Peyton Hillis.

Just a topic of conversation.....no need to get heated.

But under the AFC page up this morning, they mentioned the Brown's are prepared to release Hillis this off season. After a hurrendous season riddled with injuries thus far, we may be able to pick him up for cheap in the off season. Given an off season to heal he could become the perfect change of pace back to Ray Rice, he is also only 25 so he does have years ahead of him, unlike Ricky. Thoughts? Opinions?

I for one, would pick him up for the right price if he was interested. He was a beast last season, hopefully the madden curse isn't permanent.

Cheap is a relative term. Even though he has had a injury plagued season, some team will probably give him a decent contract.

He's a malcontent. And seriously do we NEED another RB with Ray and Ricky and Ant around?

Keep dreaming. I don't see it happening.

i'm actually impressed that the browns decided to not pay him, and now we know why. no team needs a player that doesn't care about the game, just ask the titans how they feel about cj right now

The Bears are doing the same thing with Forte. We are blessed to have a top RB in his rookie contract that isn't causing problems.

Forte has been carrying that offense all on his own for large chunks of the season, though. I can see Forte and Rice getting almost identical contracts, seeing as they're similar in just about every way (other than height).

I'm pretty sure Hillis' strep-throat was a load of garbage. The dude just wants paid so he can pull a CJ and never have to do anything ever again. You don't just lose talent overnight, despite CJ trying to prove it.

He and Hillis need to man up.

He has no heart and only cares about money. No thanks.

MADDUN CUSRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and Matt Forte is worth every penny. It's bad enough that the owner sold away one of Jay's favorite receiver(tight end, you get what I'm saying). Why can't the owners take a hit for once? Do they have to be as bad as Mike Brown or something? But I see your case since Frank Gore just got his brand new contract and he's....oh wait, you can't use that as an example.

well I don't know much about his personality. I always thought he was a humble guy....after getting cut by a team, I figured he was so good on the brown's because he was competing for a job, wasn't aware he was pulling a Gaither.

It sounds like he is isnt being resigned partially due to his "erratic behavior" in the locker room. I dont know exactly what that means, but it cant be good. Ricky is fine as the backup to Rice.

I'm a firm believer that players need more than one good year to warrant a good payday. Also think those owners that occasionally give those crazy contracts shouldn't effect players due one. Look at hainsworth, all he did was get paid & cause others to want the same.

The dude is good, I am not saying that we should get him by any means, but those discounting him be weary he is still a heck of a football player. Now I think Baltimore is the WAAAAAAYYY wrong fit for him, we take our time and make smart decisions with our money, not the kind of team he is looking for. Throw on top of that we have RR who is going to need paid, I dont think this deal ever gets considered.

Meanwhile, Michael Irving is trying to sell to everyone that Desean acting like a child is backed up because everyone got a new contract except him and all of the new upcoming stars.

Considering what Peyton Hillis has been into this season, I don't really think I would want him in the purple and black next season.
