I root for any team that plays against the Steelers. Let them sweep the Steelers. We can handle the Bengals at least split the games with them and we will not have to face the Steelers in any Play Off scenario.

I'd love to see Cincy win this. They have such a lack of depth that I don't see their run continuing, regardless of whether it's "real" or not (hey, as poor as their schedule may have been, they put up 30 on a Jax defense that I think we remember pretty well). This win more or less puts the Squealers in dire straits--provided we don't choke in Seattle.

Bengals.
Normally i would root for the Steelers to win everygame other than Baltimore.
Just because i want them to be really good when we beat them so there are no excuses.
but i'm from Ohio. Like an hour away from Cinci so if i had to pick a team other than Baltimore it would be them.

So we would be better off if we split with them or got swept ourselves? I don't understand that logic.

And i do not understand your statement....I am saying that they swept the Steelers but the odds of beating them a third time in one season would be difficult.

It's difficult every time you play them, but however many times you beat them prior to that holds no bearing on the rest of the season. The other games are in the rear view, each week there is only one game.

Oh I'm sure that they would but realistically this year, flacco had best the brakes off those cats, came from behind with three drops on the game winning drive and was still poetry in motion. If he beats them in the playoffs then this whole teams confidence goes through the roof. I would much rather beat these <guys> on the way to the lombardi so no one cam say will if they would have played the steelers our whatever, beat the best to get there and win youy <shake> everybody with sense up.
I hear ya, but i kinda doubt they will make it to the play offs and if they do. We would have homefield advantage plus i think they would have to go through another team before they would even play us. Assuming that we get the bye. If we keep winning we will.

We're only at the half-way point. There's still time for the division and play-off race to shake out. I'm hoping for a Steelers loss.

Easily the Bengals. I do not want to face the Steelers in the playoffs at all if it can be avoided. Let's talk about beating the Steelers in the playoffs on the way to the Superbowl after we win one. They've taken us out of the playoffs 2 of the last 3 years, and now we have an opportunity to avoid them completely.

Steelers have an easier schedule than Cinci, therefor it would be beneficial to the ravens for Cinci to win this week. Middle of the season, standings don't matter. What's important is getting the ravens an easier playoff run at home.

Who cares if we are tied with them on week 10? By week 14 we'll have at least a game on them and the steelers will then be a game behind the bengals. I don't know about you, but beating the steelers 3 times in a year is hard. Beating the bengals sans carson palmer and chad ochosinco... we'll see but my guess is that it would easier.

The ravens look favorable against 7 of their next 8 opponents, the 49ers being the best team we play from here on out. That puts us at 13-3. great.
The bengals look favorable against 4/5 of their next 8 opponents, losing to the steelers once or twice, and the ravens twice. That puts the bengals at 10/6 or 11/5
The steelers look favorable against 7 of their next 8, the 49ers being their best opponent. That puts them at 12-4.

Under this circumstance, which seems likely given the way these teams are playing, the steelers will be a wild card and play the Ravens at the Bank. To get matched against the much weaker Bengals against the Ravens at M&T, we need the steelers to lose as many as they can and let nature run its course with the much more difficult bengals schedule.

I respect the Steelers, but that doesn't mean I like them. I'm pulling for the Bengals to get the win, and honestly with the way Joe was able to find open receivers, imagine what AJ Green could do to their defense. I'm not worried about the whole tie breaker of how many games the Bengals have won in the AFC, or the fact they have a common opponent tie breaker because they beat the Titans and Jags, the only tie breaker that matters is being able to beat them and go 3-0 in the division next week, all I know is I don't want the Steelers in the playoffs, and I want the # 1 Seed in the AFC. Right now the Bengals hold the # 1 Seed right now, and as long as the Ravens take care of business in Seattle, we'll get the # 1 Seed next week, regardless Bengals or Steelers win.

Who here wants to go to Buffalo Wild Wings to ensure this game ends in a tie? :P

After that of course I'm pulling for the Steel Skirts to lose every game as I am with everyone in the AFC North not named the Baltimore Ravens!

But what is the ultimate goal? THE SUPER BOWL. A RING FOR ED REED.

And also, this year the Super Bowl is in Indianapolis. If there was EVER a time to win the Super Bowl, it's right in front of Irsay... right in his little back yard.

These two things would make me complete.

I want the Steelers to lose. I don't even want them to have any hopes of a playoff birth. We will take care of Cincy next week.

We need to Cincy to lose. Why would you want Steelers to lose so we could still be in 2nd place? lol

Because November standings mean nothing.

We have 2 games with the bengals and control our own fate. Hopefully, bengals win today, we beat them next week and New Year's day, all is good.

I'm really torn on this one - both teams have a lot to prove in this match-up. I think the Bengals will have a slight benefit of being on a winning streak on their home field against a team that is still smarting in anger from last week's defeat at our hands. Which team will do a better job of channeling that emotional energy into effective plays today? My heart (and my hatred for Pittsburgh) tells me to root for the Bengals to remove the Steelers - my head tells me it would be better for the Steelers to win for the sake of divisional standings - and my gut tells me that it will be a close match with both teams getting roughed up. At this point, I just don't think the Bengals can carry their streak much further and expect them to start faltering. I'd like to see the Bengals win today, but have doubts that they will pull it off.

We do not need someone else to do our dirty work. If we take care of our own business, which we should, then the Sqeelers can be swept by Cincy and it won't affect us one bit. Short of dropping them from the playoffs completely.

Can't they both lose! That would be optimal. I guess I'll take a bungles win, don't want to see Pittsburgh again.

WoW ! I guess I am the lone person that would like to see the Ravens play the Steelers again, and yes in the playoffs at the bank. For me it would be the icing on the cake to knock those clowns out of the playoffs. ( well the rivalry cake ) Obviously going to and winning the super bowl is the ultimate goal. But i still see a bit of unfinished business as far as the Steelers are concerned. Nothing would be better on the way to that ultimate goal than to knock out the Steelers for a third time this season and to send them home while doing so.

Just my opinion.

This is just my opinion. But I think both teams are losers in life. If that counts for anything.

After 3 quarters, it's Steelers 24, Bengals 17. I am glad that we are playing the Bengals at home this time. I guess that they will collapse in the 2nd half now.

I think I always just feel bad for cincy, so I'm ok with them having a good year from time to time. I could totally live with the Steelers going winless for the next 50 years though!
