Tolber Or Matthews?

4 posts in this topic

Both have a great matchup vs OAK on Thurs night.
Matthews:
Pros: Gets alot of yards and OAK gives alot of yards, will most likely start
Cons: Coming off a groin injury, Tolberts presence.
Tolbert:
Pros: Steals TDs from Matthews, catches alot of passes,Redzone target, healthy
Cons: Shares carrys
Im leaning towards Tolbert because Matthews may still be hurting plus Tolbert had great game vs Packers and chargers may not feel forced to give Matthews alot of looks. Plus Tolbert gets more TDs.

Also
Dez Bryant or Julio Jones
Miles Austin is out so Dez could get more targets but he'll also face the Bills who have a pretty good secondary and will focus on Bryant the most.

Falcons vs Saints should be a shootout. Jones should have good game but he also has Roddy White, Turner, Gonzalez on his team he will have to share with. I feel they both are good but Im leaning towards Dez because that also should be a shootout and with Austin out Romo will be forced to throw to either Witten or him.
I need some other opinions, this is a huge game for me that could decide if I make the playoffs.
Thanks

I like how you missed a 't' in Tolbert but added an additional 't' into Mathews.

Chargers 'hope' to get Mathews 15-20 touches. If this were true Tolbert is looking at 10-12 touches. But with Mathews banged up I can't see this being the case. Tolbert gets catches and goal line looks and will even get some early downs as well. I'd go with Tolbert.

Don't worry, Mathews is a tricky one. It's usually spelled with two ts. I've learned this over time due to the constant searching of 'Ryan Matthews' and turning up no results.
