Why are you assuming....did you forget about the Titans, Jags and Cardinals games already?
[/quote]

I would rather the Steelers lose and we tie with Cincy. I'm not gonna sit here and front, I hope Pitt doesn't even make the playoffs. They could say what they want about us not beating them but the fact would be we swept them which contributed to them not making the post season. With the way things are going in the East, no one knows what might happen. The Bengals are now entering the part of their schedule that we've taken care of (Texans and Steelers). As mad as I am about the Jags and Titans games I don't feel the team would be what they are now without those losses.

GO BENGALS!

But seriously we can win both cincy games, I would rather pitt just stay home this year. I still think we can beat them 3 times but they would witjout a doubt be our toughest competition in the AFC come playoff time, even if they're a wildcard. they've gone that route before and been succesful. I hope cincy steals one from pitt!

Go Cincy. If Cincy beats Pittsburgh that puts them in a much deeper hole with a worse divisional record. Also, with us still having two games to play against Cincy, we can take them out. Cincy beat Pitts, We beat Seattle, good weekend. Cincy always finds a way to blow it late in the season anyway. All I'm asking for, is to beat the Steelers, then they can implode away.

Maybe the best case scenario is that they both lose their starting quarterbacks.

Eh, I usually root for good football regardless. I'd rather beat a team at full strength so we don't have to hear excuses like so and so didn't play (which you can usually retort yeah well so and so didn't play for us neither.)

Oh and off-topic I know, but if anyone brags about their "rings" you can always say, "Yeah I know what happened in the past, remind me what happened last Sunday."

Or "Oh and remind me of how many times we lost a Super Bowl?"

In truth this is good for us either way...

best scenario. they split and we sweep the Bengals.

But ..... I just can't bring myself to cheer for the Steelers. I would rather go swimming in a bath tub with alligators wearing a pork chop bathing suit!!. Sorry, no can do! o.O.

GO RAVENS!

Hmmmmm i think i would rather Pitt beat Cincy......That would give Cincy a 6-3 record with a Conference record of 5-2. Then if the Ravens win at Seattle we would be 7-2 with a conference record of 4-2. Putting us in sole possession of 1st place in the AFC. If Cincy wins against Pitt they would be 7-2 with a 6-1 AFC conference record. That would then both put us and Cincy squaring off at 7-2. Even if we beat Cincy dropping them to 7-3 they would be 6-2 against the AFC while we would be 8-2 but only 5-2 against the AFC, meaning if we have another slip up in the AFC that would be devastating if Cincy keeps winning. Remember Cincy already have victories against Jax and Tenn two AFC teams that we lost too....We wouldve actually been better off losing to St.Louis and Arizona and beating Jax and Tenn

I hope they tie lol It's really a win/win for us either way so it saves me from having to root for either the Bengals or Steelers. A Steelers loss gives us another game up on them and a Bengals loss gives us a game up on them. The Bengals have to come to our house the next week and win or lose I figure they'll be a bit banged up after playing the Steelers.

I don't think the Bengals can hold on all season where as I see the Steelers with possibly only two more losses to Bengals and 49ers. They have the same schedule we have so I think we need a Bengals win.

Plus, how great would it be to knock the steelers out of playoffs!

This is kind of where I stand right now. Although a Cincy loss would help things right NOW, in the long term, a Steelers loss makes it REALLY tough for them moving forward and we still hold our own cards with still playing Cincy twice in the second half.

The bengals just benefited from a easy start to there schedule, theres is about to get alot harder. The bengals and browns every year get hyped about being better and finally making a run at it only to fail horribly.

Bengals get us twice, PIT twice, and Houston. Every single one of those a potential loss. I'm pulling for Cincy to beat PIT this week because they will not do it at Heinz Field IMO. We need to sweep them obviously.

Pitt needs to stay out of the playoffs... regardless of what our players are saying about seeing them a third time, I don't want to see them again. Having the Steelers watching the playoffs at Home is more rewarding.

Well unless a 2009 type of collapse occurs in the last 7 games or Big Ben gets hurt I cant imagine the Steelers at the very least not getting a wildcard spot with the schedule they have left. If they beat the Bengals on the road this week the only other game the Steelers potentially could lose would be at San Fran. I dont see the Steelers losing at KC,at home to both Cincy and Cleveland and the Rams, and on the road at Cleveland. As I said on here the other day no team that makes the playoffs in the AFC this season wants to see a team like the Steelers and Roethlisberger come into their stadium and have to beat them to advance in the playoffs.

Love the total absence of humility from Steeler fans. Yes, I'm sure whoever makes the playoffs will quiver in fear as the Steelers come to town. Give us a freaking break. Houston will have no problem facing you guys again I am sure.

Well, all they have to do is lose Sunday and that will make it EXTREMELY tough to make the post season.

I wouldnt say it would make it extremely tough but it will definitely put the Steelers in a bigger hole then are already in...

Ill have no problem facing Houston in the playoffs either down there at Reliant seeing that it will be there 1st time ever in the playoffs facing a team with a ton of playoff experience in the Steelers...

Homefield advantage is nice to have and Ill admit I definitely would prefer it over going on the road but it doesnt guarantee beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are automatically going to win. A lot of players on this current Steelers team have won big games late in the season in Baltimore in the Harbaugh Flacco era with the division title on the line, and Im sure they will have all the confidence in the world they can do it again...Plus, as the old saying goes it's always tough to beat a team 3 times in one season. Even though the Ravens have beaten the Steelers twice this season and have proven so far to be the better team these two teams are still pretty evenly matched in a lot of areas...The Steelers offense proved that they can comeback down by double digits against this Ravens defense this past week seeing that they did it when they were down 10 points and didnt have no Hines Ward or Emmanuel Sanders.

I'll say this, if the Steelers win then we may have to rely on other teams to beat them, taking it out of our hands. Even if the Bengals win we still get to play them twice, keeping us in control of our playoff destiny.

Im just hoping the Steelers win Sunday in Cincy and get that tough game out of the way and the Ravens lose 1 of those next 2 games after the Seattle game to either the Bengals or 49ers in Baltimore. Because while the
Steelers do play the Bengals again at home in about 3 weeks Im not overly concerned about not being able to handle them at home because other then that there are really no tough tough games on the Steelers schedule the rest of the way.. If that happens it will then come down to whether or not the Steelers can win in San Francisco in December and whether the Ravens can win in San Diego the night before. If the Ravens win both of those games in Baltimore against the Bengals and 49ers the Steelers basically will need the Ravens to lose in both San Diego on December 18th and in Cincinnati to close out the season on New Years Day to have any remote chance at all to win the division...
