Flacco had 52 attempts. Rice had 5 attempts. Because of this, your point doesn't hold much ground. the defense has to do better, but it's not their fault the QB had 10x as many attempts as the RB.

wow. The number of passes completely outweighs the runs.
Yup ... 53 passing to 12 rushing plays (4:1 ratio). What bothered me the most? Not sure which stat. Either the fact that the passing averaged us 4.7 yards/attempt while rushing was 6.3 yards/carry and yet we refused to run. Or the fact that we essentially abandoned the run after our first series when the rushing was averaging 9 yards/carry.

And to clarify the lists above, I kept Rice's 4 yard run in the 2nd possession that was called back because of a penalty just to show where they tried to run it. I also didn't credit Flacco with a run in the 10th possession because it wasn't a designed run play. But if anyone wants, just move the 0 runs to 2nd possession and 1 run to 10th.

I don't see how anyone could say the D "owns this loss". Everyone contributed, with huge contributions from David Reed.

But, after all of the dust settled we still had a good chance to win. The D flat out failed on the last drive. No excuse for it.
Read the post where Suggs and Haloti are quoted saying the same.

The D always takes responsibility. Remember what they said after the loss to the Jags? I think it was Ed Reed or Suggs who said after that game, 'Hey . bottom line is we just gave up too many FGs .. that's all ... we should have done more to stop them.' 1 FG per quarter, offense couldn't score until the 4th quarter and looked hopeless, but the D took it on themselves. That's nothing new.

I think Harbs and Cam are seriously confused: pass or run...arggg lets coin toss.....

Our defense looks so vulnerable lately and passive. We rushed 4 and our 4 guys were standing there and let rookie QB have all day to throw....WHAT'S GOING ON WITH OUR AGGRESSIVENESS DEFENSIVELY???

Offensively, Cam again is clueless to use his players to fullest potential and not even half of it.....

Oh this one is definitely new, or at least rare. The Ravens D has a great deal of pride(as well they should!)and is extremely embarrassed about allowing a 6 minute drive when the game was on the line. They failed yesterday at what they do best, executing when it matters most. "Bend, but don"t break" got broken on the last drive.

Welp ... nevermind on the whole run/pass balance thing. From what is being reported about what Harbaugh said, he doesn't see a problem with the play calling yesterday, so I guess this is what we do now.

"I didn't see a lot more opportunities to run the ball. ... That's the way the game went." - John Harbaugh

I want to argue the point that 2nd and 3, 3rd and 3, 2nd and 2 .. those are probably good opportunities, but why bother?

No no .. I meant the D taking responsibility for the loss when the offense falters. I know they are 100% pissed off and embarrassed at how that game ended. They got pushed around for the final 6 minutes. They absolutely failed to execute in that last drive, but if I am going to pick one of the 3 units that caused that loss yesterday, the D is going to come in a distant 3rd.

an interviewer mentioned to Suggs that; "Lynch has another big game..." and before he could finish that statement, Suggs interrupted and said; "How many attempts did he get?" the interviewer responded with, "he had over 20..." Suggs again interrupted and said; "How much? Oh..he had 30 attempts? Well, you give a guy the ball enough and inch it out, you definitely gonna get there somehow."

Suggs was outspoken before after that Jaguars game about Rice not getting enough touches. this may have been a subtle shot at Cam perhaps? your thoughts?

This is more than a shot at Cam. Didn't John say he would be involved in the game plan and game offensive activity. Seems the wo of them are running scared. Afraid to lose is a sure way to lose. It is not Joe. Joe cannot call his own plays. Comments from McLain and McGhee this year state Joe has only one play sent in and only one checkoff (Rice) on each play. Hurry up??? Cam cannot make a decision that quck. Joe Waits and Waits and Waits and... If John is involved where is he? If John is involved he is to blame as well.
Raven MUST win out or be alternates (AT BEST?????)
