I didn't know anything about this until you mentioned it. Funnily enough I'm now at the 23 hour mark and as a dragon attacked me the whole game started to lag! I couldn't even kill him even though his life was empty. I left the area and things went back to normal so hopefully it doesn't happen again.

I've also had 2 complete system crashes playing this game which hasn't happened very often since I've had a PS3.

Yeah. It sort of makes not looking forward to go on with the game. Some people say that it's a possibility that it can never be fixed due to the PS3's memory pool. If so, that's a huge disappointment and a huge fail on Bethesda's part.

Apparently, I'm reading this might be an issue with the 360, too, though not nearly as rampant.

I've noticed that Bethesda and BioWare both have had issues with this in previous games. Perhaps open-world games are getting to be too big for consoles?

Could Gamesharks getting phased out have anything to do with more complex coding?
i remember having to input long streams of code just to have unlimited ammo. I could only imagine the things we could do now.

Coding will never really be a problem since computers do much of the legwork. Heck, if there were a modern Game Shark, we could probably just copy-and-paste codes onto a USB drive. The real issue is with exploits that could be used online. The secondary issue is the potential hit to profits for publishers who use DLC to cash in on "Unlock All" codes for people (like myself) who don't have the time to complete games to unlock everything.

Perhaps, but I feel that this was just poor testing involved also. Bethesda has always had problems with their games at launch and shortly after but no where near on this degree.

I've been looking through my save files for this game and mine is also getting increasingly larger. I haven't reached the points where people have said there could possibly be problems but knowing that it could happen is not very encouraging.

save file corrupted :( 7 hours down the drain

restarted the game one hour in and im already at level 8 :) found yet another glitch and Im riding it into the ground!

I also found a vampire cave in the begining by accident. they are mega strong and hard. i keep saving before every confrontation in hopes of making it to the end and not contracting the vampire disease

That makes sense. I just want achievos. All of them. But time is not on my side with Arkham City, MW3, and Skyrim all stealing my soul. I'm getting tag teamed... hard.

Arkham City, MW3, Skyrim, WWE 12, and Saints Row 3 for me. And I haven't even gotten around to NHL 12, Gears of War 3, or the Ico Collection yet...

My days now consist of sleep, video games for an hour, work, social life for only an hour or two, video games, then sleep again, all in that order. It's a wonder how I get anything done.

When a game's as big as Skyrim there's bound to be glitches, lots and lots of glitches.

So while looking for some Redguard woman in Whiterun, I somehow ended up in a drinking competition at the Bannered Mare. I wake up in a temple in Markarth and as soon as I leave the temple, witness a murder. The murderer is quickly dispatched by the guards, so I start asking the townspeople about it. I then find some cleric who asks me to enter this abandoned house with him. I'll just say that the quest isn't called "House of Horrors" for nothing.

Her Name is Saddia. I just have to say, for this quest, you better be strong and ready to take on 7 people at once in a very closed in area

Yeah man! My fiance has even embraced me playing and just lets me go and explore :) I have been just leveling up for the quest Jon was going on to find the Redguard woman. I know the end result so I am just trying to be as strong as I can before taking on the Aik'R warriors to finish the quest

Yes, their concern isn't that she is a Redguard. However, You dont have to fight them. you can turn her over to the Aik'R and have no worries. I have been grinding out side quests to get stronger. I think I am at a high enough level to destroy the Warriors. I was level 7 in my corrupted file and couldn't beat them. Im level 16 right now. I think they shall fall easily!!!!

Can you play in 3rd person?
[/quote]

Yeah there's an option for that, like other Elder Scrolls / Fallout games. Third person is a little clunky, in my opinion.

*I'm just going off Oblivion and Fallout 3, I haven't gotten my hands on Skyrim yet.

I am level 18 currently and wondering if I should do the drinking challenge? I read this pretty much sends you into another dragon fight. Am I high enough to beat it?

Also, I currently have this quest where you steal some documents from a bag -- however, I have emptied the bag to it's fullest and yet the quest still points the arrow to the bag and telling me I need to do it. Glitch? Anyone else have this problem? If so, any advice?

Thanks flock members!
