With the success of Torrey Smith on a small scale should we sit evans until the playoffs regardless of when he is healthy or should we maybe rotate him in and out with smith because we have shown that we don't need Evans right away but we don't want him rusty in the playoffs either.

No, if he can come back sooner he needs to, so he can get back into the flow of the game and connect with Joe Flacco. Evans and Coach Harbaugh sounded optimistic about his progress this past week, so it sounds like he is close.

Why is this a question?

He's healthy, he plays. He's not, he sits. You don't "save it" till the playoffs. If you try it, you probably won't make the playoffs.

Evans will be an X-Factor. There is simply no tape on him and with Torrey we could have two burners on the field at the same time.

If we wait until the playoffs (if we get there mind you...one week at a time!)...it may wrinkle the chemistry that lifted the offense to the playoffs. Wouldn't want to jeopardize that. Playing him here and there will help get him acquainted with Joe and the rest of the guys.

With Evans our receiving corps could be very similar to Pittsburgh's in that Torrey/Lee = Wallace/Brown and Anquan>Ward or Cotchery....Just my 2 cents obviously they aren't the same by any stretch of the imagination but with 2 burners on the outside and an elite possession guy in the slot it would really open the playbook ALLOT. We all saw how well Q was doing over the middle last night against the "number one" passing d. Last night along with the addition of Lee Evans, I think our offense becomes allot scarier.

I put rotate him in. It's hard to work new players in that deep in the year, if it's not until the playoffs he might not see any snaps at all. That was their reason for Stallworth only running reverses.

No way you wait till the playoffs to play him, needs to build chemistry with Joe and his other Wrs. If he can't come back till the playoffs, the FO might don't even bother playing him but then again, we could just teall him to run nothing but 9 routes and that will help with the underneath stuff.

Put Lee Evans and Torrey Smith on the outside and Anquan Boldin at the slot.

Lee Evans needs to hurry up and get healthy so our offense can finally take off.

Play him as soon as possible. People are forgeting that Evans was really good. Injuries have been bad for him lately but what ya gonna do? Torrey has been stepping up and you get a proud feeling watching him get better each game, but in the long run it will help everyone out. We know what Torrey can do now, Joe clearly trust him and they both now have a huge confidence boost in eachother. But Boldin really is our only reliable reciever. Evans and him are vets who know what to do. Torrey still drops alot of passes but its alright because hes still a rookie. What Joe needs is his other deep threat, I think our offense would be deadly runnin Boldin,Evans,Smith. If we give Joe 6-8 seconds to throw like we gave Ben then they can get open and make big plays for us. I cant wait till Evans comes back
