Think that the Bears are done with him. And that it would be good, for the Chiefs to get him. Should the Tyler Palko experience fail. Which in his first outing, the Chiefs got slammed by the Pats on MNF!

That's not what I am hearing according to ESPN Chicago
ESPN Chicago reports that the Bears will put in a claim for Kyle Orton before Wednesday's 3PM ET waiver deadline.
I also hear the Chiefs are 'considering' putting in a claim for him. Like I said it all comes down to what the Chiefs general management goals are right now.

The Chiefs should definitely take him I mean Tyler Palko is just awful he makes Caleb Hanie look like Peyton Manning. They still can win the division plus they have Dwayne Bowe one of the best in the game.

We should try to claim him to be a backup to flacco, would our claim come first over the bears though as we are both 7-3, after what the bears pulled against us in the draft this year, if we took orton then they might not make playoffs. I also read somewhere that he may come with a compensatory draft pick.

I believe the Bears have the 30th "slot" right now, so only two teams are below them. At least thats what i heard on ESPN yesterday, not sure if thats true. But yeah, i dont think we would try to claim him, isn't really worth 2.5 million to hold a clipboard.

People on this forum would go crazy. There'd be more "Start Kyle Orton!" threads than there were start tyrod taylor threads.

Should be interesting to see where he goes in the next hour. Bears are indeed 30th, Chiefs are 9th.

Now it has come out that the Colts explored the idea of trading for Kyle Orton before the season and they are the first team that can claim Orton so we'll see if the Colts change their mind and actually want to win some games or just continue tanking the season.

http://profootballta...-before-season/

Waivers Claim List(Of those who Need a QB):

1) Colts

6) Redskins

9) Chiefs

25) Texans

30) Bears

Ravens would be 26th. Maybe Ozzie should put a claim on Orton to be Joe's backup to screw the Bears out of Orton just like they screwed us of our Draft Pick!

Just think if the Chiefs sign Orton and then goes to Mile High the last game and puts a hurt on his former team...how ironic that would be.

Confirmed: Chiefs have Claimed Kyle Orton.

Update:There is a report going around that Kyle Orton won't report to the Chiefs if claimed by them, and so now since it is official that he was claimed by the Chiefs now the situation could get ugly since Orton doesn't want to play in KC.

Orton's agent is the same as Carson Palmer. So sitting out isn't too far fetched. I heard the same thing earlier. Apparently his agent called up KC and informed them of this.

Orton would've matter more with the Bears. KC is a crap hole.

Wow. Apparently if KC didn't put in a waiver claim for Orton he still wouldn't have made it to Chicago.

The Dallas Cowboys put in a waiver claim for him! According to ESPN dallas.

Yeah I read that earlier, that's interesting. Anyone think Orton could lead the Chiefs to the playoffs, I mean the AFC West is weak at the moment which is why the Broncos can be so horrible and weeks later be in contention to win the AFC West.

I'm just hoping Orton can spark the Chiefs enough to beat the Steelers #Wishful Thinking

I don't think he's going to play against the Steelers this week, I think Palko will still be starting for the Chiefs.

Maybe the spark isn't him playing. But the spark is to Palko because he could very well have his last chance as an NFL starter. Orton is breathing down his neck.

That's funny but not real funny. I'm shocked he isn't starting this week against the Bears, Tyler Palko is going to once again start this Sunday.

Hey Chiefs... it's too late to "Suck For Luck", The Colts had it wrapped up weeks ago.

Took them long enough, Kyle Orton is going to be starting for the Chiefs when they play the Packers on Sunday. As for Palko, he has been demoted to third string with Rookie Ricky Stanzi now the backup to Orton.

Personally they should have played Stanzi to see what he can do so they figure out if he can be the future QB or not.
