Steelers Fans Are So............bitter

Well....we'll agree to disagree, but right or wrong I hate what Goodell has done with this league. Concussions or not, both were great football plays and up till very recently would have been viewed as nothing less.

I actually agree with you (cringe)... while it did look like Clark launched, he was just doing his job, and barely glanced off the helmet. The fine was appropriate though because he's a repeat offender.

I just don't understand why the personal foul was for "Hitting A Defenseless Receiver" when Dickson had secured the catch... it should have been "Helmet-to-Helmet" if anything.

Clark has been doing this crap all year long hitting guys late when they are out of bounds or hitting them helmet to helmet. The bad part about it from the Steelers persepctive is he keeps doing it at key points during the game where it's costing the Steelers yards and points. Clark needs to try and knock it off and quit being so arrogant about it when they ask him about it like they did the other day...

Agreed... I couldn't believe what he said in response to the fine, talking about blowing a guy's knees out or putting him to sleep permanently... highly inappropriate and completely unacceptable.

He's worse than Harrison IMO, Harrison had a bad year last year but Clark has been doing this for a while. I watch him cost you in games, and I laugh. Especially 2009, he killed you on a couple late game drives against bad teams.

I agree 100 percent and I am no fan of Ryan Clark at all...You have got to understand at some point that you just cannot continue to lead with your helmet with hits. and continue to hit players late out of bounds when the play is clearly over and done with. Clark apparently just doesnt get it and his act is getting old and tiresome with me...

The team almost seems to be encouraging it. If what Clark said about Tomlin using his fined hit as an example of a good one is true, he's an idiot. Especially since the Steelers are probably the most watched team in the league for helmet-to-helmet/defenseless receiver penalties after last year and Harrison's comments. Clark's just adding fuel to the fire. Makes me laugh.

Whatever, didnt you know that if you dont lead with your helmet it is not a hard hit. I for one love it, that sorry <butt> will never learn and it has already cost the steeler's and will continue to.

As a Steeler fan, this is one of the first games I can see where people can feel bitter right after the game. BUT and that's a big but, once anyone who knows football and thinks about the game the next day, they should realize this game was not about the refs.

This was probably said in here many times already, I haven't read all the pages. But the fact that Flacco was like Montana on 3rd down and the interception by Suggs. Plain and simple, those two things were the big differences between the teams. Defenses were similar, so were the offenses, you had a slight edge on special teams except for the fg miss. As for the fg the Steelers didnt take at the end, I actually thought punting was a better idea either way because your offense was a little stagnant in the 4th.

Overall, the Ravens deserved to win this game, now its silly to say how much someone deserved to win something but this was a very very fair game. What I hate most isn't the actual win, it's the confidence this gives the Ravens over the Steelers. I think this game was more important to the Ravens mentality than the week 1 stomping they gave the Steelers.

Either way, good game Ravens, I think we'll be seeing you at M&T for the afc championship.

The Steelers games are in the past. We cannot have another let-down and choke like we did in Tennessee or Jacksonville. Let's take it one game at a time. We need to keep winning and end up 14-2 or 13-3, so that we don't need to worry about the Steelers at Heinz in the playoffs.

There is a store in White Marsh Mall, I think its called Driving Impressions, that sells these signs. But I am pretty sure you could get them from Poor Boys, which are big Ravens stores too.

Like I said before, they have the confidence of King Leonaidas right now and that was more potent almost than the win, especially on down the road. If Joe and the O can drive 92 yards down the field with over 2 mins left on the Steelers D which was #1 against the pass at the time, they can do it on anyone. If they can convert 3rd downs like that on the Steelers, they can do it on anyone. Its very encouraging for us as fans knowing that Joe is working with a couple of rookie WRs, 2 year players in his TEs and Boldin, and a O-Coordinator that seems to go against the grain a lot. This team hasn't reached its peak and they are no where near reaching it like a lot of teams in the NFL so to do what we did was pretty impressive.

I'm not saying this to say we will neva lose again but it was definitely a mental barrier that we crossed to sweep the Steelers. Now, maybe Cam can dial up plays in the future vs the Steelers and not over respect them sort to speak. What really impressed me just as much as Joe was how Cam was calling plays. Seems like he has finally figured something out and is catering more to the players strength but I won't speak to soon on that.

@ Pitts200

"What I hate most isn't the actual win, it's the confidence this gives the Ravens over the Steelers. I think this game was more important to the Ravens mentality than the week 1 stomping they gave the Steelers."

I agree , but I think it's the combined effect of the big win at home plus the comeback at Heinz that boosted confidence so much.

For the Steelers , even though they lost , at least they know they can still hang tough with the Ravens. Had they lost big , as in week 1 , I think their confidence would have been damaged even more than it was boosted for the Ravens.

As things stand , both teams can rightly expect to meet a third time.

Frankly , I like it that way. I want the Ravens to go to the SB this year - and win - but I want them to have to beat the meanest , toughest teams in the NFL to do it , right down to the end. If the Steelers are one of those teams in the playoffs , so be it.

If , as Suggs said , the whole world was watching the second Ravens-Steelers game , then the whole universe will be watching the third. He'll be up in that cameraman's face again , saying : "Let me ask you one more time ; ' Are you not entertained ?!!?' "

Joe driving 92 yards in 2 minutes at heinz was 10x the confidence booster than the week 1 beat down. The Ravens never seem to win the down to the wire games with pitt and the media let's us know about it often. For Joe to completely destroy that stigma is unbelievable. The pitt fans still are in shock, it hasn't even sunk in on their side yet. It's like they know they got swept but their minds just try to justify it in any ridiculous way they can.

My personal favorite: "It was the Ravens Super Bowl AGAIN!".

lmao

They still think only Brady or Manning or Rodgers or Brees can drive 92yrd to win the game.....

I mean the stigma from the Ravens fans that Joe can't be a clutch QB. Of course the analysts still don't believe in Joe, who cares. I'm just saying it's great for all us fans who are so used to losing in that situation (I pointed out the media also let's us know about it all the time). When we got the ball on the 8 yd line with 2 minutes, 1 timeout, against pitt, @ Heinz.. how many of us said "here we go again" and just watched with no expectations of winning. That's not a lack of faith in our team, but we just have no reason to believe otherwise.

Joe finally destroyed the stigma that he can't be clutch game and have those singanture game winning drives (against a top tier teams at least). I won't lie, I had a little faith in Flacco to win that game. I've always been a fan of Flacco and supported him, it was just my gut feeling. Next time the ball is in Joe's hands to win.. I'll believe.

Few of them are actually giving us credit for winning. Most are decrying the refs in some way. A few even went to so as to say they won't complain about the refs for fear of being like raven's fans. Then again, this shouldn't be so unexpected i guess.
My best friend = diehard steelers fan. His first comment after that game was good win for the refs, flags won us that game. So most of them feel that the only reason the steelers lose, because of flags.
