but this guy gets no playing time whatsoever.. instead we activate reed every week and he does nothing but fumble every chance he gets.

Good point. Someone else has to be able to return whos already active. Let Doss get some PT. He finally has input on a WR and they don't let em work together.

Reed and LaQuan out. Evans and Doss in.
I'm ok with LaQuan playing. He had one drop yesterday but that would have been a remarkable catch if he would have
pulled it in.

The inactive status of Doss is a mystery every week. He looked pretty good in pre-season. Maybe it's something in practice that we're not seeing or hearing about.

Using vonte leach every week as a catcher and rice having less than 5carries is also a mystery. Chris Carr behind Jimmy Smith(and before that domonique crapworth) is also a mystery to me. But hey..no one ever said harbaugh knows anything about evaluating players well.

I was confused too, because he seemed to earn his time in the pre-season, and made it pay off. Then, the season started and he just disappeared.

I'd deactivate Reed, add Doss. And when Evans' comes back, I'd deactivate LaQuan (love the kid though), and keep him healthy in case of injury to Evans again.

Absolutely need his sure hands across the middle.. If we go spread he's a big target just like Dickson is across the middle. Just another possibility of a mismatch with a lesser CB/Safety/LB. And for what cost? To deactivate Reed? Hell, I'll take that any day.

Ugh.. more Doss talk again. This isn't the solution to our offense guys.

3rd / 4th receivers make all the difference! Why did we trade away Mark Clayton?!

That's why we have Dickson and Pitta. Laquon hasn't been bad either and the coaches don't seem to think Doss is ready otherwise they would have started him over an undrafted Free agent.

There's bigger fish to fry on this offense.

Flacco doesn't have any wiggle room of his own to ask for players as bad as his play has been this year. Overthrow, underthrow leads to inconsistency.

I was joking. In actuality, the 3rd/4th WRs wouldn't see much time because we love to use Dickson, Pitta, and Rice in passing formations - for good reason, too. I love LaQuan Williams and he's made a few plays for the team.

I think run-blocking (again) is the biggest thing holding back this team.

We got Tyrod Taylor for him, essentially. Clayton wasn't a bad player just super streaky, we're better off now.

Whew, thank god.
Yeah I agree. We have enough weapons to make the 3rd/4rd true WR's a mostly non-factor. And who would've thought that the run-blocking would be the biggest problem on this offense at the beginning of the season. I don't understand this team...

Yeah, from whooping the Steelers to not being able to run on the bottom-feeders of the league. There are some limitations to this zone-blocking/running scheme plus we're new at it.

Doss isn't playing because he isn't ready and doesn't provide enough to the table to be a 4th receiver. Said it a million times. Same reason Kindle isn't playing just at linebacker.

Doss is going to leave Baltimore with no career interceptions, we're like a black hole for WR's.
I see what you did there.

Having good hands doesn't make you an NFL ready receiver

What has David Reed done as a WR?

I think its because Flacco liked him that Cam has secretly benched this kid for undisclosed reasons... I mean Cam constantly talks about Flacco having control over the offense and audibles ( when it's painfully obvious that he doesn't, i mean even in hurry up situations Cam is talking in there Ears so Much he confuses them until the Play Clock runs down to 4 seconds and we waste a time-out.....

Flacco having input on one of the Teams draft picks probably burned Cam the wrong the way, because it's so strange to read all the training camp reports of Doss' soft hands plucking balls out of the air all day, every day, he looked nice in preseason but he isn't even worth 1 crossing pattern or 1 punt or kick return through 10 weeks of NFL Football..

Wow

LOL, I'm more than certain if he ever gets a chance he will throw an option pass and run an end-around...

Because this coaching staff has done so much to inspire confidence. I have always thought Cam inept and the longer Harbaugh acts like he isnt the problem the more frustrated people are going to get with him. Not to mention for a ST coach ours sure is in the toilet.

I still have faith in Reed. He's our best kick returner. Yesterday was just an anomaly, like our season so far. Doss should still get a chance though as a WR
