Hines Ward Hit

17 posts in this topic

I don't know how anybody else feels but I look at the Hines Ward hit as kind of poetic justice. He Has been a cheap shot artist for years and I was happy he got his bell rung. Maybe he will retire!

I would have felt at least mildly bad for almost any other player.

He is so hated in Ravenstown, I could care less if he is taken out on a stretcher. Thanks, Ray Ray for making him look like pudding Sunday night.

As much as I can't stand Wines Hard I have been thinking that THIS year he's more of a liability than a playmaker. The guy's wheels are falling off and it's plain that the other receivers behind him are better at every aspect of the position. So when he got knocked out I was worried that the guy coming in was frankly a better gamer. Still we won the game, and that's all that matters. Hopefully he retires and that's the last we have to see of him.

It's the small things in life that bring us joy. I did see his smile was just gone after the hit. Loved all the hits he has taken this year and there have been quite a few.

Hopefully, he takes his phony smile somewhere else next year. "Ward retires from football" is all I want to read about him.

I had the same thought. The announcers said it perfectly when they said that Cotchery is Hines Ward six years ago. Quick, but not fast. Great route runner, great hands, just a better receiver this year than Hines is.
