Rice has been getting caught from behind, falling on his face and missing blocks..... if he wants to be paid big money he needs to play better in all facets of the game. Hes been a liability in pass pro.

You think he would be playing for his contract...
You act like its his fault.

Our new zone-stretch team isn't as effective vs 4-3's.

Cam, however, instead of adjusting....just abandons the run completely every time we play one. Watch for an pass-tastic game vs Cincy next team too.

On the flipside, Leon Hall is out for the season. If we win next week we will be first in the North...

We were down by 2 tds, in the 4th quarter... you can't exactly run.run.run....
We should have run a bit more in the first half, especially after those end-arounds to try and spread their line (assuming that's what Cam was trying...and that he wasn't simply remembering his favorite play all of a sudden).

His 5 carries went for 27 yards. That's 5.4 ypc. That's good.

Hahahahaha. Stop.

If we don't let Cam Cameron go...... Cam Cameron will cost us Ray Rice in Free Agency. I'm sure Rice will go to a team that will utilize him and give him the ball more than 5 times. I guarantee Rice knows he'll be Franchised next year so you know he has to be thinking of leaving if we keep Cam and Cam continues to not give him the ball more than 5 times.

5 touches....you could tell from the outset what our game plan was from the get. I'm sorry but IMO Cam's game plan was were going to pass just like we did against the Rams. He left the run game well before the half and I'm sorry of course RR YPC are going down, heck we have gotten away from what sets this team up to pass, and that's a run game.

He should have gotten more carries but to think we win if Rice gets 20 carries? Just because you don't try something doesn't mean it would have guaranteed a victory.

I was coming into this thread to say that, but you beat me to it. If Cam doesn't go, Rice will. Running the ball with one of our best weapons (if not the best) should be key to this offense. 5 times?!? that blows my mind.

no not necessarily but if u tell me we are gonna get RR the ball 20 carries in a game.. then i'd almost bet money that he breaks one or two for a big gain.. and you know what any kind of running game can do for a passing game.

I'll take RR rushing 20 times over flacco throwing 50 plus times anyday

Well, I don't think we're going to win many games this year with the run game... have you seen it?

This. You can't give up on the run. Today, we didn't run it enough to even give up on it, SMH.

That's another thing, too. Maybe Cam would've stuck with the running game if they had shown any semblance of production or effectiveness.
I agree to some extent. However, you cannot just abandon the run game and let the opposing team make you one dimensional. Can you honestly say that you think we gave the run game a real chance with Rice getting only 5 carries? It is the OC's job to adjust and be creative. Perhaps we run to another side. Perhaps we bring in Rice and Williams ( you know, a decoy maybe???). I don't know because we didn't try anything. In the end, they hung Flacco out to dry because it is really, really hard to be successful with the air attack if the opposing defense doesn't even have to think about the run.

I agree with him. Plus it's much better to not say anything then to say something and regret it (which is possible).

This is exactly what has me completely lost as to what was going on. It's one thing to not establish the run and having to abandon it, but they established the run and they did it early. Rice was averaging 5.4 yards/carry even after they stopped feeding him the ball. 5.4 yards ?!! The Seahawks were not moving the ball all over the field. The only way they scored most of those points was because of the field position we gave them (on 3 of those they started the drives inside the red zone). There was no need to swing out to 52 passes and 12 runs; especially with how Joe was throwing today. It was torture to watch it .. complete torture. Receivers WIDE open and Joe not seeing them ... receivers wide open and Joe not hitting them; not even coming close.

Sitting there, it was just ... wow.

I'm with you man, our run game is pathetic. Our backs should be averaging AT LEAST 5.0 YPC running behind Leach. We're one of the lowest teams in the league in YPC and you're not going to win running the ball like that. And it can't be on the offensive line, at least if they're running to the right. Oher and Yanda are both pretty good run blockers, and the line as a whole can get it done. The only thing that might be wrong is the blocking scheme. Are we still employing that zone blocking foolishness with our line?

I'd love for the Ravens to be a pass first team, that's what you need to be to win in this league, and I think Flacco has the talent to do it. But anyone throwing the ball 50 times a game is going to have some problems. I don't think it cost us the game today, but the run/pass split should be around 40%/60%, give or take.

Our run game doesn't look great, but you're forgetting that rice has broken at least 2 huge TD runs that have been brought back by questionable holding calls. One of these was last week vs the steelers on the torrey smith hold. When we do run the ball 15+ times, Flacco is able to actually use some play action and it opens up our whole offense.

Cam wants Joe to be Tom Brady. He isnt. Im sorry - he is a play action QB. We have been winning games since 08' with this formula:

Run the ball, playaction off of running the ball. Defense. Soild special teams.

As much as I want a Pat's offense, or GB offense, its not going to happen, not here, not now.

They can do it.. but its not pretty. Joe cannot accurately put the ball into the chests of his WR in stride.. consistantly. Our WR are young, our TE's are ballin' even though they are learning still too.. we are NOT the greatest show on turf 2.0 (Side Note- and Alanta Falcons are figuring out THEY ARENT either. )
