical secondary gave our WRs fits for much of the afternoon.

Don't get me wrong, they were all inexcusable. But I still feel good about this team going forward.

I'm with ya. Jags game was one of the worst offensive performance I'd witnessed out of this team in a long, LONG time.

The Seahawks game was pretty much given away by David Reed.

Who cares about respect? It's a football game. have some fun and watch it with your family on thanksgiving. We get tons of respect from analysts anyways. and we are one of a few teams in the last 3 seasons, going on 4, to consecutively go to the playoffs.

Lets play the game before we chalk it up as a win or loss, or a gain in power rankings. This is a team that lost to Jaguars and Seahawks. we still have alot to prove.

I'd be lying if I said that I didn't brush off SFO's early success as a fluke ...figured the lockout, luck, whatever, played a role. Every week I have thought "this week they come back down to earth", and every week you guys keep winning...at some point, it isn't luck anymore. SFO is just a damn good team without many holes.

The "weak schedule" argument is meaningless. I'm sure half the message board here (myself included) thought we'd be 8-2 or 9-1 at this point when we saw our schedule. There are no gimme's; you have to beat whoever is on the schedule, and SFO has done a better job of that than we have so far.

But this game will be a real test ... if you walk away with a win on Thursday, you can tell all the "weak schedule" theorists to stick it.
If you lose, but keep it competitive, then people still have to take notice.

Third thread this week about the national media

Screw them, who cares what they say

Why are some fans so concerned about the media and desperately seeking approval?

We`ll get respect when we earn it. We`ve gotten plenty respect in the past this season, only to repeatedly fall short of expectations. Still we`re in the top 5 in most analysts power rankings. I don`t see how we can move any higher with our current record.

There are some really big question marks with this team, that they`ve yet to prove they can overcome on a consistent basis. As good of a surprise Torrey Smith has been. We haven`t been able to do much in the passing game against teams that can cover. We fail to get the running game going more often then not, and end up abandening it quickly. Yet we still use a running formation, handicapping our passing game. Having a FB in on just about all plays except 3 and long. That means we can`t get 3 WRs on the field. Joe Flacco still can`t get his completion percentage over 60% and above 80 QB rating.

Our young tight ends can`t catch, can`t block, can`t get open, can`t get anything after the catch, and passing their way there is a serious chance of that leading to an interception. That`s is not even close to the reliable target, match up problem and security blanket that a tight end should be.

As much talk of Joe Flacco overcoming the Bengals defense. In the past their corners have been Jonathan Joseph and Leon Hall This year their cornerbacks where Pacman Jones and who? Wouldn`t say he has proven anything yet. To be fair it`s the entire offense. Not just Flacco.

We also have a good chance of losing this division, despite sweeping the Steelers. Even if we beat the 49ers, we have a harder schedule to finish the season then Steelers. Who might just win out. Which means we would have to do the same. There`s a good chance we`ll get wild card again. And this year we`re not nearly as stout on the road. The only victories coming against the Rams and Steelers, and having lost to the Jaguars, Titans and Seahawks.

The 49ers are quite possibly the best team we`ve faced this year, so I wouldn`t count on us beating them anyway. That defense gets more pressure then any team in the league. That goes along way in taking away our deep balls. Which is the just about the only thing that makes us dangerous on offense.

No, if we beat the 49'ers that will tell me this team is legit

and they can play at a high level consistently against the best teams in the league

oh..and who cares what anyone else thinks

9ers, short turn around, East Coast flight, playing at the Bank, on Thanksgiving, against a good team overall, a great team at home, all of that equals a WIN for the Ravens, to me.

It's my CONCRETE lock of the week,

I don't think the road thing really matters. They are playing at 8, not noon.
Just curious ..
What makes an 12:00 game any different than a 8:00 game when you're playing on the road?

Yea, missing a day of practice for travel.... on an already short week.... The 9ers have been good at it this year but its pretty common idea that it DOES make a difference in most cases.
