Provide the offensive line doesnt perform offensively

Well, with Grubbs seemingly back in the fold, I can only see this O-line improving each week.

Doubtful... it's not like they're putting up Pro Bowl TE numbers. They are good players right now, but should be under contract at least one more year. I foresee both of them being long-time Ravens a la Todd Heap.

Agreed about having Torrey and Lee on the outside while moving Q in the slot... pretty much unstoppable, especially once you throw Dickson and Pitta in the mix too with Rice coming out of the backfield. I dare you to stop that!

We have the potential to be a beast on offense.

Been wanting to hear this. Torey and Q have been good but it's always great to have another threat out there. Hope he's completely better and can last the rest of the season.

Scary to think of those 3 receivers out there if you are the other team!!! :)

Not really. You have a great possession receiver, a drop-prone rookie, and an average #2 WR followed by more rookies and Reed, who has no catches. I don't think our WRs are scaring anyone by name.

Big-play rookie is more like it... Q has had his share of drops this season, as have plenty of other receivers in the league. Our WR corps is only going to get better.

This is great news and getting Grubbs back was just as important. We all seen the time Flacco had in the pocket with Lee and Torrey stretching the field Joe will be throwing it all over the field.

Getting Evans back is real nice cuz now you got double trouble on the outside. Then add in Q who will own in the slot.

Yeah having an extra burner in Evans would be huge. Hopefully we can dream a little about
having Anquan,Torrey and Lee on the field at the same time!

Its very exciting to hear Lee Evans appears to be on his way back.

I'm actually thinking he would be most effective in the slot. I believe Torrey has earned his starting role for the time being, and quite honestly, his "iffy" hands make him less than ideal for running around linebackers and safeties. Boldin is playing lights out, and provides a unique threat on the outside, so obviously he remains the number 1.

Putting Lee in a stagger formation with Torrey would give a corner and the safety a jolt of fear as they run 10 yards down the field stride for stride, and then break in opposite directions ( one being the go).....

Lee is a veteran with very good hands, and extensive experience of coverages....I'd see him getting 25 catches by years end.....a few TD's as well.

Evans gave us quite the scare last year.

Anyone have the latest info on how Evans is feeling after practicing. I have to say I wasn't feeling his chances of contributing this season was very good after the last setbacks. Get well soon!!

I was looking for the injury thread that was used for Grubbs and Evans in particular (maybe we should have a stickied injury updates thread?), so feel free to merge this if it's too redundant, just thought I should let everyone know that things look optimistic for Evans...

DanKolko Dan Kolko

WR Lee Evans said he plans on testing out his injured ankle in practice this week. Is optimistic he might be able to play Sunday [s]#[/s]Ravens

I'm happy to hear things are looking good, but I might have him wait until Cincinnatti unless he and the medical staff believe he is okay to play in Seattle. I'd hate to see him reinjure his ankle, but perhaps if he plays in Seattle he won't be rusty at all for Cincinnatti next week.

That would be perfect to go up against a lack luster Seahawks Secondary. That would be great, 2 deep threats and Boldin. Kinda hoping they do atleast 5 or 6 , 4 wr sets so my boy Lq. Williams can get into the line up. He is my Favorite offensive player.

Big play when he doesn't drop the ball.

Big play rookie who has 4 TDs in his career? Nice for a #5 receiver but for a #2, not so much.
Evans gave us quite the scare last year.
That's because we had Fabian Washington covering him.

You can't possibly think we beat the Steelers BECAUSE of our receivers. They dropped every fourth ball thrown towards them.

Come on you all. I'm not down on our receivers but most teams have a better receiving corp than us.

Please. Just because we won on a pass doesn't mean our receivers scare people.

I don't think he would finally start practicing after all this time and not play if he has no setbacks I say let him play after our 2 losses to bad teams on the road I would like all the fire power we have for this game.

The only receiving corps that scares people is the Packers because they're so deep. Megatron, A. Johnson and Fitz give coaches nightmares... not many others.

'Scare' may be an inappropriate word, for sure. All I know is that Revis was on Torrey. That says all it needs to say.

And Torrey had him beat a few times deep, but Flacco missed him. If Torrey had beat Revis for a few catches and maybe a TD, he would have definitely earned some more attention from opposing teams. Regardless, his monster performance against the Rams, and his game winner against the Steelers should earn him some respect from opposing teams.

If he is practicing most likely he is ready, the Ravens gave him extra weeks off to be sure...he said he is optimistic to play on Sunday, and he wont play if he cant make all the cuts, run all the routes, etc

Put it on the books and remember I called it a few weeks earlier. I said when Grubbs and Evans return, the Ravens are going to steamroll people. I know what I saw Week One and I know what I saw when one or both of these two guys weren't in the lineup. Lee Evans is a major wildcard here and I believe he and Joe will make people learn respect!
