I swear if I met Skip somewhere in public I'd hit him in his face.

Admit it, Ravens fans: Sometimes, deep in your heart, you wish you were Terrell Suggs.
I couldn't have been today because most of what I would've said would've been bleeped out, and I probably would've gotten suspended. I applaud Sizzle for being classy and not going "off" on that trash. I wouldn't have fared too well in that situation though lol.

I'm just not sure where Brainless was going with that. I mean, first of all comparing Ryan Clark to Ed Reed is a laughable stance to take. I'd expect that from a random Steelers troll on a message board, but from a guy getting paid to be an 'analyst'? Actually, I don't know any Steelers fan that would ever make that comparison, not in real life and not on the Internet. Second, why did he keep trying to pigeon hole Suggs into saying that he believes they'll win the Super Bowl? What point would that prove? That isn't all on just one person, Flacco or otherwise. I just don't get it, I guess. He pronounced Joe wouldn't beat Pitt. in Pitt., Joe did and as far as I'm concerned the whole segment should have been Brainless saying, 'Yea Suggs, I was wrong on that one,'.

He's working his way up to being the most hated man in Baltimore if he isn't already up there.

Skip Bayless is a joke. He predicted Ravens to lose both games against the Steelers, we win in dramatic fashion both games. Yet he wants to bring up the Titans game? Suggs brings up his valid point & Skip tries to deflect. Its either a hit or miss with him 80% of the time you just wonder what he's thinking?! Complete Troll

It was inferred that the interception alone was not sufficient to distinguish Sizzle. IMO it's simplistic to say that because he didn't sack the QB his contribution was diminished. The entire team had championship caliber efforts. If they could bottle that game it would lead to GLORY.

I might even argue that Suggs' best plays came in the week leading up to the game.

As much as Bayless kept trying to take that game-winning drive away from Joe Flacco, he can't do it. Because at the end of the day Joe Flacco is the one who led the Ravens 92 yards in the last two minutes of the game and threw the game-winning TD to Torrey Smith twice. We can all agree that if Ryan Clark's coverage had been better then the TD never could have been thrown. But Clark's coverage wasn't better, and Flacco saw that, and he made the throw. I couldn't even understand why Skip got so hung up on that point. If the coverage had been better the whole game Flacco wouldn't have completed a pass all night long. But it wasn't. Flacco put the ball where his receivers could catch it.

As much respect as I have for Hall of Famer and Nobel Laureate Skip Bayless, the first pass in the end zone to Torrey Smith was catchable, as was the pass to Anquan Boldin on the 10 the next play. And I admire Suggs for going out there and sticking up for his QB, and also for not falling into the trap of guaranteeing a Super Bowl win.

Me neither. It was like he was saying, unless you do it against a defense with all-stars at literally every single position, against perfect coverage under heavy blitzing, it doesn't count.

Man, whose job is it to stop us from scoring? And whose job is it to find where the defense is weak so that we CAN score? That is EXACTLY WHAT A QUARTERBACK DOES. Literally, that's in the job description: Take what the defense gives you. (I say "gives" liberally - heckuva throw and catch there.)

I used not to mind Bayless so much, but now he's just being a jerk.

via bayless's twitter

"Now Terrell Suggs will be on tomorrow's show to gloat. But trust me, he was as surprised as anyone when Flacco threw that late TD pass."

Can't wait to see Sizzle tell Skip what you think of our boy flacco NOW!? Don't matter what the excuse is (GUARANTEE Skip pulls an excuse card) in his heart of hearts skip knows he just got put in his place. Too bad he's so insecure about his sports opinions that he can't just man up and give Joe his props. this guy will think of an excuse instead of admitting he was wrong 9/10 times. Real talk. Gonna wake up early for this!

sizzle better get focused on the seahawks. he wasn´t that big against the steelers after his great talking. i know they doubled him a lot but he also got manhandled by starks every now and then....
Well the scheme had a lot to do with that. The scheme was to contain Roethlisberger most of the game, not to put lots of pressure on him. Suggs could have played better but the scheme was the major reason for the lackluster pass rush.

So I'm not the only one that realized we were quite obviously trying to contain him rather than get pressure? Awesome!

A lot of the play calls were for five man rushes, but they know Big Ben too well and like you said their job was to make sure they didn't over pursue him because that's when Jenny makes those magical plays. Also, gotta give credit where it's due: Pitt.'s O-line held up quite well.

Skip had nothing to Suggs after Suggs called him out on his love fest with Romo...haha

Skip just picks a guy and hates on him, he loves Romo and says he is great..but Romo never makes the playoffs and has had more blunders this year than Joe has his whole career(slight exaggeration?)

So a turnover by Ben isn't worth mentioning, and Suggs didn't impact the game. But Flacco fumbles (and of course the fumbles are always totally his fault), and that proves that he isn't good? Roethlisberger turns the ball over, but he makes up for it by making plays. That's what Flacco did.

yea, at first i was a little ticked because Jarret Johnson and Sizzle would float around the edge instead of bull rushing like they normally do, but i soon realized that they are there to contain, not to sack lol.

Torrey already told the world that he changed his route based on the coverage. Both he and Flacco made the adjustment on the fly , just as they're supposed to. Bayless speculating about what Ed Reed would have done makes no sense. If the coverage was there , the play would have been to Boldin or someone else.

172 IQ for Skippy ??

Not a chance. I want a retest.

Skip bayless doesnt believe what he's saying about flacco. Looks a bit contrived to me.
I agree. Skip can't believe half the things he says, like his supposed blind-love for Tim Tebow and saying Tebow wold lead the Broncos to the playoffs and someday a Superbowl "if he's allowed to do things his way".
