The Green Bay Packers...

... does not have a top 5 defense on their schedule none this year. The best defense they've played so far are the Chargers, ranked #10. The top defense their scheduled to play are the Detroit Lions, #7, in which they stand to play twice (in week 12 and 17). So I'd say yes, they have a good chance to go undefeated in the regular season. If the Ravens (or Steelers <or Bengals... >) see them in the SB, I expect a W for the AFC North !
Also, I'd like to give a shot out to Steelers WR Antonio Brown for coming over the SU.com to wish the military veterans and active duty personnel on there a happy veterans day and to take our questions. GO AFC NORTH !

Not that the Packers are unbeatable, but the Steelers kinda lost to them last year already. And the Packers are better this year. Not that the Steelers can't do it, but if it comes down to it, I'd bet on the Packers. And you could understand why.

If any team in the NFC can take the Packers down, it's the 49ers. But if the Pack makes it to the Superbowl, they'll be up against a team from the AFC North. I honestly believe we have the 3 best teams in the conference. The Pats, Texans, and Jets are all struggling, and no one from the West is any good.

A lot will change from now until January and we won't really know who's up to the task of taking the Packers down until then.

The Packers are the only elite team in the NFL right now.

Doesn't mean they'll win the SB or anything. But you can't take away any credit from that offense, and Rodgers in particular. Hes simply having a legendary year for a QB.

And..... The Point? The Packers can't help who they face, and it isn't the NFL Schedule Makers fault for not making sure they play a Top 5 Defense. AFC North plays the NFC West, is it the Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals fault?? Is it the Schedule Makers fault for having the North play the West?

Nice try trying to take away from what The Packers have done by saying that they haven't play a Top 5 Defense. I don't care how you get there but 9-0 is pretty damn impressive no matter who you play, whether they have a top 10 defense, top 5 defense or the 32nd Ranked Defense. Also what makes you so sure the AFC North would beat the Packers in the Super Bowl, it is laughable if you think the Bengals could beat them, and the Bengals most likely would have to go through Baltimore or Pittsburgh in the playoffs if they make it to the divisional round. Packers have already beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl, so if they did it once, they can do it again.

As for the Ravens, Packers beat the John Harbaugh led Ravens before and the team that the Ravens or Steelers would face in the Super Bowl this year, WAY, WAY, better than the team the Steelers played last year in SB 45 and is certainly better than the Packers team the Ravens faced in Lambeau in 2009.

I know they can be crowned reg season champs. But they have some weaknesses that can be exploited by a pretty decent coach. They can be beat... no doubt about it....

Just like they could've been beaten for sure last year when they lost 15 players, with the majority of them being starters?? And how they were REALLY gonna lose once they lost both Woodson/Driver in the Super Bowl on such short notice with no practice being without either??? How'd that go for ya??

Never bet against the best Quarterback in the NFL that, right now, looks like he's going to the Hall of Fame as one of the best to ever play the game. If he somehow were to keep his current form he's going down as THE best.

....Nearly lost to the Bucs. The Bucs. I forget how many unanswered points they scored before GB finally had the final scoring drive. They are not all the media is making them out to be.

their defense has had some horrible games. if you can slow down rodgers, because stopping him seems impossible, then yes they are beatable.

Their defense is holding that team back, but you can't deny that the offense is the best in the NFL by far. Rodgers is playing at a level above everyone else in the league right now, he is phenomenal, and you can't stop that receiving corps.

Nearly maybe, but still a win. The Packers have been putting everyone away. We can't play our way out of a paper sack against the so-called crummy teams.

Completely agree. Their schedule has been pretty easy but its still impressive that they are undefeated. The Ravens could learn a thing or two about beating the teams you are supposed to beat. I dont see the Pack going 16-0 though. I think Detroit will give them a good game and Chicago has been playing really well as well. Those will be the best defenses the Packers face all year. I too would like to see how an AFC North Defense handles them in the regular season, but I guess we will have to wait until the SB.

There's a saying that comes to mind, "The only way to get better is to play someone better than you. You keep playing with bums, and you'll just end up a bum yourself."

The Packers are having their way with their schedule this year, and not taking anything away from them, but come post-season -- all that is left are good, battle-tested teams. If their defense keeps playing at the level it is right now, depending on Rodgers to run up the score on opposing defenses, the Packers will be one and done.

Exposed? Their defense has been terrible the entire year. They've been in the bottom in passing yards allowed since week 1.

In fairness to them, when Rodgers is putting up those kind of points the other team is forced to pass a lot more. That's going to expose the secondary more than normal.

Whats happened to their D this year? They have the same exact players, with the exception of Cullen Jenkins. He's not that much a game changer for the Pack to fall this far. Their D last year was amazing, this year not so much. Collins is hurt, so I'm guessing thats like 1/5 of the trouble, but whats the other 4/5's???

Personally from a Packers fan perspective, I think it's as simple as the difference in the team this year and its philosophy. The Packers defense this year is their offense. Thinking back to a year ago, we played a lot of close games where our defense was relied upon to win games for us to a degree. This year, because of the Aaron Rodgers show, we've jumped out to big leads early in most games, and opposing teams are forced to pass a lot and throw the kitchen sink at us, which is part of the reason our pass D is one of the worst in the league statistically. Usually great teams that center themselves around offense have lackluster defensive numbers. If you look at teams like the 1999 Rams, 2004 Colts, 2007 Pats, etc. none had great defensive numbers, because they knew their offense would score points so they simply had to slow down teams, not stop them completely. That said, I still trust our defense, because as bad as they've been at times, I have yet to see a time this year where they have absolutely HAD to get a stop and failed, and they've showed good resolve in the ATL and CAR games to keep games close when they fall behind early. Forcing turnovers as well as we do helps a lot too.

Anyways, just my opinion. There are other reasons, but this is the biggest I think. Love your team by the way, good luck from here on out!

Thats what makes this team so scary. I really can't see a Capers led D filled with so much talent keep playing like this.

If this D can get back to last years form, the rest of the NFL teams might as well go home.

I completely agree here. If they get back to playing their nitty-gritty defensive stands like they did last year, and the offense can keep putting up performances even half as good as they have been doing, they will be unstoppable. Another reason why the 07 Pats were sort of shaky to me was because their defensive players were so old so they would give up the big play when they got worn down by the run game, and also the lack of any kind of running game. The Pack have young guns on D who will continue to develop and learn under Capers, and they have Starks for the run game, who is doing a good job, at least enough to keep it rolling when needed, unlike 07 Pats.

Well Packers can clinch a Playoff Spot this weekend IF:

1) GB Win + DAL Loss or Tie + ATL Loss

2) GB Win + DAL Loss or Tie + NO loss

3) GB Win + ATL Loss + NYG Loss or Tie

Packers are unbelievably hot, and their D is good enough that it won't prohibit them from making a run at 16-0 and a SB berth. A-Rod is just that good.

Eh, not on the GB band wagon. Rodgers is top notch so don't go jumping on me but they have other issues that can be exploited. Their schedule has not been that tough defensively either.

Soooo....as for me.....Go Lions!!!!!

My gosh.... Green Bay Defense getting torn apart by Stafford and Kevin Smith. I know they were horrible but damn not this horrible. Aaronj Rodgers will most certainly have to win them the game for them today.
