Well, Next Week Is Cincy.

I was really impressed with Dalton. He should be ROY over Cam Newton. Dalton to AJ Green is quite a scary combo. Dalton makes his mistakes for sure but he seems to bounce back and make plays also. Benson is a hard runner. A bruiser for sure. He may not break one but he will beat you all game, sound familiar?

I am wondering what is going on with our pass rush lately. We do not seem to be blitzing like we were earlier and we are not getting good pressure. We didn't do much against Pitt and again yesterday. I don't know where the blitzes went.

The Bengals play tough and have been in every game so this is going to be a nail biter especially with our propensity to shoot ourselves in the foot.

If David Reed stays off the field and we actually run the ball with Rice we have a chance... but Joe has yet to figure out the Bengals so I don't know what to expect anymore.

This is one part of the formula for a Ravens loss. In each of the games we've lost this year there is

1) Inexplicable turnovers
2) early dismissal of the rushing game
3) almost exclusively base defense

The third one is just as mind boggling as the first two. Did Pagano not think our DB's could match up with Mike Williams and Doug Baldwin? Jackson had all day to throw and our D looked like a read and react type 3-4 rather than the type that blitzes both run and pass and forces QB's to self destruct.

They need to watch the first game of the year and remind themselves of who they are. The Ravens are a physically punishing team who will run the ball down your throat, throw the deep ball over the top, stuff the opponents running game, make them one dimensional and then batter your QB all day when he decides not to hand off.

They need to return to and embrace that identity asap.

Yea this is what I was thinking exactly. I know the Bengals actually have a winning record, so obviously we're going to win the game but right now I'm still so mad at the team that I almost don't care how they play next week.

We'll win. Its the Colts and Browns coming up that Im worried about....

sad but very true. Remember the year Miami went 1 -15 and we were the 1 win they had? This is why I am worried about the Colts.

Oh man.....that game made me sick, literally sick to my stomach. We were the one win they had all year!! It still makes me more mad than even the loss to the Seahawks yesterday. UGH!

They have a tremendous defense, one of the top teams in the league against the run. It's going to be a rough game, these guys should not be under-estimated.

Im going to the bengals game on sunday and I want to see up close how this team responds to a horrible lost like this. I expect rice to get the rock alot in this game and the defense to be all over dalton and they cannot let him get comfortable. We need to make dalton feel like sanchez when we faced them on sunday night.

I think the Ravens will bounce back and win against the Bengals but it will not be an easy game by any stretch for the Ravens to win...The Ravens cannot afford another loss here at all anytime soon seeing that the Steelers schedule the next 3 weeks is games at Kansas City and back to back weeks at home against the Bengals and the Browns. The Steelers also have their bye week this week and they will get guys healthy and back after the bye such as Woodley and Sanders.

I've seen every Ravens game and Bengals game this year. If Travaris Jackson and Blaine Gabbert (yea Gabbert didn't really beat us) can win against us, then there is no reason to believe that Dalton is not capable. AJ Green gives him the ability to throw the ball up for grabs regardless of the coverage, just watch their TD vs the Steelers. If we shoot ourselves in the foot again, the Bengals are a better team offensively and defensively then the Seahawks, we most likely will not be able to recover.

Like I said in another thread, the comforting notion here is that we are at home--this year we have been unbeatable and I hope that trend remains. If we can pick up big wins vs Cincy and San Fran then I will once again become confident about this team going forward. Honestly, is this team really going to lose to another below 500 team, god I hope not.

Turnovers. Pressure on the qb. The games we lose or get down early, we are on the wrong side of both of those two. We need to maybe throw Kindle in the mix or something to get some pressure on Dalton. And there is no excuses to fumble twice in one game....

Nope but they can definitely lose games at San Diego who will absolutely be in MUST win mode when they play the Ravens in mid December, and they can also lose the season finale at Cincinnati who I believe will still be fighting for a wildcard playoff spot at that time. The Steelers do have to play the Bengals again but the game is in Pittsburgh, and the only other tough game they have after that is at San Francisco on Monday night in December. The Steelers still get the Browns twice who are pathetic, the Rams at home, and at Kansas City after the bye week who is slowly starting to collapse seeing that they lost the last 2 weeks at home to a then winless Miami team and a Broncos team as well who isnt very good...The Ravens have a much tougher road then the Steelers to close the season out...

Yea I agree, all the more reason for us to be upset about the pathetic display on Sunday. It was almost comical watching it happen yet again...for a third time. Right now Pittsburgh is exemplifying the reasons of why they consistently win the division, they win games they are supposed to win and they don't let emotional games against the Ravens corrupt their focus going forward. So disgusted with this team right now, every year its something else.
That's the difference so far this year with the Ravens and the Steelers despite the Ravens sweeping the Steelers. The Steelers have played 5 games against 5 teams they should have beat and did in the Seahawks,Colts,Titans,Jags, and Cards. The Ravens so far have lost to 3 of those teams and the still have to play the Colts. You could see a letdown coming last week with just the way Harbaugh and whole Ravens team reacted after they beat the Steelers. They shot their load for an entire week and had nothing left for a team like Seattle who was good enough to beat the Ravens yesterday...

Bengals 21

Ravens 14

I can't believe the way our team is playing. I will predict that we lose the rest of our games so I am not so pissed when we do lose.

As they did in the first week...There is always a game or two that comes back on a team at season's end. It is inexcusable to lose to the Jax and Seattles of the league.

We've won 11 straight games following a loss... so at least we have that going for us.
I believe the Ravens will bounce back as well and beat the Bengals in a hard fought close game. I still think this division and who will get homefield in the playoffs and a bye week will come down to the final week of the season...

It is hard to say if we win or lose anymore. Which team will show up ? Right now i think we lose, yes even at home. Once the Seattle game gets out of my system i will be more optimistic and think Rice will have a HUGE day and we win. Give Joe no deep routes, quick, over the middle and drop offs and that should limit the INT's and dropped passes. Keep D. Reed away from the ball period, don't even let him in the park to suit up.

The focus in practice this week should be special teams! We all know field position is half the battle. They should put billy to kick nothing but fifty+ yarders, they should have Flacco and torrey practice nothing but deep balls, and they should have the whole team team practice tackling drills!

Hahahaha. I don't think Cundiff is ever gonna get better at kicking fifty yarders and Coach already knew that..he was just being boneheaded! Let's instead practice getting closer so Billy won't have to be asked to do things we all know he'll be inconsistent at best at.

I hope our offense can pratice, plan and execute better. They also need to have a definite plan where they can adjust to bengals D' fast and early if they do not pick up the pace. They cant just stick around for the whole 45minute using the same thing if it doesnt work.

That was a HUGE loss in Seattle. Now this team must do some real soul searching and come up with some consistency. There is no longer any room for errors. They "simply" must go undefeated from here on in and they will get home field advantage throughout the playoffs. It is quite obvious they need home field to win it all. New England will probably win all their remaining games as they now have an easy schedule but if the Ravens do the same I believe they get the advantage. Not an easy task but certainly doable. Cincy is not that good a team in my opinion but it is still difficult winning both inter-divisional games. The Ravens MUST get up for every game and take them one at a time. NO MORE STUPID ERRORS!

The number 1 seed right now is a 4 team battle at this point between the Ravens,Steelers,Texans and Patriots. The Ravens are the only team of the 4 that if they win out and go 7-0 the rest of the way will get the 1 seed no matter what the Steelers,Texans,or Patriots do. The Steelers need to win out and have the Ravens and Texans both lose 1 game each for them to get the number 1 seed. The Texans and Patriots need some more things to happen for them to jump to the 1. But as of right now the way it stands it looks like the winner of the AFC North whether it's the Ravens or the Steelers is going to be the number 1 seed in the AFC...

Well we are at home, so I think we'll win..but if we decide to fumble the ball (what, for the 9th game straight?), throw more interceptions (as Joe likes to against the Bengals), or let Benson run all over us, we might as well throw in the towel because our playoff hopes are done.

I'm already done with the Seattle game. I can't believe we made so many mistakes, and yet at the same time I can. I'm moving on, because nothing but anger and everything is going to cloud what I think about it. So, Cincy. We've seen what they're made of after playing Pitt. today. What do ya'll think? I think they have a pretty good little football team there. It kinda came down to the wire and it may have turned out well for us as Green and Hall went out with injury towards the fourth quarter. What do you guys think after seeing the Cats in action?
I can't believe we are talking about this game already. We look horrible at the moment. Our offense is laughable and now our D looks bad also. We are in trouble.
