Player Autographs Before The Thanksgiving Game

9 posts in this topic

I was at the steelers game last year and my younger brother and I went around to the players entrance side and watched some of the players as they parked and walked into the stadium. I didn't get any autographs then but I'm taking my wife this time and she'd really like to see the players and maybe get some autographs. Okay, so short story long.....

How long before the game do the players start showing up? I can't remember what time it was last year because I was on beer 8. Thanks!

I think 2 hrs before the game, I do know people sorta camp out there every game. We used to see the opposing team buses go in about 2 to 2.5 hrs before the game when we were in J - couldn't miss the police escort.

Yeah, I did give the steelers team bus two big middle fingers. Oops. I need etiquette lessons.

Know Pachabel's Canon in D that has recently been turned into Christmas Canon by TSO? The original was the processional in my wedding 20 years ago, well about 5 or 6 years ago one of the guys who tailgates with us is a bit emotional and started wishing the Steeler players the best of the Christmas season as the buses were waiting to go over the railroad tracks and there was a lot of a word that began with the letter 'F'--I can't here that song without remembering that lol or hearing him. I almost bust out laughing at a wedding when it was used NOT GOOD.

I bought a ball last night to get the autographs on.

It just occurred to me. Am I going to be able to take the ball into the stadium with me??? I'm not driving to the game.

....and while Im still talking to myself, its good to note that R. Lewis, E. Reed, T. Sizzle, and H. Ngata are all said to only sign autographs AFTER the game. I only got Lewis' after though, patted him on the shoulder as well. Sizzle walked straight out and I was on the wrong side for Ngata. But the Lewis signature will be a 'forever' classic. And when you consider he doesn't have a lot of years left, it might have been your last chance.

Oh. No doubt. His and Ed Reeds are the icing on the cake. I got Eds only signature of the day so it was a huge success for me.
