Cary Williams got abused by Jerome Simpson all game for goodness sake. I was only impressed with the big INTs from Reed, Jimmy, and Webb... very hard to grade their performance.

That speaks more to Dalton than our defense. Dalton is a freaking pro. I have mad respect for him after this game.
Well I've watched portions of a number of Bengals games he just drives down the field in pressure moments all the time.... He impressed me against Tennessee and continued to impress me today also.....

bengals have the most points in the final 2 mins off halfs/end of game in the league, steps up when it matters, some would say clutch

Comeing into this week the ravens were tied for third in sacks. Yeah the pressure really wasnt there until the end today but u have to give credit to Dalton and the WR of cinnic they made some pretty outstanding catches in tight coverage. Jimmy got burnned on that big TD pass but im chalking that one up to being a rookie the secondary looked great !

He's a rookie whose played very little. Did you really not expect him to get burned eventually?
Everyone gets burned, even Revis. Just as long as he doesn't make a habit out of it! :)

If Jimmy is moving to full-time status , it will be a mistake of monumental proportions if it results in reduced playing time for Webb.

Jimmy should be competing for playing time with everyone BUT Webb.
jimmy needs to get more time each week so hes not making mistakes like the one he did today. that was a mistake a player with little experience makes. every other play hes been extremely tight in coverage. i see webb with loose coverage a lot so i see jimmy being the better of the 2 eventually. however, even though webb does get beat, he makes a ton of huge tackles and is good at blitzing. which is why i think he would be excellent as the slot corner or even play in cary's spot. but, jimmy will be the starter sooner rather than later

I wouldn't mind Smith playing this week against the 49ers, as long as its on the inside, 49ers receivers aren't to great supposedly

lets not forget his excellent read on his interception. i mean so far on about 10 total plays all season he has a pick, a defensed ball, and 1 reception against

Raven had better address the 373 yards given up in the air. I am concerned that the last 4 teams have all scored 20 some points. The offense is unreliable at times and now it seems to be gradually speading to the defense. The defense used to rank 1st but has been sliding in the past month. Why? Who on our defense is being successfully attacked?

Had a few mistakes but over all very good job. Webb has really stepped up and become a big time player. Liked what I saw from Smith.

Yeah they didn't have Green, but we didn't have Ray Freakin Lewis
I didn't know Ray played corner.
But besides that the DBs made some great INT but also got burned many times without there best WR(Green). I would grade the Ravens DBs a C for the day.

Ray makes the defensive calls and is no slouch at rushing the passer. He would have definitely helped the secondary today.

Not complaining; we won the game. Just saying, you take the GOAT off the field, and your team's gonna be a little worse off. It's simple fact.

Cary completely mistimed his jump on the huge Simpson catch early in the game. I think if he jumps a little later, he could have either swatted it down or caught it for the pick.
Even with a better timed jump that book looked out of reach. If he had stayed with the receiver he could have broken up the play. Hindsight I know, but our secondary could play a little smarter. Williams, like Carr, seems to give receivers too much cushion.

Yeah, it made zero sense watching us all out blitz and have our CBs leave such big cushions. Wrong on a few different levels. Cary is physical and excells at press man. If you all out blitz and Cary mistimes the routing of the WR, the pressure may get there in time. I've hardly seen these guys get beat in press man. But all game long the Bengals took short routes like quick outs and others because that is exactly what we gave them. We never really adjusted.

The secondary survived yesterday , barely ! I must have been at a different game if you think that was impressive. Ed Reed interception was a massive effort from him to get the ball. Interceptions in the end zone are save you a** plays. Considering if the secondary had done it's job they would not have been that close to the end zone.
There were targets opened all day for Dawton. With 10 yard cushions. I think they have a long way to go to be considered impressive.
