Boxing will never get back to the glory days of Ali-Frazier, and it's a real shame too.

I learned of Smokin' Joe's passing this morning, and I do believe that the world as a whole - including that of the "Sweet Science" - is poorer for having lost him.

Rest Well, Mr. Frazier, for you have earned it.

my heart is hurt with this one! i grew up (late 60s early 70s) watching Smokin Joe and Ali and others bosing matches on FREE tv back in the day. his trilogy with Ali goes down as one of the greatest ever! without Joe there would be no Ali and without Ali there would be no Joe. simply one of the greatest boxer ever and a better man! as a boxing fan (can't stand mma) he will be missed. R.I.P. "Smokin" Joe Frazier.

I read his Obit in the WaPo this morning. I didn't know how much bad blood there had been between him and Ali, but I'm glad they eventually made up.

I had the Thrilla in Manilla on DVD when I was in junior college. You will never see a fight like that between two HOF boxers ever again. How neither of them died that fight I will never know. Great, great boxer with a ton of courage. RIP Smokin Joe.
