Ray Lewis - Out For Cin @ Bal (Toe Injury)

153 posts in this topic
The Carroll County Times reports Ravens ILB Ray Lewis will miss "at least this game and possibly more" with a toe injury that has kept him out of practice this week.

The 16-year veteran sustained the injury in last week's game. It must be serious for him to miss a key AFC North clash. Lewis reportedly traveled to South Florida on Thursday to visit a toe specialist. The Ravens will be without their team leader while the Bengals may play without their best offensive player in A.J. Green.
We are so screwed as we have nothing at the ILB position.

This is where not grooming a replacement for Ray comes back to haunt us...

A game without Ray is like ripping the heart out of someone. You lose that heart beat.

That means one thing if true...

Time for someone else to step up and take his place. Almost like heart surgery I guess you could say.

I just saw the sidebar note on NFL Network. Ouch! But, next man up! Go get well Ray Ray, we need you in top form in January and February!

you negative cats in here need to calm down!

sure, Ray is our leader and the energy he brings to the table is second to none and will be missed....BUT.....if the truth be told....this gives the Ravens a small glimpse of what they can be defensively in their moving forward without Ray for whenever he retires. hopefully, he has another 1-2 years left in his tank. so....next man up! let's see what we are working with and who will rise to the occasion on the defense to make plays. this should be interesting! let's go Ravens! win this...not for the gipper....but...for Ray-Ray! this one's...for Ray!

Geez , what is the deal with toes ?
I think Rex Ryan has something to do with it.

This is not a "NEXT MAN UP" scenario. There is absolutely no way we have anyone on the bench that brings a 1/4 (not exaggerating) of what Ray does. Will someone fill the spot yeah but I dont expect a whole lot from them, Ellerbe has shown glimpses but Harbs dont like him, and McClain isnt anything great.

No. There was a toe wearing a ravens helmet on the cover of madden.

I don't know about that , but I'm sure he'd volunteer to help with the rehab.

The first time Rex ever saw Ray's feet , he said : "They're lovely " , and it creeped Ray out so much he wore his bunny slippers every time thereafter.

Is this confirmed? It says he flew to see a specialist but he was at both pressers, and if it was on the injury report it would have been reported by someone other then the Carroll County Times.

Seems fishy to me.
