Congrats To Raven Fans On Win

28 posts in this topic

Just here to say congrats on the win, it was a lot better game than even I anticipated it to be. I can't wait till we play again week 17 @ Cincinnati. I must admit, I'm a bit salty with some of the things that went on in that game that will take me awhile to get over, but we had 3 costly turnovers and that just simply cannot happen. Considering the mistakes we made, I was happy to still have a shot at the win. Anyway props on the win and see you week 17.

Just think... That was without our best WR as far as young guys. ;)

Great game. Andy Dalton and the offense were phenomenal aside from turnovers. Dalton wasnt merely a game manager, he shot at us when it mattered the most with huge plays all over the field onto no-body receivers. Your offense ran all over our defense today. It was a good thing good players on our side made turnovers, otherwise our defense wouldve had alot slack to pick up. But we'll definately be better and our D' will be more ready for week17. I have a feeling this might go down all the way to the wire till the last minute of reg season to determine who will get the AFCN crown.

Yeah, he might have caught some of those passes that magically glanced off other receivers' hands and would have undoubtedly made some big plays. But we were without our signal-caller and best MLB on defense, it evens out.

That is not what I was referring to, I know what the Ravens were without. He just said he was impressed with our young guys and he didn't even get to see our most impressive young guy in A.J. Green. Overall minus the 3 INT's, I was very happy with how Dalton fared against the Ravens defense for the first time in a tough environment.

I hope you are right and I was happy with the performance as well aside from the turnovers. Hopefully it does come down to that at home week 17, that's what I'm hoping for at least. Thanks for the props.

Well having Ray Lewis in the line-up, instead of Ellerbe, would make an impact on how the D plays and, in turn, how your O plays - which was my point.

Aside from the INTs, Dalton did very well. I was more impressed with his mobility than his arm, to be honest, he evaded sure-fire sacks and picked up yardage with his legs. He made a ton of plays throwing the ball, too.

Hopefully we'll all be healthy Week 17 and see what happens then. The Bengals made some clear halftime adjustments because they couldn't do anything in the first half aside from the first TD drive. I was glad to finally be able to move the ball in the second half, but overall I was impressed with Dalton today. Hopefully he keeps learning and keeps getting better every week.

The fact is that even with the three picks , the Ravens had a battle down to the wire. This was a dogfight , and I don't like to think about what A.J. Green would have meant to the outcome , with or without Lewis. We're going to have to play our very best to beat Cincy in Cincy , especially if it has playoff implications , which it probably will.

We're probably going to look at Cincy like we have Pitt in years to come , maybe moreso since Pitt may have more players past their prime. This could be the next big rival in the division for the Ravens , assuming , that is , that we continue to be contenders in coming years.

That is a scary thought. And what is worse. Mike Brown is going to prove to rest of the hard working NFL FO that being cheap, dumb and lucky is the formula to winning.

Haha , that's right.

Better to be dumb and lucky than smart and unlucky. For some reason , it seems smart and lucky never get together.

Speaking of lucky..has any1 ever notice more times then not a tipped pass is caught by the opposing team? I've seen it happening to us for the past few years n as good as a team we are we hardly ever get lucky

Great game! Dalton impressed me, I have to say. Made a rookie mistake here and there but that's to be expected. Good luck the rest of the way and we'll see you Week 17 :)

Cincy played well, to be honest though. I was disappointed in the Ravens defense. Glad the offense capitalized on tunrovers and had some big plays.

Dalton played great, we have him a bunch of time to throw the ball and 5 passes with blown coverage. I like him, he's going to be q good one.

Funny how bengals fans thump their chests the second they win a game or two, then all of the sudden the bengals are the best team in the division...until they play the Ravens and Steelers back to back and lose. Then the story changes to "well our young team played you guys tough yadda yadda yadda" at the end of the day these ARE the 3rd place bengals once more.

Also, let's not take away what OUR young guys were able to accomplish. Ellerbe and Mclain both played solid without Ray. Cary Williams, Lardarious Webb, Jimmy Smith and terrence cody all having great games on defense.
Oh how about OUR rookie offense?
This Ravens team is just as young and promising as the bengals...but better. Good game btw

A good case could also be made that Ozzie has been both smart and lucky on a few of his draft picks.

Exceptions that prove the rule , maybe ..........

now this is class! thanks!

but...no need for you to be suprised by that game cause the bengals always play the Ravens tough. and that young Andy Dalton is fire bruh! that young cat is a superstar in the making...that is for sure! with 3 turnovers he still kept you guys close to a victory. glad my boys pulled it out of course but you guys played well. see you week 17.

Andy Dalton really impressed me. Reminds me of a young Matt Hasselbeck, with a much stronger arm.
He and AJ will develop into a dangerous duo...your offense will be outstanding if you can improve the OL and find a long term RB.

I think your comment is wrong, not all Bengal fans are like that, it goes for any team. If the Ravens look unstoppable, you believe it's a Super Bowl, if you lose to the Seahawks, the season is over.. My point is... All fans are the same way, it isn't just Bengal fans. For me, I have not declared anything like that. One thing to keep in mind, before the regular season started, basically 99.9% of the world said the Bengals were doomed, they didn't stand a chance, they'd be lucky to win one game, so you have to realize why we've been happy. Same thing happened with the Steelers, they lost a few games and people thought they were old and slow and done, then they go on a winning streak and are the favorite, then the Ravens at one point are the favorite, they lose to the Seahawks and then they aren't the favorite. It changes so much throughout the season. I prefer the Bengals being under the radar though, that's the way I like it.
