Forbes Top Ten Most Disliked Players

31 posts in this topic

Forbes had a poll for the most disliked players in the NFL. Most won't surprise anybody, but some might.

10(T). Jeremy Shockey
10(T). T. Romo
8. Carson Palmer
7. Vince Young
6. Chad Ochocinco
5. Jay Cutler
4. Albert Haynesworth
3. Ben Roethlisberger
2. Plaxico Burress
1. Michael Vick

Honestly I think people need to get over what Vick did. Yes it was bad and there is no excuse for it, but everybody makes mistakes. He is trying to turn it around.

Ben doesn't surprise me to much, not only because of his accusations, but because of the way he acted a little during it. Carson does surprise me a little though.

Chad is and isn't a surprise for me. I personally like him.

Cutler doesn't surprise me. I know a guy that use to live in Denver and worked at a car wash place that alot of Broncos player use. He said he was always D-bag to them. I guess the whole city of Denver hates him because of the way he acts.

Wow, unless I'm reading wrong this poll is the players' opinions.
Ah. The picture got a little more clear.

It's worded weird, but I think it's public opinion.

I like Chad. He's the showboat type, but he seems relatively cool other than that.
I like him because he is entertaining and everything he does is all in fun. Maybe i wouldn't like him if he was a Raven and acted like that. IDK

Unclear again, lol.

What problem does the public have with Palmer or Shockey?
" Sorta surprising that nobody from the Ravens made the list, though the irony of Palmer being the Raiders' most disliked player more than makes up for it. "

Shockey's a complete **s, ask any Giants fan. He was like Tiki, would point fingers after a loss. Horrible team player.
I'm guessing that Palmer's "retirement" got him on the list? Other than that, no idea why he's on there.

Who one the Ravens would be on there. I know I still get crap from friends because of Ray Lewis's past, but I can't think of anybody who should be on the list.

Besides the Ray Lewis thing, I think Suggs and Mason (as of last year) would potentially end up on a list like that. Suggs is known for smack talking our rivals so they would vote for him, and we know Mason was a bit of a diva the last few years here.

On another note, my how the mighty have fallen because T.O. didn't make this list.

Shockey, Cutler, and Palmer I dont get. What did I miss?
Don't get Shockey either.

Cutler comes off as an arrogant jerk, and his body langauge doesn't help. (for the record, I'm a fan of his)

Palmer doesn't surprise me at all either. Whether you agree with his demands or not, he quit on the team.

I've always liked Cutler and Shockey. I don't think people will ever be able to let Michael Vick off the hook. I'm torn on him though. I know what he did was wrong, but some of deserve a second chance. Also, there are no Ravens that come to mind when thinking about one of them being the "most disliked". Ryan Wilson is a moron.

Ya, my friend met him quite a few times at his job in Denver. Said he was an arrogant jerk. And his dad fought his battles for him.

Wow, talk about a shot at our team. I guess he voted for our guys so much he's surprised there isn't a player called "Every Raven Ever" on the final list.

Honestly, I'm kind of surprised one of our guys didn't make the list. Considering how much hatred Pittsburgh fans have for our star players, especially Suggs, and given just how many Pittsburgh bandwagoners there are around the league, I wouldn't have been shocked to see Suggs or possibly Lewis on here. A lot of people still see Ray Lewis as a thug. I just read a Bleacher Report article that listed the biggest ego on all 32 teams. I was expecting Suggs would be their choice for the Ravens. Nope, it was Lewis and their rationale was that he thinks he's "above the law" SMH

I didn't mind him getting a second chance, but then he started sounding smug, arrogant and entitled in press conferences again.

I tend to agree with you, J-man. From what I recall, there was a situation back a few years ago, wherein Mark Gastineau, of all people, said that Jeremy needed someone to sit him down and speak to him.
