On around the league live he was just asked which QB he would want in Thursdays game vs 49ers...flacco or smith? He said he wants smith because flacco is inconsistent n been with John harbaugh almost 4yrs n smiths been with Jim half a year n is playing great but then commented he jus plain don't want flacco...REALLY?! What you guys think his problem is?

More importantly, who cares? Every year it's the same thing. The Ravens will never get anywhere with Flacco. And every year he does something more impressive than the year before. Besides, I've said a million times, all of the quarterbacks who get on TV, Trent Dilfer, Phil Simms, Joe Theismann, Ron Jaworski, Tim Hasselbeck, ect., always have good things to say about Flacco. Shouldn't their opinions matter more than a fullback (Evans) or a center (Jamie Dukes)?

I saw it and turned Heath off; He claimed Flacco is too inconsistent, but he as an analyst is too inconsistent with his football knowledge. Just like Dukes, he does not get me as a viewer.

I just watched this as well and he is an obvious Flacco hater.

Oddly enough, he praised the Ravens D without mentioning the failure in seattle last week and yesterday's below average performance.
Dude is obviously confused and should seek counseling.

Why do we as fans get so worked up when national analysts makes these kind of comments?

I could care less who Evans would take between Flacco and Smith.

Cuz Joe is a WAY more proven QB then Alex smith!! I honestly didn't know who he was til last season n that's only cuz Troy smith went there
Maybe the most significant thing about Alex Smith is that the 49ers were deciding between him and Aaron Rodgers in the 2005 draft. They acted for weeks like they were going to choose Rodgers, then took Smith and Rodgers fell all the way to 24. The rest is history.

There is no rational explanation for the Joe hate when you look at his numbers. This year's completion % is a statistical anomaly, but is also improving, ie normalizing. Winningest QB in the league since '08, or damn close.

If I was asked whether I'd start Ben Roethlisberger over, a peewee football player I'd say heck no. Illogical? Yes! Do I have to watch a steeler play? NO!

Whew, I didn't see the "Heath" in the thread title at first and thought it just said Evans aka LEE! I was like no...did he start some controversy because of lack of impact?

I do not know anyone on any network who likes the Ravens other than Sharpe or Billick.

La Canfora is a Ravens fan I hear. I would imagine that Dilfer might have some nice things to say and Woodson always did too, although I don't see much of him anymore (of course, I don't watch alot of coverage anymore either).

Woodson is the secondary coach for the raiders

Oh... that might be why I haven't I seen much of him. :P

Who cares, Heath Evans is a scrub and straight hater. Why do these guys become analysts if they are just gonna be biased and not be professional. Look at Berman and Tom Jackson, they discuss football without any bias and try their best to just be honest and be accurate to what is actually going on. Morons like Evans, Collinsworth, R. harrison, Bruschi, and even Deion (at times) are completely unprofessional and just discuss Football PERSONALLY and with bias. All these former players, smh. If your gonna bash an entire team because Ray Lewis hit you so hard your mouth piece flew out that sounds like a personal problem. They don't deserve to be on TV just to hold grudges as "analysts".
