MERGED: At This Rate & We Won't Make The Playoffs

59 posts in this topic

You heard it here first. Our team is so inconsistent that I really don't see us making the playoffs.

Fortunately we do have some great tiebreakers(Steelers,Texans,Jets) but who thinks we will
have trouble against the lowly Colts? I do as they play a defense we have major trouble against.I would not
be surprised if we lose one of the Browns games as well.

Playoff teams don't crap the bed against bad teams and make Tavares Jackson look like Joe Montana.

Grades against Seatlle-Offense-D -

We still control our own fate. We win out, we go 13-3, win the division and get at least a number 2 seed. But this will only happen if the team gets it's crap together ONCE AND FOR ALL.

At this rate it is probably not a better thing to have the easiest remaining division schedule...
Sad. Sad but so true.

Our slogan should be changed from "Relentless" to "Inconsistent" lol

That was my FB status lol

Ah it's just a game folks. Even though I wasn't entertained in the slightest.

I know people were excited about the steeler game myself included, but I knew that the next game would be a struggle this team suffers from "little lights" games when their in spotlight their on they play hard and with passion. I'm not shocked by the loss I kind of expected.

We don't have the easiest remaining schedule. The difference between us and Pitt is we have Indy and SD, while they have KC and STL. We have the hardest schedule no matter, not that I trust us to win any games from now on.

You are right...the situation is hopeless ..they should pack it in.

I expected us to split the remaining road games and win the home games. I expected a loss here and @Cincy, so so far things are going according to plan.

But just drop one ONE home game, and it's over for us.

I completely agree. I'm going to say something some of you might be upset with, but we don't deserve the credit all of us have been complaining about. I think we secretly like to believe that we've had some fluke games but that it wasn't indicative of what this team was inevitably going to end up doing. We've been wrong, and I think we would be more prudent to focus on the fact that this team is young in some aspects and needs some time to develop. Believing that this team is ready to win the SB is setting the bar too high right now.

I can't say that I'm angry at this loss, in fact I found myself surprisingly calm today. I was joking with my friends and flirting with girls as if the Ravens weren't even playing (and they weren't playing well). I asked myself why the change, since I usually have a major mood swing. The answer is simple: this is all to familiar. I didn't know what to expect. Outside of all the propaganda this website produces, we all know that the Ravens could come out bad or good and there isn't any reason to believe it will be one over the other.

More so, I'm upset that the Bengals loss today put us on top and then we blow that by losing to another bad team. We can't blame anyone but ourselves. Our D didn't do that great, we passed the ball entirely too much today, and our special teams was embarrassing. I like David Reed, but he has NO ball security. Our secondary looked like POO today. I mean, even Ed looked bad. Tavaris Jackson? Wow. He lite our butts up today.

Look at my history, while everybody was as negative as can be, *I* was the positive one. I defended everyone there is to defend. And they have let me down again. I am a Ravens fan, I watch till the end of every game, but I can no longer pretend that there is no problems. I was angry at the lack of respect we get, now I fully understand it. Playing like that, why would we get any respect? My only comfort for the rest of the season? Either we knock Pitts out of the playoffs again, or Harbaugh gets his comeuppance for not preparing this team sufficiently.

Remember, Oakland last year I think swept the division and still couldn't make to playoff. It might as well can happen to us...

Why didn't we establish running game at beginning of the game? throw throw throw all day long, one dimentional offense kills the team.

ST KR was killing us; we need to send D. Reed to practice squad and put Doss in.

PS: Cam is still the cancer......surgery won't cure the malignant cancer; we need chemo-rid-off-Cam therapy....

BTW defense looked bad; we couldn't generate any good pressure against rookie QB......

everyone will be happy next week when we beat cincy and move back into first place at 7-3 3-0 inside the AFC North

Id love to have your optimism but we will have a very difficult time against Cincy's defense. They play that defensive scheme
Cam cant just figure out after how many decades of coaching?

Remember Oakland was 6-0 in their division and still didn't win because they didn't win their other games... sound familiar?

So, what good player could drop to us at # 20 in the Draft?

I still believe we win at least 11 games.... but I don't know if I trust this team come playoff time because we have a TRUE identity crisis.... Cam thinks he is a HC that calls his own plays, Harbaugh needs to step up reign him in some... Even Lovie Smith had to talk to Mike Martz about calling too many passes...........................

The defense was really disappointing to me, all the missed tackles by McClain, no pressure on QB.. What happen to INTs, I have false hope that I will see Ed Reed make a play, and it just isn't happening...

I still have faith. Okay, we lose to another lesser team, but we're beating the good teams.

This season has just been too bizarre. Sweeping Steelers (a blowout in Week 1 at that), the Jets game, the losing to sub .500 teams etc.

it's too early to say "we won't make the playoffs."

Don't be ridiculous. Greenbay lost to Washington Detroit and miami last year. We need to fix special teams, maybe laquan Williams returning and cundiff need to get his crap together.

I think we'll make the playoffs but winning the division and getting a home playoff game is looking real bleek. There is a serious problem with this team. Cam needs to go but i'm also questioning whether Jon is the head coach that we need to take control. There is definitely a problem when I'm confident with playing the texans, jets, chargers ,bengals, steelers, etc but get scared to death when I hear the titans, seahawks or colts. I love my Ravens and I love Ozzie. I really do. But this crap needs to stop here and know. How much more does Oz or Even Biscotti need to see? Every year its the same thing. Win some good games lose some bad games get wildcard, win first round lose next following rounds, rinse and repeat.smfh. I'm pretty confident well make the playoffs but it works my nerve, that when we have the chance to rule the AFC north with an iron fist we lose to the jaguars ,titans and seahawks. The worst part is that the steelers get a division lead even after we swept them because of our lack of execution against the bottom of the barrel. Not gonna give up on my Ravens but something has to shake. We need to finish 13-3 or 12-4 or we get no division title. We can make it happen but the question is will we? Exactly. We sweep the Steelers but might still lose the division. Shameful. We need to win out just to win the division.
