Albert Haynesworth Released, Claimed By Bucs

38 posts in this topic

The big boy was let go. I think he is one of the best when motivated. If a team were to sign him, it should be to a Braylon Edwards like deal. Do you think anyone will sign him. I don't want the Ravens too, but if he is motivated, he is an upgrade over Cody.

Fat Albert an upgrade over Mt. Cody? Um...no. Cody is what....ten years younger and hasn't even hit his prime yet.

And I'm not surprised Albert's out of a job again. Who cut him this time? I don't even remember.

You must be jokin, he played in a 4-3 defense which all he had to do was shoot gaps and rely on Stephen tulloch to knife through offenses and make plays and you think he was a beast. I have always thought this guy was the biggest joke in football he was never good unless you consider Matt Cassel a premier QB, like he was the year Brady went down. Fat Albert has always been a joke and a nobody who was a product of a system, who would die of a heart attack to get up and answer the phone. This dude is never was or will be more than a laughing stock.

You must be a pretty bad player to be cut from one of the worst defenses in the NFL... I'll pass on Fat Albert.

I don't think anyone else in the League is desirous to take a chance on Albert.

This is what I believe.

He was supposed to be motivated the first few times he was cut. Let the garbage man take care of the Patriots' trash, not us.

Do you remember when people would argue over whether Haloti Ngat or Albert Haynesworth was the best defensive linesman in the league?

Who will be willing to take a chance on him now?
[/quote]

No one... unless the Bengals/Raiders want to. But I doubt they will

Whats that have to do with anything? They still traded for Palmer with 2 very early round picks. Thats a terrible deal any way you look at it, a fleece if you will... just like they did when he was still alive.

Ill say he gets signed.... By tampa bay.. No major reason why.. Just right now i could see them being a tram that would reach for that "extra push" to get them back into the playoff picture

Not a bad guess at all. The Buccaneers did just lose Gerald McCoy for the season with a torn biceps.

At least they're a 4-3 D like Hanes-Worth likes playing in. Although, he was utilized in a 4-3 in NE and still failed.

This was exactly what I was thinking. Haynesworth gets to go back to a 4-3 defense and the Bucs get a high risk, low reward type of player. Plus the Bucs get him cheap too, remember they were willing to throw a bunch of money at him when he was a Free Agent but now they can get him and at a cheap price.

I remember I was teasing one of my friends about her Patriots picking up Haynesworth. She said she felt that if anyone could get him to play, it would be Belichick and his crew. Looks like this was one of his rare failures.

The dude is done, he is not worth a spot on the practice squad to contending teams (although he is ineligible).

Haynesworth's actions since signing that ridiculous contract are disgraceful. He should be ashamed, but he doesn't care because all he wants is a paycheck.
