McClain was a softie, IMO...never was a fan!

I know, I know.....he was a whiner for carries and all, BUT there's no denying that man had the size for short yardage behind a good fullback. It would make me feel more comfortable with our short yardage situations... :/

Could you imagine if we somehow managed to keep Le'Ron as our back up RB. Him hitting the hole with leach leading the way......that would give any defense nightmares. Reminds me of Mcgahee behind Lorenzo!

Nah i watched him in one of the KC games recently, Id rather have Vonta here , I dont care too much for R.Williams honestly. A.Allen looks to be the answer to me. He needs to get some reps.

We've been excellent at the goaline though.

Have they? I've seen multiple games where the team has struggled to pound it in from the goal line. Also, the team has benefited from calls that have given them more downs on the goal line. I feel the goal line and red zone offense has room to improve. I see this team taking delay of game penalties to back em up so they can just bomb it to Torrey when they're within the 20.

I agree. McClain would do nothing to solve the 3rd and short woes. In 2010 he had plenty of opportunities at short yardage and struggled. He needs a great O-LIne and great FB. But if we had a great O-Line, Rice could get it done just as well.

More often than not we score. I'm not necessarily saying we score on a high percentage of running plays from the one or so, but more often than not, we've gotten in after a first and goal from that close

I agree there. I'd love to see Anthony Allen get carries in short yardage situations. I dont know the cheifs fullback off the top of my head nor do i know enough on their line to make a comparison to ours, but Le'Ron always appeared to have a little laziness in him (maybe just my opinion), so he may just be not motivated playing for a 4-6 cheifs team with Palko at qb? I think he'd be motivated if he was still here getting carries.

The funny thing is, here is there being a FB. He isnt getting anymore carries than he did here in Baltimore, i think he is getting even less. LOL

By softie, I meant I never liked what he brought on the field. Never mind the lobbying for carries as a FB, ugh!

lmao! I know, I was thinking that around week 5. Sadly he's getting what he deserves. But speaking of the chiefs......Kyle Orton, Baldwin, Bowe, Breaston, a decent D, Primetime, at Arrowhead.....Upset anyone!??!

Not at all, why would it. I think its messed up that K.C took Orton knowing that the Bears wanted him and he wanted to go there. K.C is out of the play off picture, they are being spiteful. You know he is gone as soon as Cassel comes back, its kind of a stupid move on K.C.s part if you as me.

How are they out of the playoff picture? They are 4-6 and 2 games back from the division lead with 6 games to go. They gave up nothing to acquire a player to make their team better right now. If Orton puts on a display these last 6 games, do they go back to Cassel next year? In that case, I dont think it's that easy of a decision.

There have been plenty of upsets this year. This has the potential to be another!

I highly doubt that K.C will make the play offs the way the Raiders are playing football right now. Also have you seen their remaining schedule , man looks pretty tough compared to the Raiders. Yea and i know any given sunday but the odds are stacked against them imo. From my understanding, they dont run the same kind of Offense that Orton is familiar with. And Orton knows the system at Chicago. I know he wanted to go to the Bears but he would be pretty stupid to turn down 2.8 million if he decided not to go to K.C
