Blame Game

All good points but to me this game boiled down to special teams. David Reed needs to go. He produces nothing on offense and he had no business being on the field after the first fumble. The way he held that ball he was asking to have it knocked loose. I think the whole stadium smelled a fumble watching him stupidly run out of the endzone. (don't do it Reed...down it Reed.....Don't do it man......oh god he's running it out...look at that football.....oh no....a fumble....didn't see that coming)

Our defense somehow miraculously held them to 2 FG's and that is saying a lot considering how terrible they were.

The 2 fumbles and missed FG's were the difference in the game-point wise. I know the game was a giant puke by the defense but they made some good stops early on. Our offense managed some good points so they kinda showed up...even without a running back and Flacco regressing....again. Dickson playes his arse off

Where should we start,

How about the head coach ... for it starts whit him.
Special teams ...KR ..David Reed ...to quote Forest ....Stupid is as Stupid does.
Defense .... well guys , you may have been there for the game but you didn't play the game when it counted.
Cam .... I should quote Forest again.
Offense .. not all bad, but why can't we get 1/2 the push Settle did on any running play ? Line coach issue ?

I blame everybody minus Dennis Pitta

Sorry, Dickson played big this game also. Shame for him to lose after his breakout performance.

i dont put to much blame on the defense, for the fact that they were on the field almost all game due to mistakes by special teams coaching with david reed, why keep letting him return the ball, OUR COACHING IS JUST PLAIN BAD, week in and week out..

JOE FLACCO PLAYED POORLY FOR THROWING FOR 52 ATTEMPTS AND ONLY 250 SOME YARDS, for real? anyone who is supposebly elite should be over 400 easily, he missed so many open targets, yea we had some drops, he had 1 INT which should have been 4 if anyone could see..

FINALLY CAM CAMERON MUST GO

Its a good thing we made Leach the highest paid FB in the league, changed our blocking scheme to one that requires smaller more athletic Olineman (Grubbs and Oher the only ones this scheme would actually fit), and paid Yanda a grip of money to stay to "improve" our run game.

I thought Harbaugh was going to have more "input" into the offensive gameplan....psyche on that one eh Harbs?

Cam once again called a horrible game....but Im no longer putting all of this on him...

For one Harbaugh is the HEAD coach...and no coordinator is gonna take my star running back outta the game...especially after we just lost to a bad team in jacksonville the same way..

Also can we blame Cam for having faith in Flacco to throw the ball that much...Flacco is fooling everyone this year. One minute he's up the next he's down..if I'm cam I'd have faith that Flacco could handle passing on the Seahawks too after I've watched my QB tourch the Steelers twice this year

Can't do anything about Reed...except keep the ball out his hands from now on..

Billy Cundif =pro bowler?
This team is sadly overrated and God forbid this season ends with a collapse or a wildcard with us losing In the second round again....I'm gonna want heads to roll...starting with Harbaugh.

Yea. Harbs always seems to get a pass. He doesn't really call the offensive or defensive plays. He doesn't throw the ball or fumble. So he gets a lot of passes because its hard to pinpoint things onto him.

BUT he deserves a lot of flack for the bad losses we've had this year. Harbs is a 'rah rah' type coach and he hasn't gotten our guys up to the task to play in games we should win. On top of that being a ST coach, our special teams is one of the worst in the leagues (excluding Koch). So yea, Harbs needs to take a lot of heat.

If I am Harbaugh, I run down the sideline to Cam and ask what the hell he is doing? Tell him to start running the ball. That simple yet it doesn't happen

Exactly it. Reed blew that game. You can't lose the turnover battle in a game and expect to win the game. it just doesn't happen. Who knows what our offense would do if we had a couple more possessions with more time, and the score differential nothing being as much. And when you get behind like that, and the fact that we aren't running the ball at all, then the Seahawks could just drop back in nickel coverage and just wait for Flacco to make his next move. Cam went back to being Cam.

This one can be chalked up to the whole team failing in pretty much every aspect of the game. I feel compelled to break down a little further though after letting this loss simmer for a bit.

The majority of the blame goes to Special Teams IMO. David Reed was the opposite of special on Sunday. 2 fumbles on KRs is unacceptable. I think the kid has talent, so I am not going to call for him to get cut, but he needs to sit for at least a week. Billy Cundiff cant hit FGs over 50yds. This is a problem. 2 long missed FGs are just as bad as turnovers. Even Sam Koch joined the party with a terrible punt giving the Seahawks great field position after another ST penalty (David Reed again).

As much as I want to blame Cam Cameron for not running the ball enough, the Defense was worse than our offense on Sunday. They did a great job holding the Seahawks to FGs, but on several occasion the Hawks were able to get first downs on crucial 3rd and longs. That's not Ravens defense. We all saw Ray and JJ get embarrassed by Beast Mode, that pretty much sums up the defensive performance in a nutshell. Our pass-rush was also not where it needs to be. Suggs made a couple of plays and drew a Holding call, but he was non-existent for most of the game. Kruger honestly looked like a better edge rusher at times this game. Pollard got exposed a few times in coverage as well. He tends to get sucked-in by play fakes and loses focus on what his responsibilities are. What really struck me was the lack of aggression that we have seen throughout most of the season. Our game-plan kind of reminded me of what we saw against Tennessee. We need to bring more heat on passing-downs and trust our CBs in press-man coverage. Lets see what Jimmy Smith can do if Carr or Williams are not up for it. We drafted him to be a lock-down Corner so give him a chance.

Now back to the Offense. Cam Cameron (and Harbaugh) get a lot of blame for the way that game was called. It is inexcusable for Ray Rice, our most dynamic offensive weapon, to only touch the ball 13 times. Inexcusable. I know our passing game was clicking to some extent, but we have to remain balanced because drops and bad passes do happen. Joe played a pretty good game IMO. I think he had about 6-7 dropped balls that were right on the money, but he also missed a few open guys for huge gains (Torrey and Pitta come to mind). He cant be asked to throw the ball 50-60 times a game even if its a good match-up. Thats just not good football. Someone needs to explain to Cam that our "Diesel Package" can be used to effectively run the ball as well. I think he missed that memo.

Finally, Harbs deserves a large chunk of the blame as well. That challenge of the spot with 2min left was terrible. Wasted a timeout that could have potentially gotten us the ball back if we could make a stop, but without it the ball-game was essentially over. Harbs also needs to reign in Cam when he gets pass-happy like this. That is the responsiblity of the HC.

I think there are a few positives that can be taken away from this game, like the performance of our TEs. I honestly felt that if our Defense would have gotten us the ball back, that we would have won the game which is saying something. I havent always had that much faith in our offense. If we can get back to a balanced offensive attack and a more aggressive defense, we should be looking good.

Well that sums it up for me. Rant over.

Dickson must have been playing this Blame Game too. In his interview.. he said, "Offensive line gave Joe some time.. finally."

I have a feeling this weeks practices wont be as jovial.

Who do we blame this week?

I blame David Reed, Our pass rush, Cam Cameron, Defense and Flacco.

2 fumbles? Really?

We barely sacked them and they have one of the worst o-lines in the league

We totally abondoned the run game

Terrel Suggs, Ngata, and Ed Reed did absoluetly nothing and we let Lynch run all over us

Flacco just kept overthrowing/underthrowing and missing wide open receivers the whole game

EDIT: Billy Cundiff misses 2 FGs that would've won us the game. Happened im Jax to.
I feel like they just had an off week. Every team has them. I wouldn't blame anybody on the team, because they all did bad. Every team has those games where they can't get anything going, and this was one of those games for us.

You cannot blame the fans for how the team performs... We have been there through the thick and thin. We grind it out like all the other fans that support there teams. We just feel that our expectations have not been met that's all... We are headed to 8-8 and we should be 9-0.
