How is this game? I'm thinking about getting it.
It's either this or turtle beaches.

It's fantastic. Everyone who was on the fence about this game, has been successfully talked into buying it and no one has regretted it.

No matter your taste in games, there will be something about this game that will draw you in. You don't even have to like fantasy genre games to appreciate how awesome this game is.

There is so much to do in this game. I'm still chillin in Whiterun, but I'm not sure whether I should pick up the main storyline again or continue with the Companions quests. My character specializes in conjuration so it's probably a little strange that I ended up a part of this group. Their... abilities are intriguing to say the least.

The only thing I hate about having two companions is that they like to box me into corners whenever we're in tight corners. Luckily, I can just jump over the dog.

My funniest memory from the game was the two giants by the giant bonfire, they sure gave me a shock, from a distance they looked like cavemen so I figured an arrow or two would take em down. I started getting worried when they werent dying and the ground started shaking under each step, next thing I'm running for my life before being pummelled something like 80ft into the air.
Ha I did the same thing except without the arrow.. I was lost and ticked cause I just went in a big circle.. So I came up to the giant yet again, but this time I said screw it and swung at him.. It didn't phase him and I went 5o feet in the air..

Completely true. I just got it a week ago .. Only get to play a little at a time (bout 1 1/2 hours) so far.. Love the game so far I just get lost easy.. I'm not used to huge free roaming games... I'm lost now trying to find the dragon thing in the cave for the wizard to learn about the dragons

Bleak Falls Barrow is near Riverwood, the place where your rescuer first leaves you.

Been playing this game as much as I could in the past couple of days (Xmas + family skiing vacation) and I'm already amazed. My dude's only level 7 and I've only done a few quests but I love it already.

You should try to buy the spell "Clairvoyance". It shows you the path to whatever you current objective is. I rarely use it now that I've explored a lot and can pretty much fast travel anywhere I need to go, but when I was first starting out it came in really handy.

I'm getting pretty surgical with the bow now, theres nothing better than hitting multiple targets in the temple as the run across the screen

Like Jim said, Clairvoyance is very useful for directing you. You can buy it in Whiterun from the wizard in Dragonreach or you can find it [possible spoilers]
in the bandit camp south of Riverwood. In order for it to be useful you have to open your quest menu and select only one quest that you want to find then cast the spell and it will lead you.

You get a ring with a smithing enchantment at the end of the "Forsworn Conspiracy" quest. On the same quest there's a safe you can loot that has gauntlets of smithing.

Thanks for the tip.. I'll prolly need it soon.. Actually found out my problem.. I was in the golden claw part and didn't read the writing on the wall at the end of the tunnel.. I just kept on going out back to skyrim..
Point blank yes!!
I've never played any games even remotely close to Skyrim.. I don't even play video games at all that much and I love this game..

The detail in this game is insane. I can't explain it as well as others on here can cause I haven't played it that much yet but yes the game lives up to all the hype easily

Anyone else use the Wabbajack yet? I turned a wolf into a rabbit, interesting weapon to say the least.

I don't believe there's a way to do that. Once they're dead, they're gone. I gave up on the helper a while ago. Kept getting knocked down in battle after 1 or 2 hits.

I hate how when you kill all the witnesses in a building or quiet area the guards still come after you and know everything you did, and stolen items cant be re-sold.

There are certain "vendors" that will buy stolen items. I believe there's one in the thieves guild that does.
I was changing the ledger at a tavern, out of nowhere a guard shows up to arrest me. Guess this guy has x-ray vision because there certainly wasn't anyone around to see it.

enchant all the equipment you can with the smithing enchantment using a grand soul gem on each. then drink a smithing potion. create the weapon, then improve it. One hit wonder!
