Quarter Back

Thoughts:
I don't know if many share my opinion, but I really like this QB class(if Griffin comes out). We all know about Luck, but the other guys aren't bad either. I absolutely love Robert Griffin III. If he doesn't come out, he'd probably be considered next years #1 pick.

While Luck and Griffin are the elite talents, I don't really think Barkley is that far off. He gets a bad rap because of Sanchez and Leinart, but I don't see how he compares to either of those guys except playing for USC. I have seen enough constant improvement for me to believe he'll be a solid QB in the NFL.

I'm not so high on Landry Jones, but I'll admit I haven't watched a lot of him yet.

Rankings:

1. Andrew Luck Stanford:
Posted Image
Height: 6'4
Weight: 235 lbs.
Stock: #1 Pick
Comparison: Aaron Rodgers

Pros:

- Elite decision maker
- Good accuracy
- Most pro-ready QB in years
- Great footwork
- Excellent mobility
- Can make every throw
- Very athletic
- Extremely intelligent (good football I.Q as well)
- As Polished as a college QB can get
- Great at selling play-action
- Shows great leadership skills

Cons:

- Will have to be extremely tough mentally
- Might never live up to the hype

Closing Comments:
What can I say about Luck that hasn't already been said. Hes far and away the most hyped prospect in NFL history. The guy has all the tools to become a special QB in the NFL. Its Pretty hard to find flaws, and college QB's just shouldn't be this polished. What makes it even more amazing is that he doesn't really have elite talent at the WR/TE position. He also is in a run first offense, which could really mess with a QB's rhythm, but it hasn't done anything to Luck. People talk about his arm, but I honestly don't see any problem with it. His arm isn't any weaker than Rodgers was coming out of Cal, and hes shown improvement in that department every year.

2. Robert Griffin III Baylor
3. Ryan Tannehill Texas A&M
4. Kirk Cousins Michigan St
5. Nick Foles Arizona

Wide Receiver

1. Michael Floyd Notre Dame:
Posted Image
Height: 6'3
Weight: 225 lbs.
Stock: 1st/2nd Round
Comparison: Larry Fitzgerald

Pros:
- Elite body control
- Excellent hands
- Prototypical size
- Shields off defenders with little problem
- Excellent deep threat
- Great at jump balls
- Red Zone nightmare
- Extremely productive
- Has experience in a pro-style offense

Cons:
- Durability concerns
- Character Issues
- Don't see a wide selection of routes

Closing Comments:
Floyd is the best WR in the class, and I honestly didn't have too hard a time coming to this conclusion. You could point out concerns, but I can't find anything significant on the field. He has everything you're looking for in a WR. He probably wont be the first WR taken because of his character issues. He could fall out of the 1st with a sub-par off-season, but I can't see all 32 teams passing on him.

2. Justin Blackmon Oklahoma State
3. Alshon Jeffery South Carolina
4. Dwight Jones North Carolina
5. Mohammed Sanu Rutgers
6. Kendall Wright Baylor
7. Juron Criner Arizona
8. Nick Toon Wisconsin
9. Marvin McNutt Iowa
10 - tied.
AJ Jenkins Illinois & Rueben Randle LSU

O-Line

OT:

1. Matt Kalil USC
2. Jonathan Martin Stanford
3. Mike Adams Ohio State
4. Riley Reiff Iowa
5. Barret Jones Alabama

C:

1. Peter Konz Wisconsin
2. Michael Brewster Ohio State
3. Ben Jones Georgia

G:

1. David Decastro Stanford
Posted Image
Height: 6'5
Weight: 310 lbs.
Stock: 1st Round
Comparison: Logan Mankins

Pros:
- Elite run blocker
- Very instinctive
- High football I.Q.
- Great pass-blocker
- Pancake machine
- Can overpower or outsmart d-lineman
- Very nimble feet for such a massive person
- Plays with mean streak

Cons:
???

Closing Comments:
I have always had the opinion that I wouldn't draft a guard in the 1st round, but Decastro is one of those rare guys I'd make an exception for. I was literally blown away watching his games. He is a grown man playing out there. I think hes the best o-lineman in the class, and I'll be shocked if he isn't perennial pro-bowler in the NFL, who competes for all-pro honors every year.

Just saw some tape on Robert Griffin for the first time, the TCU game to be exact. In my opinion, he does a good job of setting his feet and sells the play action very, very well. I have to tell you though. Some of those passes were simply remarkable.

So are these only seniors; guaranteed to be in the draft, or are there juniors as well. Thought there was a possibility Lemichael James might come out this year? Correct me if I'm wrong.

The top three WRs are tough to rank for me. Blackmon is a complete receiver, as is Floyd, while Jeffery is a huge target with good hands. Dwight Jones is a great player too. That's a tough group to rank at this point.

Just a suggestion, but I think you should do a Best Case Comparison and Worst Case Comparison.

Interesing that you have Brewster Ranked as your no.2 center, is konz expeceted to be off the board when we pick? or why are we always being linked with brewster and not konz, it made me think brewster was by far the standout C

you're right, It'll be interesting to see who comes out in their junior year though. I really hope a lot of guys do or else this draft doesn't interest me too much at this point.

Konz is a stud. I too believe he is ahead of Brewster. He has everything you look for in a center. Brewster is probably better as far as technique at this point, but Konz has more potential imo. Great run blocker and a good pass blocker.

Alright, I'll try that out.

Although that is kind of tricky, as I am not a big believer in ceiling/floor predictions. The comparisons aren't really best case comparisons, its just who they remind me of/similar skill set.

I think both will be solid pros, but Konz may stay in school for another year.

But hes almost a guarantee to go 1st round if he comes out this year, so maybe he will come out.
