This is a big difference from when you had Torrey Behind Harper, Doss and LaQuan on the WR depth chart.

Nobody has had consistency on offensive. Every player has had their lapses. Nobody on the O-Line deserves it. Rice hasn't been stellar. I would have to give it to probably Joe first. Just for his win in Pittsburgh for the most part. But Q and Torrey would be like 1a.

Agreed. But I see what he did there. He is saying that Grubbs is the most valuable to our team. When he isn't in the game, we feel it.

But we could say that for a lot of guys if they miss time with an injury. If Joe goes out, I'm sure we'd miss him. IMO you have to give an overall MVP award to a guy that has been making plays on the field (who hasn't missed a ton of time).

Maybe so, but take aaron rodgers from the packers, flacco, ray rice from or offense, our ray lewis, ed reed, haloti ngata and we don't sweep the steelers. They have had more impact by playing than grubbs has by sitting

Yanda should get something. He's textbook on virtually every snap.
Best offensive lineman - Yanda. No contest.

Offensive Rookie of the Year: Torrey Smith, he kind of wins by default though.
Offensive Player of the Year: Anquan Boldin, he finally turned something on during the past few weeks that I haven't seen from him in Baltimore. Once he started being used more correctly he's come alive, and he's been on fire the past few weeks.

Defensive Rookie of the Year: Pernell Mcphee, there are a lot of teams wishing they didn't pass on this kid right now for 5 rounds.
Defensive Player of the Year: Sizzle, barring the last game he's been Ballin' So Hard this year.

Most Valuable Player: Ben Grubbs, which is odd considering he's an guard. Our offensive line held up a lot better with him in the lineup though, he wins more through how shaky things were in his absence. The offensive system finally changed last week though, and I think a lot of our early season issues were a result of that more than one guy being injured. Still, Grubbs is a very important piece of this team.

Offensive Rookie: Torrey
Offensive MVP: Rice/Boldin

Defensive Rookie: McPhee
Defensive MVP: Sizzle (if he's a "second half of the season" player like he says he is, he's got a chance of DPOY)

Surprise of the year: Kruger, although Webb deserves a mention.

Overall MVP: Not really a player but Pagano has transformed the defense. He's brought back the swagger and the aggressive mentality and it shows in game and on the stat sheet. His promotion was more than a breath of fresh air for the defense.

Suggs will never get dpoy. When it cones to that its all about sacks for olb/de. Run stopping goes unoticed, forcing the passer to pretty much walk into someone else for a sack does to. Itl be ware or Allen, but all they do is rush. Suggs is most complete by a long way though

I don't think its wierd for a lineman to win it! Maybe I'm just biased. Lol. But, I think we could give him MVP. Our offense is noticeably more dynamic when he's playing.

I don't know where this Peyton Manning mentality came from, but using it to give the MVP to Grubbs (and there are players who we would miss far more than him) is beyond ludicrous. Peyton Manning is of NO VALUE to the 2011 Colts. If you're talking about the 2011 MVP award, Manning is sitting on the bench for an 0-9 team. How's that being valuable? The same thing applies to Grubbs. By being injured, he has been of little value to us. It doesn't matter what he hypothetically could have provided.

Ditto this.

The only award I would add is Overall MVP - Ray Lewis. I think he is still the glue that holds this thing together.

Offensive ROY ......Torrey Smith
Offensive MVP........Anquan Boldin
Offensive "Let Down"*.......Lee Evans/Vonta Leach
(Hoping we would run the ball a lot better with Leach but it's not the case. Evans has been injured almost all season.)

Defensive ROY.......Pernell Mcphee
Defensive MVP.......Terrell Suggs
Defensive "Let Down"*.....Ed Reed/Jimmy Smith
(Reed hasn't had an interception since Week 1? Yeah he had a FF against Jets but Reed should be getting more picks with the corners we have starting. More freedom to roam. Jimmy got injured week 1 and this is a guy we were all excited about yet Chris Carr comes in before him for the nickle back role)

Overall MVP........Ben Grubbs
(This team is at least 7-1 with him playing all the games this year, Jacksonville fiasco doesn't happen with him healthy)

Best single game performance (Offence) ..... Torrey Smith vs Rams
Best Single game performance (Defense).....Terrell Suggs vs Steelers (Week 1)
Worst single game performance (Offense).....Entire offense vs Jax
Worst single game performance (Defense).....Secondary vs Titans

Best hits of the season.....JJ and Ray vs Hines Ward

*Let Down meaning not living up to potential going into the year, not saying they are bad player. Just have had unfortunate year given potential and expectations.

Offensive MVP: Anquan Boldin:
Nobody has really stood here. But Q has been the most consistent player.

Defensive MVP: Haloti Ngata
I can care less about stats. This guy eats o-lineman. I'd say hes the best defensive player in the NFL period. Suggs has been amazing no doubt. But he isn't having the year he is without Ngata taking up multiple blockers.

Ngata is the defensive MVP, I know without him taking on 2 and 3 guys on some plays Suggs wouldnt have some of the sacks he has, Ngata does a lot for this defense even if he doesn't put up huge numbers every week

I get that. But if he's not playing for them, what value does he provide?

I don't know if I can truly decide on a defensive MVP, I feel like we have the epitome of a true team defense. In my opinion, no one really stands too far from the crowd at this point. It's truly a team defense.

ORoY: Torrey Smith-The only choice, really, despite the fact that the prevailing opinion on these boards seemed to be until about a week ago that Tandon Doss should be in his starting spot.
Offensive MVP: Joe Flacco-When he has a big day, everyone has a big day. Sweeping the Steelers is huge, and he was a machine against them in both games. Rice is defintely due some consideration because of his output, but the QB is the toughest, and most important, position on the field.

Defensive RoY: Pernell McPhee-He plays with a motor on every play and has found himself in the backfield more often than most would have expected from a late-round pick. It will be interesting to see if Jimmy Smith can start to get some more playing time and push for this award at the end of the season.
Defensive MVP: Terrell Suggs-He leads the team in sacks with 6, has 2 INTs, and 2 FFs. Ngata had a great season's start, but hasn't been as present on every down since he hurt his thigh. He just hasn't pushed the middle like he did in the first five games. That will change as he gets healthy and the debate between him and Suggs will be a fierce one. Ray Lewis as always gets some consideration, but on a roster with plenty of stars, none has shined brighter than Suggs so far this season.

Upgrade of the Year: Pagano over Mattison-Pagano has put back together the ferocious defense we all want to see. I'm sure Mattison might have been a good DC for a lot of teams, but he wasn't great at using the talent he had appropriately here in Baltimore. Pags ahs done much better.
Best FA: Vonta Leach-The Ravens don't usually go big on FAs, but Leach was the right call. The rushing game has had some struggles this season, but that has largely been due to uncertainty on the line. Leach has delivered some huge hits and done an excellent job blocking.
