Not Getting Too Much Respect On Bengal Forums

98 posts in this topic

Go check out the enemy's forums, one person even went as far to say that the Bengals are a better, more complete team than us. After our 3 horrible losses it makes our lack of respect somewhat deserved, but some people over there think they are going to steamroll us. I really hope we make a statement by blowing them out; Flacco needs to finally have a good game against their D and put their fans back in their place.

The one thing that really made me angry was one of their members saying our offense is completely horrible and that he believes Dalton will throw 4 TDs. The funny thing is our offensive is statistically better than theres in every category except for rushing.

Oh yea, on a side note completely unrelated, ESPN was trying to stir up the whole Sanchez vs Flacco debate. This one always makes me sick, Sanchez is laughable and I would hope no one in their right minds would prefer him over Flacco.

Believe me, I live in ny and jets fans hate sancheese way more than baltimore fans hate flacco...Plus if you think about it, sancheese just stinks and flacco gets too much criticism because of bad offensive schemes due to cam.

They can say whatever they want on their board, they can come on our board and say whatever, and we can say whatever we want about the Bengals but who really cares, unless somehow all their members and all of our members are suiting up on Sunday for 60 minutes of Football than who really cares.

It's time for them to get their second straight wake up call.

They're the Cincinnati Bengals. If you just chuckled, as much as you WANT to make a lucid, well-thought-out argument about how well they've been playing this year, you know what I mean.

Flacco is pretty laughable after that wonderful performance in Seattle

Can you blame them, I mean seriously? The part about Dalton throwing for 4 TDs is very unlikely but the thing about them not respecting our team feeling that we are overrated, I can't blame them.

I can blame them. They should look at our performances against teams with a winning record.

Can't put that one on Flacco, he lost 2 possessions that could have amounted to points. And I think he would have led another late game TD drive if he had gotten the chance. Sanchez most likely does not lead that 92 yd drive against Pittsburgh in their stadium--highly doubtful.

Perhaps. But I'm a little more sensitive to Bengal trash talk since I live among them and have to hear this crap every week.

We don't deserve any praise, and we won't until we prove we can play at a high level week in and week out both at home and on the road. If we want praise, which I don't understand the need for it, then we need to earn it. Let's start by beating CIN and SF back to back.

I guess it is hard for them not to have a little confidence after our debacle in Jacksonville and Seattle. They must figure, since we have a hard time beating scrub teams, they have a chance.

Seriously though, they are an up and coming team. Because of that and us playing this game at the bank, we will beat them. That is the way we roll this year. The only games we lost were following emotional wins, away games to scrub teams. The only game we have left that fits that criteria is the Browns in Cleveland. We will be following an emotional game ( John's brother Jim on Thanksgiving, I am assuming we win this one) and then playing a less than stellar team at their house. We lose that one. Other than that, if we live up to our pattern we finish 12 and 4. Hopefully the Steelers lose one more.

If the shoe was on the other foot, you would be saying the same thing so c'mon man! Its very reasonable for them as well as any other team in the league to feel the same way about us. Even some of our fans feel this way so....

Every football fan is soft and has an inferiority complex when it comes to their team. It's just the nature of fanhood.

That's not to say that, to be a fan, you have to be soft and cry whenever someone badmouths your team. But getting defensive about your team comes with the territory.

exactly!!

and to be honest...they should be talking smack on their forums! our boys haven't done anything to prove that teams should "fear" them. they are up and down up and down up and down. who'd be afraid of that pattern? smh! hopefully our pattern of winning at home rings true on Sunday.

We may lose to the worst teams, but at least we still beat the best teams. That's what counts.

Last year the Packers lost to Washington, Miami, and Detroit
The year before that, New Orleans lost to Tampa Bay and Carolina...

I agree, i checked the forums myself. Funny thing is, they are acting like they are the second coming. Also the weird thing is, its like they didnt mind losing to the STEALERS which Blows my mind. They call their QB the RED ROCKET, does anyone else think thats kinda funny and pretty dam stupid on their part. LOLOL

No reason to disrespect the Bengals, I'm actually impressed with them. They have had a lot of high picks recently, and they've made good draft choices. When Palmer wouldn't play, Mike Brown held onto him and drafted a good young QB. He didn't trade him away early, and an amazing trade offer fell into his lap. Dalton is good, if you've watched him play you know that he has poise and is growing in confidence. Everything has worked out well for the Bengals, a fortunate turn for a franchise that hasn't been very fortunate.

All of that being said, we've been at our worst on the road. So I'm hoping that we get the good Ravens for this one, and get back on track with a home win. We just let Tarvaris Jackson operate effectively against us, and I know that Dalton can play at least that well.

That's a comforting stat. We all know on top form this team is capable of winning the SB
