When you leave Markarth, cross the bridge and walk up the mountain to the left and you will fight a dragon. I beat him last night with almost no struggle

Thank you. I struggled pretty badly on my first dragon, which is why I ask.

What level were you -- if I may ask?

And do you know anything about that bag issue that I am experiencing?

i was level 15, as long as Lydia is with you, she will bear the brunt of his attack while you sneak in from the side or behind and beat him to death.

I know nothing of your bag issue. I did hit a glitch in a quest that I couldnt finish, so i left the quest

I killed a dragon with one blast of fire breath earlier. Not sure if it was some sort of glitch or not but it's never been that easy before!

Just nuts what happened last night. I got attacked by a dragon as I was walking g towards a giants shanty. In the middle of the fight I saw a giant walking around. I'm thinking oh hell, he's coming for me. He ends up killing the dragon for me with one hit!!!

Just bought this game last night, one word, AMAZING. it blows my mind. Im not even a big RPG player, i play more sports/shooters than anything. I played a little Fallout 3 and beat Fallout: New Vegas. Skyrim is on a whole other level though.

Im a level 7, and just got past the frost troll and I'm learning shouts from the Greybeards in High Hrothgar.

Lol I'm level 21 and haven't even went to see the Greybeards. Too many sidequests to go forward

I'm level 39 and have played for over 60 hours now. But I still feel like I've barely scratched the surface! I've still got 40+ quests in my journal and haven't explored all areas of the map yet.

I'm level 19 and just obtained my first shout. That's what I get for joining the Companions and the Thieves Guild first.

Also, I can't stop murdering shop-keepers in Whiterun and then looting their possessions.

You fiend!!! Where the heck did you find the thieves guild? I have yet to join the Companions yet. Guess thats my next step. Im at level 78 on Smithing and I found a good way to build restoration as well. I get bored with waiting to get it done though

BTW arent you acquiring a nice sized bounty on your head with killing shop keepers?? Or are you pulling the thane card lol

Usually, three guards enter the shop after I kill the owner. Once I kill them, it says the last witness has died and the bounty has been removed.

I ended up in Riften after stealing an uncommon gem from the Jarl's quarters.

I'm wondering that myself. I've killed shopkeepers before, just because I was in a murdering mood, but I always reloaded the save afterward because I didn't want to lose the shop.

well I was on my way to do a stupid side quest and stumbled on a shout at the top of a mountain and out of this coffin pops Volsung. He is a dragon preist. Somehow he went too far down the mountain and couldnt get back up. I just bow and arrowed him until he met his demise. I received a niceeee helmet called the Volsung Mask. 20% better prices in stores, can carry 20lbs more and can breathe underwater!

There's 8 of those Dragon Priest masks to find! Find them all and you can 'trade' from in for the 9th mask called Konahrik. I just have the one so far too called Rahgot, it increases your stamina by 70 points!

So far the only things still in the shop (because I took the rest) are the corpses of the former shop owner and guards.

I've heard of people killing shop owners and stealing everything in the store only to have thugs show up later that were hired by the deceased shop keeper.

Jeez, i feel like maybe im going through it all too quick. Im only a level 12, but im farther than that. maybe i should've done more side quests? :/

Right now, I carry two greatswords. A silver greatsword for fighting the undead and a Dwarven greatsword of arcing. The shock damage is nice as it can briefly incapacitate an enemy.

Nope! This one's actual set before Oblivion. They all stand on their own, the first one I picked up was Oblivion (4th in the series) and jumped right in. CAN'T WAIT until I get my hands on this game

As berad said, no need to play any of the others. I've actually played the 3rd one, Morrowind. Never played either of the first 2. This series has come a long way.....

Yeah you definitely should have. I face giants head on now with no issues. I'm at level 31. Just exploring. That's the name of the game. I'm out walking around, I see something, I get curious, I wanna investigate, and so on. Don't waste time on the storyline, it will be there. Go explore and get stronger!!!
