RAVENS PASS RUSH AND BLITZING PACKAGES HAVE GONE MISSING

IF FOUND PLEASE CONTACT CHUCK PAGANO

Ok, kidding aside what is goin on? I see Ngata getting double teamed so he has that but I don't see any stunts, barely any blitzes, nothing effective off the edge. And against Tavaris Jackson and that putrid Seahawk offense? you kidding me? You gonna let him beat you through the air? I think not. Marshawn Lynch who earned the nickname Marshawn "Inch" coming out of Buffalo? Get after the QB!

Ravens pressure is our bread and butter. They respect US not the other way around.

If Jackson or any QB wants to run, fine we get to smash him into the turf.

This is the same type of game plan that got us beat in Tenn. I think they were respecting Jackson's running ability.
It was almost exactly like watching the Tenn game. Really sickening, no pass rush, all day to throw and converting 3rd and longs like we werent on the field. The one thing the D did great at was not allowing TD's but man if they couldn't get off the field to give our O good field position.

I've been perplexed about this, I haven't seen consistent QB pressure since... the Jacksonville game? (Maybe Arizona, I can't remember.) And there wasn't that much.

How many times did we sack T. Jack? I only recall the one by Kruger
That was all. Just the one. We did get several hands on him but couldn't bring him down.

Haven't heard McPhee's name in awhile.... Ngata's play isn't at the level it was earlier in the season. I'm starting to think his injury is affecting him more than he is letting on

Ngata has been all but invisible since signing his big deal.... coincidence? Who knows, but I'm not happy about it.

Suggs has only shown up in a handful of games and couldn't generate any pass rush against a terrible O-Line

Ray Ray is great, but he's looking his age at times, and did so yesterday

Ed Reed is another guy who's done nothing since Week 1... sure his tackling has improved, but he's late all the time and his play-making ability just isn't there.

Two weeks in a row that the Ravens defense in the 4th quarter had chances to close the game out in Pittsburgh when they had the 10 point lead and then get a stop on Seattle and get the ball back for Flacco and the offense and they have failed to do so both times...

If you go back and watch the game again I'm sure you'd see that you're mistaken. Ngata hasn't made many big plays recently, but neither has Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, or Suggs (besides the interception). Ngata gets good pressure when he's not being double teamed and is still a monster against the run.

The truth is that our front 4 did a very good job of getting pressure, but when you don't blitz you tire them out and extend the plays, neutralizing the rush if you're not getting off the field. I think Pagano is at fault here, not the personnel. The game plan looks nothing like it did against the Steelers week 1 or against the Jets. Also, how could you possibly call out McPhee? I think he's been phenomenal and he was getting great pressure this week but it didn't materialize into sacks.

Your probably right. I didn't get to watch a lot of this game because I was working. So I'll take your word for Ngata.

McPhee has been doing a great job. And your probably right, I should definitely call out more than just one person. Suggs has only gotten 3 sacks since week 2. It's more of a group effort. But we have a ton of sacks this year, and the defense has definitely not been the weak point in this team. But we lost the turnover battle this week. A lot of it isn't the defenses fault but for the entire season our defense has forced 18 turnovers. Which is great, but 7 of them were in one game. Maybe that falls back on the cb's because the front 7 is getting good pressure, but if your not getting turnovers then that will cause problems.

It seems so obviously out of character that I have to wonder if injuries have limited what they can do. How do you NOT rush Seattle all day with that joke of an O-Line?!?! There has to be SOMETHING we don't know about...
