Do You Consider John Harbaugh A Good Coach ?

Whether or not he is "good" coach, or even the "best" coach is debatable; however, he is the most consistent of all the coaches the Ravens have had. The "Points Forced vs. Points Allowed" numbers from '96 until midway through the 2011 season can be seen below.

(Stars are for the post-season. Gold is a Super Bowl win. Silver is a playoff appearance.)

That's a great stat. Consistency, to me, is the the key to building a championship team.

where do you have John Harbaugh as a Coach,i think he's pretty good Coach
I am going to say he is the best coach the Ravens ever had, especially if he makes the playoffs which would be four years in a row.

We should of kept Zorn.

I feel like these are two equally ridiculous suggestions.. and how funny is it that they ended up on the same post.

I like his personality, but I think his actions after the Steelers game showed a lack of maturity. His decision to keep Cam, shows his friendship runs deep and he is willing to fight for his coaches, but is he willing to sacrifice those friendships to improve the team. So far I have yet to see him stand up and do the job as a head coach.

I consider him a good coach. He knows how to lead men and reel them in when they get out of line. Now in terms of overall football, it's hard to say. Not that he doesn't know the game but he comes from a Special Teams background so his input on offense and defense seems like it would be very limited and he needs a good OC and DC to largely take care of business.

This is a great chart, those 10 points allowed per game is amazing. Also, it's nice to see that our offensive is performing at a franchise best right now, just another reason among many why I don't get the Flacco criticisms, look what he's done in comparison to past qbs.

I think he is a very good coach and the only thing i question is his choice of Coordinators "Pagano excluded".

I like the emotion he shows, remember when most people said they think Jim is more enthusiastic; john responded by saying my players would say otherwise. I think our players respect him and have good chemistry going, something billick definitely lost in the later years.

Lets not forget about rex. He could have easily passed as a lineman, and I am sure that he is none to pleased with harbaugh for stealing his job.lol

Harbs is a good coach, but he's still learning the HC position. He's scared me at times this year, but overall I think he is the guy.

He is a great coach because he is a winning coach. Now, when we win the Super Bowl he will rise to the totally-awesome-better than sliced bread-heroic-coach of all time, status!

I wouldnt say Harbs is a great X's and O's HC, but he is an a excellent leader and motivator. He makes the right decision when it matters concerning challenges, timeouts, etc. All the players respect him and play hard for him and thats what really matters. I cant think of many if any games in which a head coaching blunder cost us the game.

Everyone seems to forget that prior to this season the Ravens destroyed inferior opponents under Harbs... I can't explain why we've struggled so much on the Road against bad teams, but I do know that we rarely lose twice in a row in the Harbaugh era, so I'm fully expecting a big bounce-back win this Sunday at Home.

NO, he was the wrong man for the job. Should have been Rex without a doubt. He has taken one of the most tallented teams and continually underperformed. This was a superbowl built team the last 4 years and they have squandered it. We have trouble getting free agents beacuse of the way john works the players. Flacco is lazy and does not put in the time to be a great QB. All I hear is coach speak and excuses out of the both of them. They make the same stupid mistakes over and over again. We need a coach the the players believe in and a QB who is a leader. We have neither.

Dont confuse your opinoins with the players, well that is unless you are secretly on our roster.

Joe is lazy. He does not put in the film time.

He does not make on the field adjustments

He doesnt review formations on the sidelines

He doesnt even talk with his OC after they go 3 and out.

He doesnt care

You dont study film with him.

He is not allowed.

That should be on the Oc to get him that.

I doubt you would have a lot to say to Cam if constantly made you look dumb.

Cam doesnt care.

See how easy it was to make assumptions with no proof. Joe seems to have support from stalwarts on this team, Cam is getting called out by them. I wonder who the real problem is.

Do you have anything to support this? Or are you just parroting what Jamie Dukes said?

Yeah, me too. The only time I've ever heard that claim is from the fattest of NFLN talking heads.

Flacco has been inconsistent but it definitely isn't because of lack of work. That is, if you believe anyone other than Jamie Dukes.
