Starting Rbs

I Know slaton's got a good matchup in Indy, but you don't bench a player who's coming off of a 5 TD game. You've got to go with Ronnie Brown and Forte

Slaton is in some ways a poor man's Reggie Bush and his success will depend on the success of the Texans' offense which hasn't been great against Iddy historically. Meanwhile Forte is facing the Pussycats of Detroit and Ronnie Brown is still going to be the focal point of the Dolphins offensive attack and the Chargers have had trouble stopping the run before (296 yards by AP last year?)
i can start two of

Ronnie Brown
Matt Forte
and Steve Slaton

**i have slaton and forte starting (for this week)
This is a tough decision, but a great one to have! You really have some good guys that you probably drafted late or off the waive here. Do you have other RB's that are on bye this week?

Indianpolis and Detroit rank 31st & 32nd in the league in rushing. Indy ranks 2nd in pass defense behind us, that's because nobody passes on them, they just run.

I'd go with:
Matt Forte (must-start)
Steve Slayton

Ronnie Brown sat on many peoples bench when he scored 5 TDs. Now everybody is rushing to start him, and he will let many people down this week. San Diego is going to put points on the board fast this week. And the Dolphins will have to abandon the run game and play catch-up. San Diego is #13 in the league agains the run. Play the matchup.

i agree 100% with PuRock. i am one of those players that sat ronnie brown when he scored all those TDs. however...i'm not rushing to start him.

the fact is, indy is horrible against the run without bob sanders. slaton is now getting the load. i say start him and forte, and put brown in a flex spot if you have one.

also, brown is still sharing the load with ricky williams. they're going to rotate the two in and out. a big part of the reason brown had so much success a few weeks ago was because the pats didn't gameplan against him. now, the league sees that brown is healthy again, and they'll be planning on that. while i think he can put up solid numbers against a SD defense that has given up a TON of points this year, i just think the slaton/forte option is slightly better.

again, i'm in the same boat. here are my RBs

Westbrook
Lynch
Brown
Jonathan Stewart

westbrook may or may not play (i think he will based on his practicing this week) and he has done very well over the years against the skins

lynch is playing an arizona team that is poor against the run, and is giving up oodles of points

and stewart is playing KC, who is also pretty horrible against the run.

lucky for me.....i have the flex option in my league :)

M. Forte RB - 36 RuYd, RuTD (1), 25 ReYd, ReTD (9), 4 Recpt - 21 FFP
S. Slaton RB - 93 RuYd, 2 RuTD (1,1), 3 ReYd, Recpt - 22 FFP
R. Brown RB - 125 RuYd, RuTD (5), 8 ReYd, Recpt - 19 FFB

In my standard scoring league, my prediction barely eked out. If it is a touchdown league, Slayton was the man.

ah, lucky for me. i started lynch and westbrook. neither had great games, but still got double digit points from westbrook. however....i chose ronnie brown for the flex spot and scored big. phew!
