Even If We Beat The 49Ers..

We still aren't gonna get any respect. "They won at home". "They were they favorite they SHOULD win", "It was the Ravens Superbowl because of the brother aspect". Why can I literally see us continue to get no respect even if we win by 2 scores. It's the same thing as when we swept Pitt. The media outside of Baltimore deliberately ignores our win and tries it's best to make some other game such a big deal that it swallows our success whole in the media. When we beat pitt in dramatic fashion and completed the sweep in pitt on the back of Joe Flacco's 92 yd drive @ Heinz, the next day it was nothing but "Eli Manning beats the Patriots!!! can you believe how good and how clutch Eli is OMG".

Don't get me wrong, I really don't care what the talking heads say as long as we get the W. But I just find it comical that they play this game every time we get a big win. It's called "How can we diminish the Ravens success into a non issue". I'm convinced the ONLY way to get respect is to beat the Packers in the SB by at least 3 scores, Flacco has 500yds passing. Maybe that's enough to earn a pat on the back lmao

Shoot, we got the same treatment after winning the Super Bowl. There were talking heads claiming the Minnesota Vikings- who lost at home 40-0 to the Giants in the NFC Championship Game that year- would have beaten the Ravens handily. A friend of mine who is an inveterate Ravens hater still insists that.

If we win. I am happy with a win. I don't really care who has excuses for why we won. Don't need them to validate my opinions. If they need excuses its because we did something right, won.

And on top of that. When you have that sort of mentality. You only truly hear what you want to hear. (that we get no respect).

The fact is the 49ers are overrated at this point in time. They aren't as good as their record indicates. I live in the Bay Area, I watch almost every 49ers game. Honestly Pitt is overall a better football team than SF and we beat them twice. The 49ers defense is the best thing they have going. But Joe dealt with Pitt's D who locked down Brady just 1 week prior. We play QB's like Big Ben so much that I can't see Alex Smith doing ANYTHING through the air. Less than 200 yds passing. Gore stays under 100 yds. With jimmy coming in at cb now.. good luck our D is getting better overall as a unit every week. You guys play in cupcake division where you aren't pushed to your limits like we are dealing with Pitt and Cincy in HUGE Divisional games. We play more physical, we do everything the 49ers do just that much better.

What? When does anyone rag on the 49ers? After you beat the Eagles, or the Giants, are there analysts saying those teams are still better the day after you won? Because that's what the Ravens get after sweeping the Steelers. Does anyone predict a 49ers lost because "Hey, they lost to the Cowboys". Well the Ravens lost to Tennessee, and that's come up every week since. Every segment or video on the Ravens is questioning them and every segment on the 49ers is praising them.

I feel where the 9ers fans are coming from but sorry its just not the same.. The Ravens are the ONLY team in the NFL to have WON a playoff game over the past 3 years. We have been an ELITE franchise since the Hargaugh/Flacco/ Rice era and yet NO RESPECT. ..No QB has won more games than Flacco since he's entered the leauge STILL NO RESPECT ! This is the 9ers first good season in probably over a decade. This is Alex Smith first good season and he's been in the league since I think '04 . 9ers are a great team I won't take anything away frmo them and they def get my respect. But we at least need to see them do it for a FULL season

This isn't the 1st quarter of the season. The 9ers have beaten the teams that were put on their schedule. Better than we have. That isn't being overrated that's a trend of doing stuff right.

You sound so sure. Wish I had that. The problem is that our team has a history of bad turnovers in our losses this year. Coupled by bad O-line play. I certainty can't say for sure that both of these issues won't arise.

True, but if we played in the NFC West we would be 9-1 if not 10-0. We have been in dog fights with Pitt (twice), Cincy, Houston, and NYJ. We came out on top ALL of those games. The best team the 49ers have played is the Giants (in SF).. we have been playinga higher caliber of opponents period. I would bet the 9ers catch a smack down from Pitt later this year. Baltimore-Pitt Football isn't soft NFC style ball. No disrespect to SF but like I said, I live in the Bay Area, this same core squad of guys have been mediocre for years. Baltimore's same squad of guys has proven they succeed year in and year out. They play in the worst Division in Football, sorry I'm not convinced. If I was a 49er fan i'd be praying to based god for some fluke turnovers. That's the only way i can see them winning. Gore type backs don't give us trouble.

I'm just confident, I watch these 2 teams play probably more than anyone on here. The 49ers are overrated, very good squad, will give us a hell of a game.. but not quite as good as everyone thinks. Not even Pitt's caliber if you ask me. Will probably resemble the Houston game. Remember we haven't lost to a "good" team all year and are undefeated at home.
